This kinda makes Lestat's more extravagant methods of feeding make more sense. Happy drunks, young lovers, people he's wined,dined, flattered, and aroused. People who likely we're living a very good life or we're having a very good time before he drained the life out of them.

So glad you all are loving the show. I read the books back in HS (80’s lol) the author Anne Rice was one of the first to romanticize vampires. Lestat was every teenage girls vampire crush back then, me included. The show made a lot of changes from the book but it works. Arguably it’s better than the source material, fun fact, Claudia in the books is turned at like 5 or 6 years old. So her killing spree and plotting to kill Lestat is ALOT creepier in the book. Loving the reactions!
