The Couple Aura grows! Neither Amane nor the editor are buying Gojo’s denials. Again with the walk away scene just showing their legs and the ep 1 head tilt up, their growing synchronization of these little moves are just a delightfully subtle indication of just how close they are becoming. Seeing it in motion just has so much more impact than the manga panels. The Karaoke scene hits different in the manga since these two events were switched for the anime. Gojo’s conversation with Amane sets up the realization that Non-chan was the only person who has put him down.

Everyone needs to take notes from Amano. The second your girl reacts and shits on a hobby you love, no matter how strange, dump 'em on the spot. Dunno how people think its ok to react like that. For sure, it's a good litmus test, too. But it's also understandable to be anxious about bringing it up because, well, look at the potential response. It can be a safety concern for people too, if there is the potential for someone to react incredibly poorly and expose you to further harm (i.e. if they tell people at your workplace, family, etc.), so it might not be easy to tell someone you just met (with the exception of people at a space geared towards a common interest).

Agreed, it’s never easy to bring something up that you think might not be acceptable to some people but I think it’s better to do it early on than to have them find out later down the road and potentially respond negatively towards it. At that point neither one of you can get that time back and it would hurt more for either party because of the time that was put into the relationship. If you can see things going long term then definitely tell them asap but if it’s a casual thing then it’s not as important to bring up hobbies like this right away.

Another wholesome episode, Gojo is gradually acknowledging examples of people who are comfortable as themselves and confident in their passions - I want him to take a chance and profess how he truly feels to Marin. While a platonic relationship would be fine I genuinely believe he has a crush on her. Marin seems ready and enthusiastic to accept Gojo as a boyfriend, she just needs Gojo to comit and reassure her. I love this series so much!

My issue isn't him cross-dressing for fun; that's whatever. But I believe the sister is wrong for never addressing the issue with him, and instead he has to pretend to be someone who he is not in order to feel comfortable in his own body, like putting on makeup and dressing up like a girl, instead of giving him the reassurance that he is loved and perfect the way he is. They were just like you feel insecure here's some makeup and dresses to make you feel better about yourself. It just puts a band-aid on the actual problem, which is his self-esteem. Like in order to feel better about himself he had to dress up as the opposite sex which is kinda crazy imo. Do you understand what I'm getting at?

Basically the sister gave him an outlet for his insecurities that involved creating a persona instead of addressing the issue head on, in this situation it worked out for him because he found out he likes dressing like that and is confident about it but yeah in general it’s probably better to recognize your insecurities and either work on them or accept them while being yourself.

I get what you mean, but I'd have to disagree. Because tbf, based on what we were shown, there was never an issue *to* address as far as she was concerned. What she did was just something fun to do with her brother; A bit of family bonding if you will. Even though it worked out in the end as such, it didn't seem to intended as an outlet for his issues. If he had talked to his sister about his issues prior, then she, in response, decided that dressing as a girl was the single solution to said issues; Then I'd say "terrible sister". But that was not the case, so she's a W in my book as well as their mother.

That's fair. I made my assumption because I find it hard to believe the sister had no clue that Amano felt insecure about looking feminine, especially if he felt that way for a while. If we're going based on what was shown it probably was just a spur of the moment thing for her to do to him.

Even Roshi questioned why the sister just started doing that to him. Even then, I agree, I also find it hard to believe she just happened to be ignorant of what was going on with him. She lived with him and seemed caring, but regardless of why she did it, it doesn't change the fact that her doing that opened up the idea that it's okay to be someone else you are not instead of learning to love yourself first. L sister and Mom regardless of the intent behind it.

She looks to be several years older than him. Even if she knew that he was having trouble, I doubt she knew what the problems were. I base that solely on the fact that people are saying that he didn’t appear reliable. For a kid his age, who is dealing with people saying that about him, the last thing he would do is tell his sister and mother what’s going on, because not being able to handle his problems himself would be the most unreliable thing he could imagine at his age. He might not even have told his dad. His family probably just thought that it was all a way to unwind that he discovered, not that he was using it as a way to escape.
