This is honestly my favourite part of the series - the post-Logan world and everyone battling for control of the vacuum.

Tancho22

Please drop all episodes tomorrow

How does running out of space work and how does asking for more work?

Reign

The show creator actually said in a interview that Logan underlined Kendall’s name. There’s a video online about him talking about it

Jamie
>>168398018

They probably run out of space and then they probably ask them for more?

Purple Haze

The show creator said it was Kendall. Well he said “well he wouldn’t write a name with an underline for no reason” it was Kendall.

em

marcia did a negotiating tactic where she stated two numbers and told him to pick between to give the illusion of choice/deal making. most likely, the low number was market value, so any number he would choose between would be profit for her. after that she just had to railroad him to the handshake, and he feels good because he picked a low number in the range she gave him.

em
>>168401437

also tells me: 1. she knew the market value of the house before the wake. already with the intention to sell it, she had no sentimental value with the house she had a life with logan in. 2. connor is truly not one of them because he doesnt suspect his family members to act like vultures. he loved his dad and truly just wanted the house, but he came to the table without any knowledge of how much it was worth on the market because thats not where its value is for him

Ren Lichtfoot

Patreon staff tearing their hair out rn "These three? AGAIN!?"

Anatoly

I think it must have been underlined. If it was crossed out, the first few letters would have been properly crossed out and then the line would get wonky.

Ernie

For 3 seasons we heard that Shiv doesnt have experience and she still out here asking for more... WITHOUT EXPERIENCE At that point you just asking for gain, without actually working for it.

Nexa
>>168399238

I really wish the creator didn’t say that It’s way better when something like that is left to the audience to make their own conclusion It puts us in Kendall’s headspace

anna

the old guard are hilarious

Reign
>>168399238

I totally agree, one of the best part of a movie & show is when something can be interpreted one way or another.

Yimmy Yurner

The Three started speaking so much more like Logan at his wake “It needs to look dry, lean,” “I need to wet my beak” lol

Tuny kun

I won't ever forget a family member dying and watching other family members fight over their possessions. Their kids, siblings, parents, etc. It's so disgusting. Like zero mourning time. Just straight to fuck those other people let ME get their shit. Absolutely awful.

anna

man if i was shiv i’d end it. dad dead, pregnant, hate your husband, already getting cut out, and on top of all that FALLING???….hell no

Delgado

Shiv Is just delusional, she was never in position for CEO

Moon God

IDK if y'all consider this to be spoilers, but the showrunner for Succession quite literally said Kendall's name was underlined, not crossed out. Hope this clears up some confusion for this episode and the remaining season. Why would you start from the bottom of something you are crossing out? Don't UNDERlines, start UNDER the words? Also I get the feeling Frank is more of a father than Logan ever was.

Delgado
>>168406397

Kendall mostly and Roman are more in position. Shiv has been told she has no experience in multiple seasons whereas Kendall and Roman have actual connections with board members /investors

Chief Doodle

Fun fact, the fourth and final season(s) of Succession and Barry were being aired by HBO on the same night every Sunday. So you were seeing Fuches back to back.

anna
>>168406397

i mean both kendall and shiv were explicitly promised it in earlier seasons. she was always in contention for the position as much as her brothers. whether or not logan was actually going to go through with it doesn’t master as much, but he did promise it to her. so she has as much a right as her brothers to fight for it.

Skye Brooklyn

marcia is fs lying. she came out the woodworks bc logan’s dead and she wants her money and security. by saying “we spoke intimately every night” it puts fake validity back into their relationship for the optics. if she tells everyone they talked every day it won’t seem like they were estranged and no one will question her getting her share as his “wife”. that’s why she told connor she would give him the house for 60 million she made it sound like she was doing something gracious cuz they’re family but she really wanted that coin

Delgado
>>168406397

I mean yea fair she can fight for it but from an outsider perspective she has no leg to stand on. Kendall’s name was actually on the piece paper regardless of interpretation, Roman was visibly close w Dad and Matson dealings. They have a leg to stand on, that’s why when they can’t go for 3 positions at the top for the siblings because adding Shiv isn’t reasonable and looks like favouritism

Skye Brooklyn

9:19 it’s crazy bc last episode when the kids were talking to frank, karl, and carolina on the plane when they were preparing a statement without the kids’ knowledge and frank was saying how he knew logan for 40 years and he’s not pulling anything but this proves that was bullshit. they saw an opportunity to start taking the reigns from the kids before they knew what was what

Tank

Did yall watch the mha trailer?

sol jam

If only Ken is always like this but he's only a killer when he's upset not out of his nature and that's what Logan told him too he's NOT a killer even Rome they both become killer under conditions ONLY SHIV is a killer as a part of her nature

Delgado
>>168409373

I mean at the end of the days it’s business. I mean Logan wouldn’t think twice about firing frank multiple times despite knowing him 40 years. And they have to do what’s best for shareholders

Skye Brooklyn
>>168406397

none of them are for specific reasons she’s not any more or less delusional than kendal or roman. why is she singled out?

Charmaine

smh kerry was sucking old wrinkly peen for nothing 🤧

Delgado
>>168406397

But that’s my point, they can’t back her nor do they have the power to.

Delgado
>>168410023

How is Shiv a killer? I think Kendal has done more to be a killer than Shiv- I mean he’s actually gone against his dad and the company multiple times

Marquist Simms

Guys talk too much anc miss the jokes and important information. All 3 did it this episode

DTGstl314

Hugo didn't tell his daughter to sell, he just told her that Logan had died. Her decision to sell Waystar stock after getting that news but before it was public knowledge is gonna look like insider trading, which could lead to both of them facing serious criminal charges.

Moon God

Idk how y'all can take Marcia's side "that's the result of being the other one" that makes literally no sense. EVERYONE ATTRACTIVE IS 'THE OTHER ONE' TO LOGAN. Marriage literally has no meaning aside from the optics and the semblance of stability for Logan ('The Big Man', who is isolated from even his offspring needed Marcia to help contain his feelings), Sheera talking about Marcia and Kerry like it was some sort of secret that bit Kerry in the butt, but in reality Kerry had way more claim to his wealth than Marcia (She was actually there for HIM especially during his death, she's not performing only for the money like Marcia, Marcia's more of an escort than a wife). SIDE NOTE BECAUSE Y'ALL LOVE TO INFURIATE ME WITH YOUR REACTIONS: Shiv has ZERO experience, she IS a narcissist, she just wants POWER, she has never been apart of the company aside from when Logan was getting her off his back. She wants to do the best out of all people in her life, including her siblings who she will beat down at any point to do it.

Josh

Day 17 of my campaign for a Mr Robot/Dark reaction.

Moon God
>>168410023

Shiv is the most spiteful out of them all, she rushes to big decisions that benefit her the most ESPECIALLY in situations where she PERCEIVES that she isn't getting the absolute most she can, she's a self serving narcissist like 80% of the time. Kendall, despite being impulsive and volatile actually has the experience, know-how, and drive to guide Waystar through to prosperity. Roman is just a good soldier for the company, he does what he's told, he's not overly intelligent, and he's a pussy. At most points in business discussion, Kendall is the one proposing ideas that grow Waystar, Roman and Shiv get jealous and then sabotage him and Logan just does what Logan does and either ignores, manipulates, or destroys Kendall. All the other siblings are just running around like headless chickens, playing the appease/betray power dynamic game with each other and Logan because they A. cannot handle being outmatched by their own siblings or B. because they are afraid of Logan.

Sharpeyz

Lupa with the fresh retwist IKTR 😌🔥

Skye Brooklyn

sheera stop falling for kendall’s bullshit. we’ve seen what kendall does when any position of power he fucks that shit right on the fuck up every time the show tells u that. he absolutely is pushing shiv out, he wants CEO hella bad and he needed roman’s yes and partnering with him made him switch sides bc he knows him. shiv is a woman and kendall knows how that, without their backing especially, nobody will support her so they’re pushing her out. shiv has literally saved them several times, she’s been apart of several deals over the past 4 seasons but somehow she “doesn’t have the experience”. they did this in the beginning of the show they inevitably push shiv out bc she’s the woman and they don’t think she’ll be taken seriously. but like she never gets a REAL actual chance to prove herself, she’s ALWAYS undermined or betrayed before she can do anything. i fucking hate kendall dude

sol jam
>>168417357

with how he always miss I'm surprised he was able to have children

Skye Brooklyn
>>168410023

nah bro they are ALL spiteful are we forgetting all the spiteful things roman and kendall have done to people cmon

Nexa

I’m gonna be so real Are Kendall and Roman really that much more qualified than Shiv? I mean…Roman has basically been taking L’s the whole show so far, the only real W that I can remember was at the end of season 2 when he, Karl and the accounting guy went abroad Then Roman tried to go to the whole business mini school that Gerri recommended in season two or one but then like dropped out after like a day Kendall massively overpaid for Vaulter in Season 1 and got screwed. Couldn’t handle the situation when he tried to remove his father from the board the first time. Im probably blanking on some other situations All ima say is, so far they are seem all as bad as each other to be honest.

Delgado
>>168417357

Being apart of business deals doesn’t mean you qualify for CEO lol. Shiv thought playing Logan’s favourite would “earn” her CEO. Even Roman went to the parks to get some training whereas Shiv relied on “take your kid to work day “ with Logan and even then Logan was still blindsiding her on business and she ended up embarrassed when she tried to announce herself as ceo at that dinner This also the same woman who manipulated the SA victim no?

terrakion.is.good

Kendall was like 85%. He needs to turn into a killer like his dad, bending over Hugo was more or less the first step to that. He was also 100% right about Shiv. She didn't even do the bullshit managerial training like Roman did. 3 co-CEOs is just way to much, especially when one has a month of experience.

Skye Brooklyn
>>168417357

roman spent what… a week at training and came back with NOTHING to show for it. he didn’t come back with more innovative ideas or better work ethic, he didn’t even stay that long, and how has roman and kendall not benefited from being being logan’s current favorite as the reason THEY should be CEO? and again i say she was never REALLY given a chance to proven herself one way or another of whether she handle being CEO. logan put her in kindergarten and only allowed her to apart of deals, he never allowed her to elevate to anything else

Yunior Benz

React to the movies den of thieves 1 and part 2

Delgado
>>168417944

Cmon man, Kendall went to business school and worked for the company for decades and he was actually considered by Logan as next and board members can believe that (frank supports this) Roman has clearly been a low achiever and joker in earlier seasons but he has been beneficial in securing extra capital with matson and the foreigner In what world would Shiv be as qualified as the rest, she essentially came in as an intern for her dad.

Delgado
>>168418811

Thank you. 3 ceos with one of them being inexperienced makes it look bad for ALL of them not just the inexperienced one.

cami ً

i may be way off here, but it wouldn’t surprise me if gerri, frank, and karl crossed off logan’s letter… but i wouldn’t put it past logan either, especially after kendall switched on him. either way, i don’t think kendall would be a good ceo. and to be fair, money aside, i don’t think any of the roy siblings want to be ceo because they want to manage their father’s company - i think they feel entitled to it *because* it’s their father’s company and they’re his (spoiled rotten) children… and because being chosen as ceo by logan would mean being acknowledged by him, which we’ve seen them try to achieve since episode 1

Delgado
>>168417357

Yes, she was put in kindergarten whereas Kendall went business school and spent decades working for the company. Roman had a short lived entry level management training. Whilst Shiv wanted to come in 6 months and become CEO of one of the biggest companies worldwide you see the delusion? There’s literally no comparison + she never truly wanted CEO in the first place

Joni
>>168419882

i'm not a forensic expert but isn't there like a way to check how long it's been since the 'crossed line' has been on the paper? like some chemical way or something idk lol

Nexa
>>168417944

I’m talking about the achievements in the show. Not background lore I also forgot that Roman’s actions led to the explosion of the satellite launch at the end of season one. Sure he secured extra capital with the foreign investment but it’s not like it led to anything right. They still rejected it. Roman even said they were flaky so whether or not it would have been good is up in the air. In regards to matson, yeah sure he brought him to the table for discussions but matson never even took him seriously and only ever seriously talked to Logan at the end of season 3 when they were both together. Roman had to be sent away. All I’m saying is that from what I’ve seen. Kendall and Roman aren’t really the best people to be handling this shit. Neither is Shiv mind you because “experience” but the gap in terms of what I’ve seen isn’t that huge. Honestly none of them seem built for it which is why I think Logan said to them “you aren’t serious people”

Moon God
>>168417944

A. Shiv has never been involved in the company. B. Shiv is narcissistic (compared to any other character), extremely spiteful, and filled with jealousy that her siblings are doing more than her. She simply wants power, not any of the responsibilities that follow. C. Kendall is the only one making suggestions to advance waystar in big ways, Roman and Shiv only sabotage HIS ideas. D. Roman and Shiv lived under Logan's shadow since day one, they'd self correct the sibling who was getting too much attention and try to suck up to the big man, Kendall has been the only one trying to 'make his own pile' at the suggestion of his dad who wants him to be more of a killer in order to take over the company that he literally had down in paper as going to Kendall. Kendall is really the only right choice. Yes they're all flawed in their own ways (Roman is a coward/isn't too smart on his own, Shiv is spiteful and inexperienced, Kendall is impulsive and volatile) but Kendall shows the most promise as CEO. He is oriented towards the business elements regarding deals, relationships, and negotiation and is capable of thinking about the COMPANY's long term goals.

Derrick B
>>168418811

I think Shiv knows how this will play out. Being pushed to the side and her brothers truly running things regardless of their promise. Not to say she wouldn't do the same, but I think her thing was wanting to be given the same opportunities as her brothers. A prequel to see how they all got to where they were before the series started would probably be pretty enlightening. I imagine Logan was always propping his sons up to be involved with the company while Shiv was being supported to do something else, which led to her political career. Speculation of course.

Moon God

-= Spoiler (?) =- Leaving another comment about the piece of paper in hopes y'all read it for next episode, Kendall's name WAS underlined and not struck out, as stated by one of the showrunners.

anna
>>168418811

that’s a good point. it reminds me of season 1 when logan tries to get her to quit working for gil, asking her to finally come into the company. when he says ‘i always thought you were the smartest’ and she responds with ‘that’s why you tried out kendall and roman first’ which pisses her off because a part of her has always wanted to prove herself in the company. it definitely gives the idea that logan never wanted or expected her to join the company. sort of similar to connor where he was never encouraged.

Nexa
>>168417944

What good ideas and long term thinking has Kendall expressed throughout the show so far though? Like I’m actually curious because nothing comes to mind To me they are all damaged broken characters who haven’t really shown the competency to be CEO. They aren’t serious people.

Danielle C

Karl said as a friend 😭😭😭 one of my fave parts of S4 has to be the old guard for sure

Delgado
>>168417944

lol this isn’t background lore it’s in the show. You’re downplaying the gap to make it seem comparable but it’s clearly not. Roman still secured it and had the CHOICE to reject it, there’s a difference. If roman wasn’t taken seriously about the matson deal, what does that say about Shiv who was purposely left out multiple times? The gap is HUGE, Logan just died, business confidence is down. Shareholders are not picking no experience Shiv over legacy Kendall Roy to build business confidence/share price

Delgado
>>168418811

I agree but I think it’s more so that she wanted to prove herself to Logan* not Waystar but for Logan his whole life is basically the company and that’s where I say she never truly wanted CEO, I mean all of them seek some sort of acknowledgment from Logan they are just masquerading it as wanting CEO

A. P.

Feel like y'all missed that Marcia was most likely running game when saying she spoke to Logan every day and night. Possible, but most likely cap. Also, gotta disagree with Sheera saying Roman is the least back and forth one. He's definitely second only to Kendall if not first. If he's 2nd it's only because he never took Logan's titty out of his mouth long enough to come in first place for that. And hooly shit, if Kendall's name being crossed out and "Greg?" being written on the paper means that Logan was considering Greg instead of Kendall, then that man was EVEN pettier than I originally knew him to be lol

Rissa2003MM

At this point everyone is just trying to get a piece of whatever logan has left behind or before mattson swoops in. Which I do not blame everyone because I would have done the same thing with no F's given. Logan's dead and most of the characters are screwed.

User10101

We still getting blue box today?

>>168396991

i love shows that put more love into the aftermath and not drop the ball because the explosion already went off

Nexa
>>168417944

1) it is background lore. Kendall going to business school is background lore. It happened before the events of the show so by definition it is background lore. How is that downplay? 2) while yes Roman “secured” a deal for them to go private, he himself admits that that he isn’t even sure they should take it. Because they seemed “flaky” and some other reasons that I can’t remember off the top of my head. The show never reveals whether it would have been a good deal or not. So congrats to him for securing an ambiguous deal. 3) Roman was never taken seriously by Matson. Matson constantly messed him around even though he accepted to have a talk with Logan. The only person Matson ever took seriously in conversation was Logan. 4) My final point is this. I never said they should pick Shiv. My point is that from what the show has shown from season 1 till now neither Roman or Kendall are actually that competent. The same can be said for Shiv. To me they are all a bunch of unserious people who should be nowhere near the CEO position. They should be more focused on going to therapy. It’s probably why the show is so entertaining. Note: I’ve realised I’ve typed a lot.

Aaron Posey
>>168414537

Yeah, I don’t know what Sheera was on with that one. The only reason Marcia and Logan even “rekindled” things was because it was mutually beneficial at the time. That’s it. Absolutely no one in this show has this mystical reverence for the idea of marriage. It’s viewed the same way it was in the olden days: transactional. It’s about securing family lineage, producing heirs, and managing property. Marcia has never shown herself to be opposed to Logan fucking around. She just didn’t tolerate being cut off of discussions and their dealings or being treated as anything less than an equal.

Aaron Posey
>>168410492

She actually seemed to like him. But yeah thinking you are securing your own future and it failing unexpectedly has to hurt.

Aaron Posey
>>168410023

Shiv isn’t a killer LOL. He’s flippant and never plays her hand. She’s daddy’s girl and that’s why she has never opposed him in any meaningful capacity.

Aaron Posey
>>168403914

He actually worked in the company. That’s the point. He worked under Frank for a couple years whereas Shiv has never held a real position in the company at any point. This isn’t about capacity or competency, it’s about what the shareholders think when their investment is being shepherded by a novice.

iMovie stars
>>168414537

your criticisms for shiv make no sense, ken is also a narcissist an want power lol. Most of the characters do

iMovie stars
>>168414537

Then, said she has no experience in the company except for when she was in the company. Not to mention, she has been growing up in the company her whole life regardless

Delgado
>>168403914

Exactly this. No reasonable would see no experience Shiv as a CEO over the other two

bark

I feel like Kendalls the best choice out of the siblings because he's the most like Logan - ignores his kids, backstabs his family, and has the most experience Roman just seems like a dick, like its funny watching it cause its a show but if I had to work with him irl I'm plotting to take him down immediately, plus Gerri seemed to be able to manipulate him pretty easily, Shiv is having a baby so she can't be CEO anytime soon plus she has the least experience out of the 3

Moon God
>>168414537

For Kendall it's just not just narcissism though, it's literally a letter from his dad saying that he wanted Kendall to take over if he died (and this was all negated because of an underline that looks like a cross off), it's a literal sense of him being owed this. He is narcissistic to a degree yes, like all of the Roys, however it should be obvious that Shiv takes it to another degree using examples like her treatment of Tom and her stance on the marriage. In my opinion Kendall wouldn't be nearly as narcissistic since he has had horrible experiences because of it (i.e. the kid that dies in the car crash and the resulting manipulation from Logan), there is a reason why he has been tame, wanting to be isolated/written off entirely until recently. She does have zero experience in either the company or formally, Kendall and Roman have at least formal educations, Kendall has genuine qualifications from his schooling as well as a management program he was put on. She may have experience in the politics/influence of business from her time in campaigning but next to nothing about business operations itself. Her simply 'growing up in the company' does nothing for both her actual understanding of Waystar's industry and the outward optics for the company.

Cinmnapple

Matthew Mcfadden's inner Mr. Darcy jumped out in that staircase scene iykyk

PetersThimble

Kendalls a POS. Hes exactly like Logan, it might be why he'll end up running the company. Roman and Shiv are def going to spilt from him but it was nice to see them work together for that short time. I’m aware everyone in show sucks - doesn’t change my thoughts

xProKnockz

Ah yes classic kendall self sabotage🥱

Gilthwixt
>>168423451

DarquanJr
>>168417357

@Delgado She did want the position. She was never asked if she wanted to join the company and did her own thing without sucking off her dad, unlike any of the other children. She was a fresh and clean face that certainly had her appeals at certain points. Roman is way more delusional. He wants the same timeline as Shiv, only he failed, then he fled, then he got a high position from his daddy and has been failing ever since. Kendall may have gone to buissness school and worked at the company but you would never think that watching the show. He is terrible at buisness and sucks at managing. He is incompetent, a junkie, not strong enough, not smart enough and he doesnt know how words work. Thinking Kendall deserves the job is incredibly stupid

Eric
>>168421089

It's like 70% underlined. Logan was right handed and your hand naturally moves away from your body as you stroke left to right with a pen or pencil. I'm not saying you need to be a body kinematics scholar, but people really should know the basics of how the human body works. Anyone arguing that it's crossed out has never crossed something out on a piece of paper before.

Delinda Arts

It’s so sad how Kendall shadow boxing a dead nigga😭

Moon God
>>168421089

Exactly. What you mention as well as the fact that Logan obviously wasn't doing well in the months leading to his death anyway, so it's highly plausible his hands just aren't steady enough to draw a straight underline.

Eric

Lupa's hair on point today.

Eric
>>168433053

Only the opposite of that happens in this episode, though.

PetersThimble

I also would like to say people saying that the creator stated the name is underline kinda ruins their experience to make your own conclusions. The best part of media is being able to make your own interpretations and I personally think the move reads better if you don’t know which was Logan swung

Seasick

marcia def capping

B23

Roman frustrates me to no end cos he is a good guy sometimes (i.e that Kerry scene, not wanting to attack his dad)… not really spoiler… but one episode in this season i HATED HIM

Skye Brooklyn
>>168417944

wtf are u talking about? are we watching the same show? shiv’s never been INVOLVED with the company?? yk besides the FOUR FUCKING SEASONS of her being at most of the deals and her BEING THE LITERAL KNE WHO SAVED THEM ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS wtf do u mean bro. y’all only bring that up bc kendall and logan says it over and over but that doesn’t make it true. she’s been given titles, helped with several deals, helped with board situations, saved them at the shareholder meeting but somehow she’s inexperienced, and “doesn’t work for the company” even though she’s been working for the company this whole time

Skye Brooklyn
>>168417357

wtf are u talking about? she wanted CEO this whole time but logan, kendall and roman ALWAYS fucked her over or took it from her before she could do anything. kendall always self proclaimed himself king and bc she’s the girl nobody took her seriously. literally in season 2 logan offered CEO and it’s why she quit with gil. soo there’s no delusion in go to training for 5 MINUTES and u come back with absolutely nothing but somehow roman “has the experience”. for her to “have the experience” to be asked all the time for her opinion on deals, her being pivotal to success of several deals, meetings, proceedings but somehow she too inexperienced for CEO?? even with alll that experience kendall and roman have they are still dumb asses who made decisions that further put them in worse positions when shiv counseled otherwise and they didn’t listen and it blew up in their faces. ken and roman fuck everything up all the time but yea let’s see where all that “experience” kendall and roman have gets them. lets see how much of a better job than shiv the do

Skye Brooklyn
>>168410023

ok bro what? this has to be sexist. there’s no way we’re watching the same show. a daddy’s girl? besides kendall shiv was the most defiant one out of all of them. she never got a chance to be a killer every time she would get power logan, kendall or roman would be like SIKE and rip out from under her before she knew what was what. she always had power dangled in front of her and then it was snatched. nobody ever SERIOUSLY thought of her bc she’s a woman. the only thing i could maybe see is that the shareholders wouldn’t like a woman CEO but even still with everyone’s backing she could’ve had a chance but they would never do that

GrandNubian
>>168417357

@skye brooklyn re: Kendall missing all the time but having children ... more on that later :)

Z

To Sheera’s point about Gerri, Gerri had no say in whether to show the documents or not. It spoke more to Franks character since he’s the Executor of Logans estate which means he pretty much had the final say in carrying out Logans wishes.

Delgado
>>168410023

You’re clearly biased Skye Brooke. They would never back Shiv cause it would be a DISADVANTAGE to put someone forward who has no experience on paper and hasn’t been in the company long enough to have an annual person review. “She never got a chance to be a killer” lol, killers don’t need to be given chances by others - that’s difference between Kendall’s defiances and Shiv Shiv is a daddy’s girl. Kendall actually spent time in Shanghai for the company, Roman actually spent time under frank, worked with gerri, management training But Shiv just came into the company right next to dad at the top as an intern and when she was asked to work with the old guard that episode she walked out cause she felt it wasn’t worth her time When Logan himself had like a 3 year timeline for her, she thought she was too long for her despite Roman and Kendall having waited longer Why wouldn’t the shareholders like a woman CEO? Gerri was literally a temp CEO.

Delgado
>>168417357

“She was never asked to join the company “ and “she did want the position” don’t make sense imo. How bad did she want it if she was waiting on someone to ask her to join. She only wants it to be spiteful against her brothers when the seemingly get closer to being Logan’s successor But they all suck at managing, Logan included - that’s why the business keeps going through turmoil. The company isn’t going choose to the next ceo based on the children’s feelings and childhood they have to choose the ceo that would increase business confidence Kendal is the best out of the 3 of them, I’m not saying Kendall is going to the best ceo ever

Mali Howard
>>168448206

I mean with what you are talking about we seen that from the earlier episode. And in the end of the day it was the right call for the company if I think I know what you’re talking about

Mali Howard

I mean it’s still Honestly the show they are writing. So if the creator has a point about whether it was underlined or crossed out it’s entirely decision. And to argue your point I would say it works better to know it’s underlined cause it would fit with Kendall knowing in his mind it was him. And that he should be that killer his father knew he could be. And that his father wanted him to be.

All the children are like Logan and take some aspects of him. It is their dad. And I would say they are all tied for being horrible honestly

I think honestly the only two who could run the company are Kendall and Roman. Kendall has the business sense and numbers part down and Roman has the people aspect down with being able to see through bullshit that the other ceos of company’s were spitting. Together they could be pretty impressive

If the creator tells you what everything is: what is the point of analyzing the motives by yourself? I personally believe it is a part of the media experience and by telling your audience what to think - you're getting in the way of that. That's why the concept of "death of the author" exists and is used widely across media (If you haven't read the original essay, its a good explanation for why creators aren't the final word on their own works. Lindsay Ellis also has a video essay on it).

You assume everyone likes that, If the showrunners explicitly >SPOIL< something (which is the language the showrunner used. It wasn't supposed to be up for interpretation, most of y'all including lupa, sheera, and roshi just got gaslit over what the senior management and the historically jealous siblings say) I imagine they wanted the underline from logan to be the message at the end of all the toxicity and manipulation. Also the creators literally only said that one thing about the show, not 'everything' like you say. This isn't a psychology situation where showrunners put the viewers through an experiment on how they react, it is a literal matter of true vs false, what the showrunners depicted vs what they didn't, what evidence was shown in the tv show vs what wasn't. Not all 'media experiences' are the same. Death of he author is a THEORY of a STYLE of writing/authoring based on how viewers react and respond to the presented content. It's an observation of the viewer and how authors/writers >could< respond to that in their work, not a method of filmmaking consciously used in Succession.

Did i say "death of the author" was a method of film-making? No i didnt, but thanks for putting words in my mouth. We can all tell you took a film class in college. Your entire paragraph boils down to: Sometimes its okay to listen to the showrunners and mine is that: Sometimes its not. Thats it. I never said half of what you even wrote

Those 'four fucking seasons' is at most a year of time in the show. Kendall has been there AT LEAST 10 years and Roman AT LEAST 3 years. Kendal has probably been in more negotiations than Roman AND Shiv combined. Her title as president of domestic affairs came without any real responsibility because it was really just her stepping stone for entering the company optics-wise. Her assistance with the witness during the congress situation is really the only notable contribution. Her assistance against sandi and stewy during season 3 when logan was out of his mind wasn't really assistance as she did the minimum required for the Roys to stay in power (cave in and allow more votes to Sandi and Stewy, displeasing pretty much everyone). Her only absolute advantage over her siblings is that she actually went to Harvard and graduated (albeit for something not totally related, political science), unlike Kendall who flunked out due to his addictions, and Roman who went to college and still didn't graduate. She has 'saved' Waystar a total of one time, and even that is iffy because we don't know 100% how it'd have turned out if the witness was to testify.

The old guard were on fire in this episode. "Let me frame the question for you, as a friend" "You were speculating in a comic mode" and Karl referring to Kendall as that little princess lmao

@mali.. not about the company :’) but yeah he’s always been a dick ep 1 with the kid and baseball but still i feel like he’s the one who was most abused and yeah all of the kids are complex tragic characters

CAM

Kendall made the right decision at the end and as long as he tell them what he did after it should be fine because Shiv and roman would have never agreed to that

Josh Mr.Fire

honestly prefer non patreon players because they STILL dont have a quality selector and the quality always defaults to shit either entirely or halfway through the video. I don't have this issue with ANY other video player accross any other platforms either, just this buggy, fuck ass site

Who Knows

Kendall be pmo cause if he just trusted his siblings they can actually help him prosper, but bros too manic to stay still and be chill. Whatever im still team ken thoughhh.
