I’m sure others are talking about it, but I loved so much how they revealed at the end of the ep that all the stuff with the Maya Pei clowns was happening on Yavin IV. I saw plenty of fans complaining about those clowns being a part of the show for these first two eps, but between that and the reveal that they’re on Yavin, I think it was very important for the show to establish just how amateurish and undeveloped the rebellion is at this stage.

Minutes in and I already have to stop to say how much I appreciate Lupa's comment. I found the scenes with the Maya group really tedious, but that's the point. I love that we get to see the ugly, messy side of the rebellion because it's so real! I think I could talk politics with Lupa for hours and never be bored.

I loved Perrin’s speech. He was so one-note (shit husband, shit father) in season one, but this season we’re getting a fuller picture. They did say in season 1 he was “the Academy firebrand” when he was young. You see shades of that in his speech; what made him and Mon such a good match in their youth. In the speech you see that, in addition to being a hedonist, he really DOES care, and he has a fire still smoldering in there somewhere. I can’t help but think that coming to Coruscant all those years ago hurt him somehow. Like, slammed him in the face repeatedly with corruption and disillusionment, until he retreated into drink and sex and comfort rather than show the strength Mon had to power through. Like a lot of characters in this show, you kind of come to realize he’s a bit tragic, too. Just a different flavor of it than most in this show.

you missed it but the final shot of the planet revealed that it's Yavin where the rebel alliance will use in a new hop also everyone hated these rebels but it was important to show the early days of the rebelion before Mon brought them together and creat an army

I'm glad after I watched that part of those idiot "rebel" group, so glad it didn't become a "Lord of the Flies" situation, only Andor is smart enough to run the f*ck out of there from those crazies..! IRONICALLY however, if you guys didn't catch the ending iconic pyramid there, that look familiar??? Yeah, that's the beginnings of Yavin IV, which after watching that like 3-4 times, it clicked for me that these crazy people were the starting point of what became of the iconic group of Rebels that Luke would join in the Original Trilogy...! Also really? SP.I.C.E....? Given how crazy this was released so close in the same year real life is being mirrored through this show, coincidence? I THINK NOT!!!

As much as I love this show the scenes with Andor and the lost boys were absolute dodo i don't care what they were trying to cook with those scenes Tony Gilroy overcooked the dish unfortunately. Those were characters goofy and corny growling at each other and shit playing rock paper scissors the fuck was that?! Every single scene with those guys looked like a 90s to early 2000s yu-gi-oh tournament commercial or the Nintendo power ads or the fucking crossfire commercials. Any of those old commercials with the a bunch of teenagers wearing jean jackets and leather with fingerless gloves inside a sparks factory with all the chains hanging from the ceilings and shit. Next episode and beyond is absolute heat but it's a bad first start.

Yeah the bozos on Yavin are probably my least favourite part of the entire show. I get that they're trying to do commentary on how we let dumb infighting get in the way of real movement but having Andor sitting in the corner while they engage in clownery was grueling to watch for me. Thankfully they're playing games in the afterlife now and we can move on lol The Mon stuff is so tense tho, I do love them slowly forcing her and Tay to realize what the rebellion is going to cost them. Either you're in or you're out.

I heard that Dave Filoni( head creative writer of Clone Wars and Rebels and now on all other Star Wars properties) gave notes to Tony Gilroy (head writer on Andor) on season 2. Based on the tone of everything else, the Rebel storyline feels like a Clone Wars sidestory.
