I never understood how people hated on S1 saying the time in the prison was unnecessary/too long. Both seasons are 10/10. That's only become clearer on rewatch. And I love that Luthen getaway. Showing he ain't just a talker, he's a fighter.

An interesting detail you’ll notice is that luthen tells everyone a different lie. He told his ISB mole lonni that kreegyrs separatist rebels were 50 men strong, but tells Saw Gerrera that its only 30 men “…plus kreegyr”. He never gives any of his contacts the whole story.

I mean people wouldn't know the undertone that the show was telling us from the very beginning: the Empire was so damn lax that they didn't even realize that they got the very dude they were hunting down behind their literal bars, yet not even notice that detail....! Heck, if anyone was committed from watching Rogue One, they would've noticed that Cassian met up with one of the characters that stuck with him to the end, that was Melshi...! AND to also show that Cassian needed a push to encourage people to rebel against the ones that imprisoned them like he did for his former head guy Kino Loy...! Long yes, worth it: even more so!
