For those who don't know Anne Rice lost her daughter and writing IWTV and creating the character of Claudia was her way of dealing with her own grief. Even though the show makes major changes to the books, Rolin once said in an interview the one thing he knew he absolutely wouldn't change is Claudia's death because of the meaning it holds and out of respect for Anne. I'm not the biggest Claudia fan so I wasn't that emotional over her death but it was still very tragic, at the end of the day she was a victim of both Louis and Lestat, her realizing that she was nothing more than just a pawn in their toxic relationship was sad, I'm happy at least that with Madeleine she finally found someone that would put her first, but it also makes it all the more tragic that it was short lived. Also Delaney (Claudia's actress) said in an interview after this episode that Claudia looked at Lestat last as a plea for help, that in her last moments, she wanted her father to save her.

Hands down my favorite episode of the entire season. This episode only comes second to ep1 of season 1 in my view. It's a perfect episode in every way. Brilliantly written acted. The music. Just...everything.

The claudia quote "i was just a roof shingle that flew off of your house" gets me everytime man :(

Armand: *knocks entire coven out and freezes a restaurant full of people at the flip of the wrist* Also Armand: can't fight past Vampire Sam...

Madeline was just in a perpetual state of “I know you fuckin lying” during the whole trial😭😂

This episode really highlights the magic of this show... you can't trust any singular perspective! Louis has his own reality and Lestat does too...there are some basic truths obviously but it's coated with their own interpretations /experiences and it's not always on purpose!

Reacted to back to back peak Roshi blue screened the outro 💀

Fawk! I need the next episode and the season 3 teaser 😩

Carlos

I desperately need y'all to react to Black Sails. Especially seeing how much y'all loving this show. It's PEAK.

For me, Lestat saw this all coming and allowed it to happen. He’s that kind of abusive mother …

QueerlyBeloved386

Sam Reid in tears as he talks about breaking Louis - acting his a** off

No, he let them go because he was too weak, and because he realised he'd fucked them up and he'd just let them go and do what they wanted
