Arell

GojosHoho

Lets goooo Twitter is a minefield of spoilers 💀💀

Wild

God damn yall finally dropped it I was on withdrawal

Zero

Let’s go

DeMarcus

Fuck yeah it was Peak!

-

Beru: Stand ready for my arrival worm

Kisuke01

Anime Beru is hacking. Also I like the Manwha fight more he just dogged him but the Anime fight wanted to show some action

Burn-Out 23

This and severance bout to take the rest of my night lol

Blur

Dinner time

jordansamuel

Let’s fucking go. Jin Woo on demon time!

Nicchee

Ik Michael geeking hard rn 😭

Anon7524

32 comments in 2 mins, man Roshi fell off😂💀

Grelk

Ngl this has gotten boring, overpowered characters aren’t for me i guess

Ghost

To be fair jinwoo does have armor on he just has the armor hidden from actually being worn

Michael Blake
>>168802393

Right there with you dawg. I feel no stakes episode to episode, and none of these characters have personality. It’s just cool v cool.

Megapluto
>>168802393

It’s not for everybody , ets how I use to feel now I jus take anime’s for what they are as long as they done well

bleach

Solo Leveling and it's cliffhangers man

Cheesecake

ITS ALL OVER THE SCREEN ALL OVER THE FLOOR ALL OVER THE KEYBOARD ALL OVER THE WALLS ALL OVER THE CEILING IT WONT STOP CHAT IM DROWNING IN IT

FoxesKarma

Shit is hot dog taco hamburger but enjoyable hot dog taco hamburger at least.

Jayden Greene

Bro could not handle the smoke 😭🙏🏾. Guess yo u can say he bugged out 😏

Delgado

We need real anime back like Tokyo revengers

GameGod

Jin Woo isn't the king of humans, he was protecting it, the camera man

Ghost

The context they choose to leave out really take the depth out of the anime and makes it just a fighting aura farming anime. Its not bad by any means just wish people got to trulyyyyy FEEL solo leveling. Like no way u cut out the mom convincing him to go to the island even before they started getting fucked up. Still amazing

Cheesecake
>>168802393

I am into the overpowered character troupe so this fits the bill for me but like megapluto said its not for everyone

Tenroku

Nahhh Go Gunhee was geeking seeing bro on live 😂

Tenroku
>>168802393

Only thing is at least Jinwoo owns it. But tbh this fight was just pretty lights moving around, I didn’t care for it much besides like 1 or 2 scenes

Justin nichols
>>168802894

seriously this anime is honestly not the best adaptation feels bad to those who still enjoy would be way more invested if they just didnt rush and make silly changed because " le aura farm epic moment"

Straw Hat Vinsmoke

Beru take the power of ppl he eats that’s why he can heal and use ice

Vincent S Deluca

Jinwoo has a full set of top tier armor on he uses Transmog to make it invisible tho. Also he got that upgraded ability a while ago, he just remembered in that moment about the new skill he already had

Vincent S Deluca

VERY sad they fumbled the Rulers Hand on Beru as he was trying to run, one of my fav panels in the entire Manwah and they butchered it. Still a peak adaptation tho

DevilMayCarter

Watching this show make me even more sad God of High School failed the way it did. Interesting characters can always bump up an ordinary premise. But the rule of cool applies to all media, just hope the show can keep its world interesting enough to where people want to stay associated with it. I think they can.

Goofyaah

I love and hate Sung Jin Woo and The System power, Beru was bouta cave his face in and win but then Jin Woo gets the skill upgrade at the perfect moment 😭. I’m fully aware that the system will do anything/everything to keep him alive just like multiple times in the past but this time got me a bit tight bc cmon not even an injury on him just a little cardio, I still like him, the show and bc he’s a cool MC and the show is hype but just wish he struggled a bit more instead of it coming down to 1 or 2 fatal moments. How do u feel?

Devin B
>>168802393

I liked this better than other OP MC shows because Jin Woo didn't start out OP but yeah some moments do feel kind of dull because of how OP he is.

Sauce

I need severance 😭🙏🏻

Devin B

I like how we've been casually spoiling the Ant King's future name for a while now because that's how we always referred to him

Lola
>>168803670

I will never forgive whoever failed God of High School adaptation 😭

Kirby745i

As an anime-only, my hypothesis is that he's going to Arise the healer who died and use him to heal Cha properly (or at least enough to use potions for the rest).

Jalen Holmes

I love the ost is the background bruh because it's the same guy that creates the aot soundtracks 😭😭

Mr T Allery

he system didn’t help him they adapted it a lil weird compared to the manwha

Chris

Absolutely cinema

Basedra

Jinwoo has armor on you just can’t see it because it’s from the system and invisible.

Goofyaah

Beru lost some aura by making like a bug and flying then crawling away but there’s a frame of Jin Woo and u see the man’s ass cheeks, the animators made sure it was a fair aura reduction

wavyesper

Remember when people thought that A-1 wasn't gonna animate this series well when it was first announced? Yeah been awhile, my god.

Vincent S Deluca
>>168802393

This is still the prologue of the actual story/threats. Jinwoo is an OP MC but hes only vastly above everyone in the first part of the series, and even then he fights ppl like Baron and the Elf guy who take him to extreme dif in a 4v1 with all his shadows

Tha Hoeless one

So is this nigga Jinwoo ever gonna get damaged in a fight 🤣🤣

Killah_ Raze

letsoo gooooo im suprised with all the yapping they understood whats going on

Kingmakaii

The elixir of life didn’t work cuz it heals any and all disease last time I checked dying and death wasn’t a disease sadly 😭

TJ

Why would they end the episode like that 😂

TChang23

I don’t care what people say about this show being over hyped, it knows what it’s here for and does it better than any other show I’ve seen just non stop hype with unreal animation just unreal to watch

Anon7524

This is kinda where I stopped reading back in the day (LN not webtoon), so I pretty much don't know what's going to happen going forward, except for the majorish overarching things

FianMoon

Mutilation is the ultimate form of his skill Critical Strike, that's the one he used against Igris. You pretty much spend mana to ensure a critical hit against your enemy and Mutilation is the same skill but on steroids. What I got from that scene is that he used Critical Strike against Beru right before he got pushed down and almost killed (the part with the lights around him and then Beru suddenly getting hit by a ton of hits instantly) and that's probably what gave him enough Skill EXP for it to get upgraded, so if he hadn't used the skill right before that, he probably would have gotten clapped.

fili0938
>>168804684

This isn't even the best animation of the season. Garfiel vs Kurgan beats it and Re:Zero actually has a story.

Wsgyan

Jinwoo got 6 elixir not 3

Aniki Pft

Honestly Solo Leveling and shows like it is something you just turn your brain off too. Yeah I would like more prevalent characters, the feeling of stakes but this type of shit is my high. It's honestly a more blatant form of shounen that prioritizing specific things like overly powered MC and the fights, which is fine.

TChang23
>>168804684

Re:Zero is definitely my favorite anime this season it’s in my top 3 with your lie in April and Vinland, I was moreso just saying I think this show gets way more hate than it deserves because it does what it’s meant to do at a very high level

Wyvern Jay

Omg that was amazing

Giyuu

Keep joking about his clothes till you see the Dior logo 🤣

GojosHoho

That fight was crazy. After this they gonna have the most questions💀 and yes they need another level. S++

Jay Oliver
>>168804270

Bro I was thinking when I first heard the OST I was like “why does it sound like it was composed by AOT” 😭

0rbital_Nugget
>>168802894

This is why I feel a lot of anime would be better if they had longer episodes. SL will 40 minute episodes would go crazy

Just_some_guy 7
>>168804686

A LOT of aura farming is what’s next. Next season is when he should be his drippest version yet😂😂

4ft.b

I wonder if he turned around because the ant was still alive or because he’s going to arise the healer

Jazko

Can’t wait to see Fire Force Season 3. Y’all jaws will keep dropping as more peak shows come out

Earphone Jack

Jinwoo rapidly hitting/swinging on the Ant King was equivalent to someone rapidly hitting/swatting a bug with a shoe. 🤣 Anyways…BEST EPISODE OF THE SEASON! ABSOLUTE PEAK!

TChang23
>>168804990

Exactly, this series knows what it’s good at and delivers on the high points, nothing wrong with a simple series being fun to watch

TJ

Honestly he struggled way more with Baran. He probably beats Beru too. Surprised he didn’t use him.

Earphone Jack

I love how all the other S Rank Hunters are decked out in armor and Jinwoo just came in regular clothes. 😂

Guav

dont rlly like how they made mutilate look like more of an asspull than it originally was cause he used crit so much it got upgraded midbattle which ig is a kind of an asspull but so far aside from that they went above and fucking beyond, and then fucking roshi "fuck her get your shadow" LMAO

Princceee

i think the ant king was using the dead S-rank abilities, like the healer who the ant king ate the head, the ice boy who also died, and maybe the transformation might have been another s rank we didnt see

Delan340

Beru didn’t defend himself on that first hit. That was jinwoo using ruler’s hand

0rbital_Nugget

The ant king's ability is called Gluttony. Allows him to absorb the knowledge and abilities of whatever he eats. Iirc, he got his poison from eating a box jellyfish. Deadly stuff.

Just_some_guy 7

Ant King lucky Jin-woo came before the Monarch of Film, the camera man, could step in. Would have smoked him in a heart beat.

Raymond Terry

I absolutely love when they throw in the hand drawn/sketch drawings during fights. Such a great touch. My man Jinwoo had Beru questioning everything during that fight after the sparing was over.

Jdogzero Silverblade

fatal strike upgraded into mutilation. if you notice right before the ant pins jin you see like 10 blue strikes. each of those was fatal strike meaning it upgraded right after those 10 hits. system didn't give an upgrade he just upgraded what he already had right before he got pinned

Rheaird

The system didn't offer him an upgrade. Mutilation is the maxed out level of critical strike. If you're familiar with rpgs, skills often get different names as they level up

Walter Peavy III

Damn everyone was that willem dafoe meme today.

lakewood145 .

I realize y'all forget Jinwoo is wearing armor but the system makes it invisible.

Nae

Rushing saying Arise for Cha hunter is crazy 🤣🤣🤣

Abe The Great

thats sawano. the Attack on titan composer

SageZan

My guy showed up in a cardigan and sprayed some Raid

0rbital_Nugget
>>168802393

This story grows a lot after this arc. Not to say it'll get super deep or anything, and he'll always be OP, but we'll see different parts of the world, hunters from different countries, and the stakes will get raised, involving the world with some enemies that are at Jinwoo's level.

Skelerew

I probably missed it, but when was this ants name revealed?

Marko Genter
>>168802670

I hate that argument so much cuz like yes IT IS but also people eat that shit up cuz its good food

Kass
>>168806043

lol never, you getting spoiled bro. Rn he is nameless.

brandon harris

This episode was LITERAL PEAK!!! There's few things that I noticed in that fight: 1. Those were Baran's daggers (demon monarch from the castle) and they have a considerable boost when both used together. 2. I think the composer of this song when Beru was going into pure speed mode was Sawano that did the AOT soundtrack . 3. It was shown off screen and this wasn't shown in the manhwa but Beru stole the ice move from that japanese hunter that he devoured. They wanted to give a not so subtle answer to why he knew how to attack the Cha first because it was out for revenge. 4. That eye animation was a cool throw back to the fight between Deku and Overhaul in MHA when he delivered the final blows. 5. At the start where Jinwoo got his daggers out, he activated stealth and his speed abilities shown by the animation. 6. The detoxing was just part of his passive first ability like how he's not able to get drunk from alcohol. I'm sure theres plenty more i missed.

Kevin Man

PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

zkdglo

To clarify, at 11:50 that was Jin Woos power wrapping around him, not the bug defending himself, at 16:20 he has passive immunity, and at 19:20 they did it a little different in the source but it was basically his critical attack (fatal strike) being upgraded because he used it a lot.

Krype

What in the animation bro give these animators a raise 😭

-
>>168805421

Dont mind us solo leveling fans, we dont watch our anime.

Itanna

I’m almost certain that Beru gained the ice abilities and regeneration from those S ranks he killed

Zero

He looked at us 😭😭😭

JohnnySmoke

lowkey blessed to get to experience how it felt seeing this happen in real time twice, once when the manhwa was updating weekly and now with the anime.

Frederick

17:19 this dude casually turned into Stingmon. PEAK

Marko Genter
>>168802184

thats exactly why the anime is better. beru actually showing how strong he is even when hes not oneshoting is great that why the manwha is worse you cant just introduce a villian that destroys all S ranks and then have the main character beat him in 2 seconds

-
>>168802393

Dumbass clicks on a post of an anime he doesn't like just to complain lmao

Skelerew
>>168806043

Oh ok. I've just been seeing the name everywhere and people saying it, now roshi, so I thought it was in another episode

InspectorDec
>>168805430

He wears armor but it's invisible. They showed him equipping gear and it going invisible both seasons.

Loadedfrenchfry

So random, but Lupa that loc styling is TOUGH!! But I know that shit hurted 😂

BZD

System saved Jinwoo’s ass. He got carried. Rip my Ant King. You were robbed.

BZD
>>168804385

Yeah, his rainbow collection of random armor, he’d look like a joke if it weren’t invisible.

BZD
>>168803539

Not sure, because in some versions of the subtitle he says “Upgrade… Mutilation?” As if it were a question and he’s not expecting it.

AkuBeta

ABSOLUTE PEAK Fiction. Favorite episode of the series. Loved the reaction 🙏🔥

Sauce

I liked the ost

Denzelwya

The ant king transformation was peak

brandon harris
>>168806212

Theres one other one but I'm not quite sure which is which tbh because of the colors of the animation but right after Jinwoo gets punched, he either uses the Rulers Authority skill to hold him down or it might been Tusk using Anti gravity. I cant tell though because its the same color hue as when tusk using his ability. Im pretty sure its just Rulers Authority and the blue and red colors collide since Beru's aura is red and Jinwoos ability is blue

Giyuu

I swear I thought he got 6 elixirs of life when he beat the dungeon why does everyone keep saying 3 he should have 5 left

Kumi Chan

Jinwoo hit em with that Gum Gum Gatling

SirCapAlot

Ost hit hard this ep aswell as the animation

Rese

The ant king running was the highlight of the episode for me it's like monster hunter where the monster runs away when it sustains too much damage lol

Cheesecake
>>168807370

I went back and checked and it is indeed 6 but the majority of people I watch say he has 3 left and I am so confused about where they get that number from

NovaVortex

Them feet make me upset the same way the alarm clock from one punch man season 1 did 😤😂

ab

Apparently right before the credits display, you can hear a muffled sound if you turn the volume up. Won't go too much into it but it's pretty important

Rese
>>168807920

And i believe it also gained the abilities of the S-rank hunters it ate like the Ice from that one hunter he killed trying to defend himself with ice magic

Jaze

I don’t think the broadcast caught the other S ranks getting bodied, so it might look like a normal S rank fighting a strong enemy. That’s just what I’m assuming those who were watching might be thinking. But Lupa was right, Arise it and name it Bug lol

Nay🍒💫❄️

WAIT!! WAS HE LOOKING AT THE HEALER??!! FOR CHA!!!

Kass

Bro had a second phase this whole time? Dem other s ranks never stood a chance. "This isn't even my final form" ahh transformation.

Trequan Williams

quick correction jinwoo had 6 elixirs of life's he's used two now, so he has 4 left.

Cameron Griffin

Every saying the beat down he gave the ant king reminded them of JoJo. I immediately thought of Naruto vs Sasuke when they fought in the valley of the end the first time

Marcell1980

Sheera you’re on to something! He definitely looked at someone but I won’t spoil it lol…. Also after watching a whole season of Mark getting whooped left and right in invincible S3 😆 it’s so refreshing seeing a hero actually succeed and put BTA!! I love this series so much, Jinwoo is such a dope character 💯💯 he’s HIM

Shawnii
>>168806845

bru i got that style before and couldn't turn my head afterwards.. shits painful lmao

Uly A O

The magic/abilities that Beru casted I believe were due to him eating other hunters. He didn’t just know that magic off rip.

NeoSpotLite

FYI this fight was a one sided massacre in the manhwa. The animation had to be longer and make the fight close. There were no close calls, no last minute upgrades that saved Jinwoo. He was already way stronger.

Gabriel Souza

They just took this fight to a whole new level

Sam Kim

Jinwoo does wear armor but its actually invisible. The anime kinda just glazed over that detail

Goofyaah
>>168806043

He’s read the manhwa a long time ago and forgot a bunch of stuff but remembers the and for good reason bc this ant was/is him, too unforgettable

suzukiri

I much prefer how the anime is making these fights, because they make these fights feel much closer and overall i wish the original was like this as well

Loadedfrenchfry
>>168806845

I can tell by how f**king crispy it is 🤣 That shit is tight and and has no frizz or excess hair sticking, looks so clean like someone with ocd styled it

Raider

So glad I decided to read the Manhwa a few episodes into S2. This episode went hard.

DocGreen
>>168806913

In reality he could've just used his shadows to help him out. Unlike baran jinwoo has an easier time in this fight even though the boss was stronger

Alex M

Part of what makes this fight really cool to me is that Jinwoo senses anxiety on the ant king because the ant king ate so many hunters. Then, once the ant king realized he couldn’t win, he tried to run in fear, trying to preserve his life, much like a human would.

MK

Nice, i was waiting for this

Lash

Btw sung does have armor and other equipment it’s just invisible due to the system

NeoSpotLite
>>168809277

Nah they explained it towards the end of S1 when Jinwoo was getting the class upgrade quest.

Ren Lichtfoot
>>168809277

They showed it, it's just not something reinforced over and over for viewers. He actually has equipped armor on screen several times.

Michael Kaiser

If this is what they did for jeju island I already know season 3 gonna b a movie 🔥🔥

DocGreen
>>168805421

He struggled more with baran because jinwoo was weaker himself had worse blades and had to deal with his army as well. The ant king left his army out until he realized he couldn't win

Symphony

@22:21 🐜: "Man I don't get paid enough for this shit, I quit"

joshua rosario

i dont think the system gave it gave it. remember he had that move already, when u use a move alot it levels up, thats what happened/

Symphony

@22:40 "Man fuck her, go get yo Shadow!" See Roshi the type of man to leave yo ass fighting for your LIFE in a battle royal while he looting someone else's corpse. This shyt had me HOWLINGGGG 😭😭😭

Fred_D3

Jinwoo built a tolerance to poison in season 1 that’s why it had no affect on him

DocGreen

Wait until they adapt solo leveling Ragnarok. It's basically like Shippuden for SL. Still an action show but goes way more into the lore and explores other characters more

Gilthwixt
>>168804684

Is it "hate" if it's not 100% glazing? Don't get me wrong I enjoy the series but even back when the Manwha was coming out, the consensus was "Mediocre plot carried entirely by the godlike art" and the anime is much the same. The animation is 10/10 but saying the show is "better than anything you've ever seen" even within this year alone is absolutely overhyping it lol. I feel like it's this kind of praise that sets people's expectations way too high.

Jor-El Kuykendall

“I was born yesterday” -Ant King🤣🤣🤣

InspectorDec

I think the episode had a typo when they told us the camera man was A-rank. He may have been the fastest person there. lol

ivan reyes

I wonder if the next scene they are going based on the Light Novel or Mangwha, hopefully the Manghwa cause it will show more about the character not saying name since it will be a spoiler.

DANIEL PEREZ

maybe it wasn't shown but remember he does have armor just that with th system he can hide it but still get the effects, otherwise he would be looking goofy. like in games where you can have a serious scene but your character is all goofy with gaudy armor imagine trying to aura farm with a clown getup

David Emerson

Jinwoo was posing in this fight. "Like my Fit?"

nitro promaster

Even if he sent a shadow to goto and it got killed, it just came back to jin woo and he can resummon it anytime with mana

Alex M

Bruh I love jinwoo “I gotta end this as fast as possible” *proceeds to aura farm in at least 3 separate occasions where he is, in fact, not finishing the fight as fast as possible* LMFAOOO

Lik-Sama

“Oh he looked at us because he knew the episode was over. Bet.” 😂😂😂😂

Freeofgreed
>>168809277

It didn’t glaze over it all. The anime explicated shows this. People just forget lol.

Oliver
>>168810981

Well he did not build a tolerance it was just part of the very First skill he got

Freeofgreed
>>168806043

He said he stopped reading before this part. One of y’all fools spoiled him lmao

suzukiri
>>168810981

poison in general doesnt effect him for very long. Its why in s1 against cerberus he took a poison potion to get the buff it gave because he could ignore the debuff knowing itd get removed

Gilthwixt

The ant's internal monologue was even more extra in the manwha and novel. Everytime Jinwoo beat him at something, he was like "Okay but I know he can't beat me in x". You caught the look he gave the shadows at the end with the Willem Dafoe meme but he literally crashed out in his mind like "Bro ain't no way this TRASH HUMAN has a stronger army than MEEEEEEEE" 😂

alf ie

i feel like mutilation is for armored enemies, he first unlocked it against igris and his armour, and he leveled it chipping at the exoskeleton of the ant

Shabammo

Knowing what happens next in the webtoon, ending it right there is CRIMINAL lmfao. I have been waiting and waiting and WAITING for THAT moment every episode. Hype for next ep. Also THE ANIMATION FOR THIS WAS SOOOO FIRE HOLY SHIT.

Aaron williams

He’s probably going to arise that S rank healer that’s what I would do

Robertgill

There’s a frame where jinwoo’s whole asscrack is out I’m not joking look it up

TJ
>>168805421

Wait he didn’t get him?? I thought he did. He only got the dragon?? Wth.

Rebel_R300

Sung Jinwoo Employee Of The Year At Orkin 😁. The fight between Jinwoo vs Ant King with that Ost playing was cold business. 😎

Gabriel Souza

Did y'all feel like the soundtrack was from Attack on Titan? That's because the legendary Hiroyuki Sawano himself made this soundtrack bro, the same guy who created the AOT soundtracks.

Sham3ful
>>168812628

Beru was genuinely crashing out in the manwha, shit had me dying lmaoo

Charcoal
>>168811009

True. Spoiler alert but that was my one main complaint about SL was that I wished it put more into the world building and lore, specifically with the other Monarchs. Would love a one shot or side story about Ashborn and his full backstory

Kreed

Everyone talking about Jinwoo aura farming like this ant didn't just look at the camera mid-transformation to make sure we were watching his glow up

Themperor

The blue aura that formed around the bug when jin did his first hit, wasn't the bug defending. Jin unlocked a move that basically gave him the force. Whenever you see Jin's hand glows, and a aura forms around something he's using that ability

Fuji

arise hunter cha!

Sham3ful
>>168811142

Bro about to be the first S-Rank Hunter Photographer with these shots lol

RBGTalk

Crazy that despite how strong that ant was, it was still in its early stages. Jinwoo nipped it at the bud tbh because had it more time to cook, the ant king would have gotten so much stronger.

ThatOneGuy

Fun fact: the ant king wanted to torture the Korean hunters for killing the queen and honestly, they were lucky that was he’s plan because if he had ate them and gained they’re abilities it would’ve prob been a way different fight.

Sham3ful

My goat the Ant King might be up there with Conquest & Battle Beast as a generational fade runner with the way he was clapping everyone up till Sung Dripwoo pulled up

Oliver

Added some context to the fight, but no spoilers Edit: 11:48 Good point some people made. So a reminder that the Blue hand is his Ruler hand/Telekinesis skill which cost 0 mana. He got it from defeating Igris 16:30 The Health and Longevity skills is the FIRST skill after rumbled by the statues in ep 2. It gives him immunity to poisons 17:00 The awesome animation was him shrinking his size to become faster in speed sacrificing strength which the Ant King was already losing to Sung in STR, so might as well focus on speed 18:16 Pretty sure Jinwoo used his dash skill to keep up with Ant king sad they don't show the skills anymore 19:06 The skill you saw here was his critical hit skill which evolved to Mutilation. Love how they portray a critical hit skill like that. Always been curious how you would show such a skill 20:25 I laughed in the Manwha since the Ant said he would use the one skill Sung would not be able to counter. (His army), that bug thought he had a trump card against the one person where the more enemies, the more allies he gonna have XD XD SAVAGE 21:00 Really love how the ant king was born to be the strongest and Jinwoo was born the weakest 22:40 Roshi never disappoints LMAO Thank you for the amazing reaction post got kinda long, but the current episode of the years deserves it XD

ZeroChance
>>168816404

also good to point out for them, the fact that the aura around the ant king wasnt him defending himself. it was the telekinesis ability jinwoo got from his fight with igris (which hes used atleast once in every major fight so far) just used it to pull him down, same way he pulled him down again when ant king tried to fly away.

O
>>168813331

Mutilation is just the upgraded version of his critical strike. This ep he maxed out mutilation

O
>>168813331

In other words he’s hitting countless critical hits

NiTESkYKu_28

When the black ant tried to run away is like finding that one mosquito who keeps you awake at night 🤣

Stanley
>>168813410

No you was right the camera man is not the s ranke healer. 2 different people

Aaron williams
>>168813410

No I edited my comment originally I said that the healer was A rank but they correct my mistake it was a typo

Tenroku

I wish this show would give us time to see what his skills does and yes it might slow down the pacing in the middle of the crazy battles but it would still be nice for people to know lol

Oliver
>>168817750

I agree the action is awesome, but it also makes it a show where you only want action all other elements gets taken out

_monjiro

The phase 2 boss music switch was insane, Hiroyuki Sawano 🐐 and I believe Gemie was on vocals? Idk the track isnt out yet. Sidenote: the glow in Jin woo's eyes at the end was the same as when he is about to make a shadow... Do with this observation as you will.

Voresude

Another thing to remember since y'all kept mentioning his normal clothes. He is wearing crazy armor too. He just has the ability to hide it unlike everyone else. It was only briefly shown just before his fight with Igris.

Voresude
>>168818571

Pretty sure I just got a pretty solid idea of what's to come of that with this rewatch.

Errede

i read this on the manhwa years ago and thi still hit so hard...

Kameron Renae

As someone who read the manhwa that cliffhanger pmo lmao ….. so anime watchers what do you think Jinwoo will do next? 👀👀👀

lexboflex

Take a shot every time all the hunters ask how Jinwoo got there lmao

Fizzy

Side characters in this show are so ass bro 🤦🤦🤦fights are cool tho

Bubblepu

That boi Igris a fiend bro. Homie was flying into the fade lmao

Casual

They literally did a aura for aura off this shit is so gas😭

Delinda Arts

What i love about Jin Woo in this fight, when he saw the ant transform, he didn't comment on it, change his expression, nothing. Bro just summoned his shit bc he know that ant can go to hell too lmao

Casual

Bro literally pulled out the blades of chaos 🔥🔥😭😭

Speeby

This epsiode is if not best anime fight of the year and probably my favorite all time.

Joey Zero
>>168817750

He usually monologues what the system said. Upgrade...Mutilation, so at least we get some idea of what happened without having to slow down the fight to read it.

Daylen

Jinwoo has on armor, but I'm not sure why a lot of people are saying the show only "briefly shows him putting on armor" lol. Literally ever time he's been in a system created dungeon and the drops give a new piece of armor he puts it on while on screen and it turns invisible (last 2 episodes of season 1 & throughout the demon tower here in season 2) Also its been forever since they've shown the Passive skill he has so its pretty easy to forget. he got it after the double dungeon at the start of season 1. He's immune to all curses, poisons and diseases and his body can heal all injuries after rest

Casual

So whats the point of elixir of life if it cant heal everything like you make me go through 100 mf floors just for it to heal sometimes 😐😐😐😐

Nuke XD

the difference between Strongest S-ranks and Weaker S-ranks is bigger than S to E rank

uchuu kitsune

Honestly, I'm more disappointed in this one than what I was with one piece gear 5, the difference with gear 5 is that they animated that like super clean (in terms of movements and in an animation perspective rather than a viewer) but things were too messy, in here I feel like a kid was the director of this and the last episode, so unless there's movie-like animation in the last one, then this was a bad ending for season 2.

Tbdovan

Jinwoo is basically Saitama.

Sung Drip-Snoop

Classic bug move.. nigga got a whiff of the raid spray and tried running smh

Ayanda Mpofu

Beru going from humiliating the S ranks to fleeing in fear was so great, the power scaling is serious. Also pause at 16:05 u can see Jin Woo's BBL🤣 .

Jordan Postle

What does the feed having a 10 minute delay have to do with anything? Jin Woo is connected in real time with the shadows he put on everyone. Ya boy literally just let everyone get clapped while he waited just like that RDC sketch😂

Andrew
>>168822868

The only information Jinwoo can get from connecting shadows to people is when they die. He can't see through them or anything like that

James Noël

They made the ant appear stronger fore the show, in the manwha Jin Woo completely low diffs him.

CatchThisNut
>>168822868

He used Exchange after he could no longer sense the shadow that was assigned to Gotoh (he was the only one with a shadow that died).

Joshua Perry

Beru can heal and use ice and whatnot because he takes some of the powers from the creatures he eats and he ate the ice guy and healer guy

uchuu kitsune
>>168822107

I mean, I mentioned One Piece cause Gear 5 was one of the things I was expecting to have an awesome animation, the same as this fight considering that is the last one of the season, then it's a little lore before a really good arc, but using another anime, Kimetsu no Yaiba, if you compare the animation of any of the episodes with this one and the previous one, you can see that there are awkward pauses, no music in where you could put at least some tension, not to mention the static shots that even I could do, just draw something and make the cam go from left to right, etc, etc. Maybe I can see this because that's usually what I notice more than the story and dialogues, just like how the apothecary diaries has micro animations even when there's nothing happening, and considering how big Solo leveling is in terms of popularity, I just feel that the past two episodes have been lacking compared to the rest of the season.

Nico_Robin13

Beru is able to regenerate/heal is due to him eating Byung-Gyu and learning his skill set just like him using the ice attack from the Japanese hunter, for anyone who may be confused.

uchuu kitsune
>>168822107

And for Jordan Postle, I mean, if you give me around 6 months I could do it alone, mind you, this is an animation studio with "professionals" in all of the respective fields, and I'm an amateur that has as a hobby to do animations for myself and have not gone through a proper animation education and I dedicate maybe an hour a day to do animation so they should be able to do at least, the last fight, 10 times better than this. I didn't complain about the last episode when it came out cause I know that when the quality of an episode goes down (specially in the end of the season) is because a really good Episode will follow but it was not the case for this one other than maybe 5 minutes in where there was a good animation (the fight).

Krype

That ant heard a new Sawano song playing and knew what time it was 😭

SimSimSalabim

Please watch top boy y’all are gonna love it

man had the ant talking like he had development, sir u been here an episode and a half

So Jinwoo is already way beyond S rank so what kind of madness are they building towards next season, no other character is able to compete this is the Jinwoo show

CloudySky

It reminded me of Sukuna and Mahoraga fight where I almost forgot how to breath🔥🔥🔥 FIRE EPISODE!! yes Jinwoo is him. He is him indeed

WrathOfHeaven

Roshi talking about using the exchange and finding out about the cool down, whispering “fuuck” had me dying bc I said the same thing 😂

The other S rank hunters watching Jinwoo: ..... LISAN AL GAIB!

Im just here for the episodes where the animators have fun. Feel less than nothing for the story or characters. The animated equivalent to a kid making toys smash into each other for 20 minutes.

All I gotta say is…there’s a dead S rank healer on the ground, put 2 & 2 together 👨🏾‍🦯

About the S rank system, there is a rank higher than S it’s called National Level but idk how many people have that rank

Even as fan animations they do a super good job, of course it's not at Madhouse level, but it's better than some official anime, but that's cause Madhouse is Madhouse hahahahaha

My Theory is that he turns around an AARISE the dead healer An then jinwoo gets a s rank healer. Than the new shadow healer heals cha

Yaboybussy

Maybe he arises ant king and uses him to help cha cause he can fly

Vextipher
>>168822107

I get what you mean, it's a lot of blur and flash. It looks "fast paced" but to me it just seems underwhelming. There was some clean animation but I feel this could have looked so much better for how hyped this moment was.

Ngl, feel kinda bad for that ant. Buddy got pulled up on 3 seconds after he was born, most of his brothers and sisters get clapped, then they kill his mom. And just after he gets a LITTLE bit of justice; Jinwoo shows up, flaunts the fit, and just proceeded to thoroughly disrespect him. And for what? A handful of hunters Jinwoo didn't really even talk to like that? Jinwoo OD'd, and should apologize to him if/when he adds him to the army.

Astral
>>168834987

The anime skipped alot of dialogs but at this point the national lvl hunter was mentioned already. It's also why the Japanese wanted Goto to do the mission, if he was able to defeat the ant king then they would've claim him to be at the national lvl

Astral

The ant wasn't protecting himself, that blue thing was Jin woo holding him in place using rulers authority

I wish people would stop spreading that BS about him gaining memories via eating the queen, that they heard from their echo chamber and not any sort of credible source. That is not and has never been a thing. He attacked Cha first because he could tell that she was the strongest. That is all. P.S. Eating the queen was anime original. That was not in the source material.

XerBlade
>>168839667

I swear every single person feeling sorry for the literal monster that was created specifically to eat humans as part of an army that wiped out over half a million innocent civilians (real life population of Jeju Island, BTW) is a bigger psychopath than Cid Kagenou.

XerBlade
>>168836669

The fun thing is that, while that move would totally work, it isn't even the best move he could make. Although he doesn't have all of the information to know it would've been the best move he could've made. Hindsight and all. Remember, the ant king took said S-rank healer's ability. Jinwoo just assumed it was regeneration.

XerBlade
>>168834987

Those are still S-rank. National Level is less a rank and more a title. They were named as such due to their feats rather than their power levels, which just like other S-ranks can't be measured. S-rank to begin with is where the ranking system becomes literally meaningless. Source material Jinwoo remarks that how much stronger Cha is than Choi (the so-called "ultimate hunter" by the Korean media just because explosions are easy for the public to understand) is comparable to the difference between an A-rank and an E-rank. And the thing is, Chairman Go totally could've been one of those national level hunters if his physical health hadn't handicapped him so much. Dude is freaking HIM. Give THAT dude an Elixir of Life to cure his heart disease and stuff and let Korea's other S-ranks take a vacation.

Tim Klassert

beru didn't defend himself from jinwoo's attack. the armor that went around beru"s torso was jinwoo activating rulers hand. jinwoo was pulling beru to the ground to land a punch. Also fatal strike leveled up because he used it right before almost getting stabbed in the eye. Causing it to level into mutilation.

The show doesn't really give you time to read the boxes or explain but when he was resurrected/saved at the start of the show he got a blessing that grants him Longevity. For the shadow's that died, they all return to Jin Woo. He can recreate them as long as he has mana. He doesn't lose any shadows unless he dismisses them himself. Also let's not forget that Jin Woo turned his transmog settings on and turned the armor off. He's wearing S rank items from his dungeon dive against the demons. They SKIPPED a lot of the system boxes that explained a bunch to get from hype to hype.

WillGlacier

HYPEEEEEEEEEE AS FIGHT !

JG
>>168852887

They did have that lol. It wasnt skipped. Most reactors just forgot. It was also shown when he took the Snake's venom that gave a buff to defense while weakening him but the weakening part got completely detoxed by this ability (in the cerberus fight)

JG
>>168844203

He still is, and will in the future, struggle significantly more against enemies than Saitama ever does XD. Like even in this fight when the ant had his nails centimeters away from his eyes (and itd actually hurt if landed). Of course he still overwhelmingly won though :P

Thetrillest Khi

Don’t know if yall seen already but because the anime was produced by japan they changed a lot from the manhwa so id suggest do your own research on the difference from the anime and manhwa

Thetrillest Khi
>>168858798

Like this fight with the ant sung was clearly way stronger than him and how they basically nerfed hunter Cha(the girl) and how they made the Japanese hunters less of assholes

Josue Dominguez

Hey y'alls reactions are great and super funny, I hope everything's going great for y'all! I'm not sure if your the type that cares about the differences between the anime vs mahwa, but I've been recently just giving tidbits for reactors so they could have a bit more insight. For starters... 1. The camera mans feed was cut short in the anime because of some signal interference but in the manwha it was the broadcaster who shut it down, because they didn't want all of humanity to see their S-Rank hunters being absolutely slaughtered. They only bring back the broadcast after Jin Woo joins the party and put their hope in Jin Woo because that's all they got. To add on to this Jin Woo doesn't tell the camera man anything regarding the camera until very later on, so Jin Woo doesn't actually care that the world see him resurrect the ants. 2. Last episode, they kind of gave a inference that Goto died and confirmed it this episode. This is actually kinda important since Goto is the 2nd strongest hunter at this point (before Jin Woo) also it's important because it gives you an understanding on how powerful The Ant King is truly is. Something they don't touch base in this fight is that Jin Woo states that The Ant King is as strong as the Demon King that he fought in Demon Castle, but that Jin Woo has leveled up since then. 3. in the manwha Jin Woo actually has no struggle with the Ant King, the Ant king actually only gets that first hit and the poison hit and that's it. I personally like that Jin Woo had a small bit of struggle with the Ant King, because it gives a bit of struggle...even though it was little to non existent 4. I don't know why they did this, but if it wasn't already mentioned to you the Ant King gains abilities and/or memories of those he eats. Last episode he gained the memories of the Ant Queen and is immediate reason for him attacking Cha first as she's the one who got the finishing blow. He also gained speech from Byung-Gyu and something else. Lastly, he apparently gained ice powers? I'm a little confused on that one because he doesn't have them in the manwha, but last episode we see the ice mage head on the ground partially eaten, so he got them from him. 5. This one isn't all too important, but in the initial frame where Jin Woo is with his summons, its actually really fuking bad ass in the manwha, because its not just his strongest summons it also some of his grunt summons so its a lot more filled in the panel that it took up 2 panels. 6. Y'all are correct Japan is a piece of shit... well more like the Chairman is a piece of shit and he normally doesn't keep sending his last 3 S-Ranks back into the battlefield like he wanted this episode. 7. Shadow Exchange only works once every 3 hours, so since he used it to get there he can't use it again until 3 hours pass. I hope this gives you some insight on some stuff that was different between source material and animation. Personally I did not love the episode, but I didn't hate it. Though I do admit y’all made we like it even more 😂. Though all that just steams from my dislike of the production taking out details that are semi-important for the viewer to know or even the funny moments in the manwha which to me made it even more enjoyable. Though I understand they had a particular direction they wanted to aim for with the anime. Though this doesn't mean i don't admit this was a really great episode.

>>168863106

Yeah and that’s why I said I understand they have their own directions with the anime. Me stating this doesn’t mean I super opposed to the concept, it’s just not to my taste in some regards. Also when it comes to anime most people understand that they are near replicas of their manga/LN counterparts so they have the expectation of the same. theres only two things i can think of. either jin-woo arise's the bug and it can heal her or he uses arise on the dead level s ranked hunter, but man that would come with some really bad concequences.

ViralCorgi

Not Roshi immediately going with the "Kill and Keep" shadow route 💀 😭😂😂 If I've been paying attention correctly, it seems like Jinwoo essentially has the power of every type of hunter EXCEPT for a Healer. I'm assuming that's about to be his next Level Up. In the same way he Leveled up into a Necromancer he'll probably get a new title and get super healing/revival magic and save Cha that way. Because honestly, let's be real, that's the only thing keeping him from being the true Korean Jesus at this point lol

Obinna Uzodike

@Ares You're forgetting the entire point of the first season before he decided to get reevaluated. Jinwoo didn't want to reveal his skills. He was still classified as an E-Rank then. He didn't want to step in until absolutely necessary. The A-rank got beaten up, but he's alive lmao. That's why they have healers, he is completely fine.

Jinwoo really did waist the elixir of life, and it makes him look really stupid because the elixir's description clearly says that it cures diseases. I double checked the description it had in the anime and it says, "A mystical potion that cures all diseases using powerful magic." Him using the elixir on Cha is quite possibly the most bone-headed change that the anime has made to the source material. We just saw the description of the elixir 4 episodes ago, and canonically, he just made the elixirs less than 5 days ago, so the description should be fresh in his mind. Not to mention, with all the time he's been focused curing his mom, he would've had the elixir's description burned into his memory.

Oh, I've already read the manhwa. I rewatchsd the anime to make sure what I said was in line with what the anime has show, cuz I thought maybe the anime changed the description of the elixer.

Yeah, but Jinwoo would not have wasted the potion out of despiration to save someone he barely knows, even if she has a big ol crush on him. It kind of conflicts with his character in a very big way.

Dee

I have a bad feeling he might necro the healer

I mean, I agree with everything except "most people understand they are near replicas of their manga/LN counterparts". Thats just not true. ESPECIALLY if it goes from LN->Anime and not LN->Manga->Anime. If an anime is a straight adaptation from a light novel? They usually cut out MASSIVE amounts of content. For example, Overlord was more or less adapted straight from its light novel, and they cut out massive amounts of content as a result. But they have to. Light novels are usually INSANELY dense, so trying to adapt everything would need a 1000 episode anime lmao. In the case of Solo Leveling, its especially difficult since the web novel had SO much text. A web comic reader can pause and read one of the item descriptions because its just an image and they can stare at it as long as they want. But an anime has a runtime, and can only pause to show an item description for so long. If Solo Leveling was 100% faithful to the web comic (let alone the light novel which is 10x as dense), it would have to pause like 20 times an episode so that the viewer could read item/ability descriptions. Like 50% of each episode would just be spent on that. All of that aside, there were a lot of things that were intentionally changed from the web comic which I think were for the better. For instance, Jin Woo straight up murders one of the prisoners from that one dungeon a while back in the web comic, but he doesn't in the anime. I think this is for the better, as it paints him as a bit more of a good-guy. The choice to do signal interference instead of cutting the feed was also better for the drama I think. *Finale spoiler* I REALLY like how they handled the healer's revival in the most recent episode, as opposed to the web comic. I remember it being a lot more morally dubious in the web comic, whereas its handled really well in the anime.

Dann the animators really went full MHA movie mode in this episode. Fight was CRAZY!!

Gorrr

I thought I just come out an say this cause I just noticed an I’m so mad, Jin woo is stronger than the whole Japan S rank team, why I say this is because the ant ate them why do u think he had great recover powers for a ant, why he had ice powers, and another note is when Jin woo punched him he was wondering why his exoskeleton was so hard, it was because he ate the big strong S rank from last episode. I’m mad I’m just noticing this

I mean I saw the episode where he made the elixir 3 weeks ago and still remembered it was only for diseases. he must not have any points in intellect I guess.
