I feel like it wasn’t that outlandish that the baby was provided for once it was born, given how thorough the higher ups were in inspecting each and every player (hell they found out about Gi-Huns hidden piece in his tooth). They probably suspected that the mother was gonna give birth and prepared for all outcomes for entertainment purposes.
