You know what's crazy, I was kind of weirded out by their dad/daughter relationship first time seeing this, and I'm just now realizing I was actually fooled by their immortality. He looks so young that it didn't occur to me that at this point he really is like a 40-50 year old man and finds a funny little teenage girl. The vampire age thing really does fool people, it got me! lol

I'm so confused. I've always heard of Interview with a vampire growing up but this is clearly newer. is this a new version of the original name?

You know there is this crazy thing called google where you could literally look up this answer but since you are so in need for an answer from Patreon specifically: Yeah this is a new version of it. First it was a book, then a movie, and now they made a show

Idk I get where Lestat was coming from but forcing her to watch the body burn was doing way too much

I like how this show explains vampire lore in such a subtle way and much better than any other vampire show. We basically got an explanation for why young vampires in TVD and Twilight always seemed like the thirstiest vampires. In the last episode, we got to see Lestat use compulsion techniques that Damon and Stefan would always use - but they had to look people in the eyes and directly talk to them. I'm loving the parallels. This is definitely a refreshing take on vampire lore.

I absolutely love this show so far and y'alls reactions can't wait for the next upload

@ Sheera: I think the reason Louis’ family is fed up up with him is because they’ve been inviting him to family events for years with no response and he only showed up at the wake to get the final word against the mother he had a decades long feud with

also he’s in a long term gay relationship with a white serial killer, which must make for some absolutely rancid vibes lmao

This shit is so peak my god, why can more books not be adapted this masterfully? One criticism I have though... all these people getting disappeared in town and there's no one in the town that's like "uh so Wilford, Mabel, Jebediah and Charlie all just disappeared, wtf?" Literally dozens, if not hundreds of people just going gone and their families aren't out looking for them or putting up posters, etc. It'd be a compelling plot point that hasn't been addressed, but maybe they'll do it in the next few episodes. Other than that, 10/10. Ngl tho, some of these mfers in the comments cheering on the mass murdering vampires are the same ones commenting under LOU Season 2 posts about morals and shit when it comes to Abby and Joel, absolute hypocrites.

Lmao now that you put it like that it totally makes sense, I was also jarred by the daughter father thing till you explained that.
