No spoilers, but the next episode is probably the most emotionally draining episode of the entire series. And it is an absolute masterpiece of television writing and directing. One of the best episodes of television I've ever seen.

The i don't need love scene is what made Connor my favorite character and why I compared him to Eric Matthews. They're both comedic relief characters that the show teaches you not to take seriously and i wouldn't trust to boil water but they both can be stone cold serious and they get your full attention.

The 3 main kids are fucking annoying. We got 3 kids who think they deserve everything handed to them. They each haven’t made a single thing by themselves. Then everytime the kids do things to Logan and he retaliates they get upset at Logan😐 like they said go ask for more money and when he decides to go do it… OMG why is he doing that. Like Logan is literally trying to get them out of the company because he sees that they are each unable to run that company is crazy. Logan is right none of his kids are serious people. Shiv has no accountability, Kendall is a addict and unstable and Roman is HR's worst nightmare. The most adjusted person is actually Conner he knows who he is he's a scavenger. He expects the scraps if anything at all. His siblings are assholes to him Roman basically said he was lucky to be invited to the table when they were supposed to be doing something for him with his wedding.

i love when you can just see the youngest child in roman's expressions and the way he acts. Connor was spitting at the end, the others always compete to be daddy's favorite, his most special, important kid. Connor was never considered to even be in the running so he knows how to survive in a loveless life while the others feed off of love and attention from everyone. very sad

Man Alan Ruck killed this episode with just a handful of lines. Seeing him sitting alone with no friends after Willa and the bridal party left, saying he wanted to do karaoke "because I've seen it on TV and no one ever wants to go" and then of course saying he's learned to live without love and made it his superpower... that's about as bad as I could feel for a billionaire with radically different politics from mine. What a sad character.

Con grew up without a mom because his dad Logan institutionalised his mom in the 80s or 70s when women were institutionalised for almost anything but he was old enough to remember that when it happened and his dad never gave a fuck about him because unlike his siblings that were from a high stock seed (nobility mother) his was a normal woman that Logan married before he got rich

Correct - Logan calls her "Pinky" because she's his fourth child (and your pinky is your fourth finger). She behaves significantly more maturely than Roman to be sure, but she's actually the youngest kid.

Correct, but he's playing it off with his siblings like he wants to blow up the deal to squeeze a bigger offer out of Matsson for the company, which is what it appears Shiv wants, because she's not sure they can actually finance the deal to buy Pierce right now (they'll need to come up with a few billion more than what they're going to get from the Waystar sale). Kendall very clearly cares a lot more about winding up with the CEO title under his belt than getting a massive sum of money (I think each of Logan's kids stand to get something like $2 billion apiece after the sale) handed to him from the immediate sale.

There are no good people on this show. Some of them are less horrible than others, but they're all snakes, every last one of them. And I don't just mean the Roys. I don't think we've had a single character appear on this show that makes you think, "What a kind and generous person this is".

it actually sad to see how Roman craves actual validation/recognition from Logan. You can see his discomfort during that scene and him downplaying his childhood and just taking the blame by saying he was an annoying kid. Logan has really done a number on all of his children in different ways

That last scene at that Karaoke bar was such a great scene. Logan knows that they going to fuck up the deal but no matter how hard he tries to show them desperation by apologizing and being soft, he screwed them for so long, nothing was working. Then he realized these kids are too fucked in the head emotionally to make a good business decision. They’re driven by nothing but anger and vengeance against him.

Knowing what happens next makes the scene at the Karaoke bar more poignant. This being your last conversation with your dad would suck. And Logan's last words to them not being "serious people" was totally accurate and will ring in their heads the rest of their lives.
