3:25 Sheera and Lupa cooking them Roshi yams. 13:45 The difference between Sara and Abby is Sara was manipulated by this place, by the monsters or w/e, with the messages on the arms, the headaches, similar to Boyd's worms and hallucinations. Abby was purely psychological, she mentally snapped from the stress and thought that killing people would wake them up from this "dream/nightmare" (basically the wife's situation in Inception who... well spoilers, but you know if you have seen the movie). And the lone shooter dude did it more so for revenge because Boyd pushing back against this place by looking for a way out by exploring deep into the forest and bringing back the worms did make things worse. It caused the people to get attacked in their sleep, which ended up killing the dude's gf, so he mainly wanted to get revenge against Boyd specifically for making things worse.

I don't like to be negative about a person, but man, I can't help feel dissapointed with the performance of Elgin's actor. I wouldn't mind if he was playing a minor role/side character. I mean, I could even tolerate the dude who lost his mind and shot Boyd. But since he is playing a more main/important role, it's difficult to overlook. I think he may lack some experience with major roles (based on IMDB) and add to that the sometimes mid/cringe writing/directing of this show. Not a good combination for him. I'm not saying everyone else has a oscar worthy performance, but with him for some reason it's more apparent. I felt this way about him since the first episode he appeared on and unfortunately did not change by the end of this season.

If it wasn't for her, Boyd would have died in the forest if she wasn't there to convince him to go back to town and stop looking for the lighthouse and the boy in white only appeared to her at that time too. She also has been the only one to provide at least some semblance of what entities are trustworthy and what ones aren't. She can directly talk to whatever spirits or monsters or whatever are controlling this place and get info no one else knows. And she isn't afraid to share shit and risk sounding crazy like literally everyone else cuz everyone already thinks she's crazy. She also has saved Julie's and Ethan's lives.

This season is peak, even with some characters being frustrating asl the way it ends is so fire imo. I like that the actions, smart or stupid, have consequences. Also, I'm ngl I'm team Boyd overall but it's clear the way he feels about the cop lady is partially projection. Crashing out on her over what happened when she first got here is just as ridiculous as if someone were to crashout on him for not shooting Abby immediately when he got back to town. She literally saw humanoid creatures everywhere, there was no way to know wtf was goin on, and just like him she doesn't just take a back seat when she wants to take initiative. She also has no reason to trust Boyd like the town does since she don't have any context beyond how he's acting with her, I just hope they make them both somewhat reasonable instead of making her stay an op for no reason LOL. Jim is 100% annoying this season, but I think the writing for why kinda makes sense. From his perspective, every time they tried to find shit out the place clapped back. Tried the radio? A dude knew his name and where his wife was and told them to stop. Digging in the basement? The house collapsed and a dude got mauled under there with him, bro had to stay there all night. Boyd went to the forest to find a way out? Fucking cicadas spawned in and his daughter was being tortured in some unknown ass way. Sara thought she knew the way out? Tried to kill their son. Tabitha thought she knew the way out? Went missing and he had to grieve as if she were dead. Literally EVERY TIME someone tries some shit something happens to his family, so I get it but like Tabitha said, fuck shit will happen here REGARDLESS. So I am NOT boutta just sit there and be chill 💀

Yes exactly, I don't think it's insensitive to bring up Abby, she is the ultimate bad outcome of what the hallucinations and bad thoughts can cause. What happened to her was worse than what happened with Sarah because she fully lost control and surrendered to a delusion, she wasn't just tricked by an entity. She went over the edge completely. If that happens to Fatima then there will be no saving her.

“Not saying his feelings are wrong but his actions are dumb” and that’s why as much as I enjoy the show I sometimes feel like the writing is really bad. They have the characters doing things that just doesn’t make sense given their knowledge of their situation, what they are presently experiencing, and just a dash of common sense. How in this situation would not talking about your experience make sense? How does not believing someone on face value in your present situation make any sense? You are actively being hunted. Your surroundings are actively trying to do you harm. In what world does not supporting each other and communicating a sensible course of action? You have to seriously suspend your disbelief/ common sense to make this show work. After week 2 there you know what’s up and continuing to deny after months or years is just odd.

When it was his own ideas he's all gung ho about it, but when it's anybody else he's immediately dismissive and then emotional. Ever since rewatching with the trio I noticed subtle things that never seemed like they were linked until someone pointed it out. The thing with Kenny’s Mom hopes for food becoming reality, the Monsters standing in front of colony house but not walking toward Acosta while she was shooting and now with Tillie being killed. It’s like one Giant board game and the Monsters are slowly steering the town towards game over.

I think sheeras (and roshi slighty ) confusion about the Abby thing and its relation to Fatima is because what happened to Abby nobody thinks had anything to do with the place or anything supernatural they just believe she went crazy and the stress got too her, while with the worms with boyd it was actually there but we couldn't see it. So When Donna is talking to Boyd shes like either its real and dangerous or she's losing her mind and that's also dangerous

Many of Jim's ideas have went up in flames, pushing him and Randall to have their on idea of the place which backfired for them.
