Jamaal Ellison

Nigga Andor on Tuesday and early? The fuck? Praise Korean Jesus.

Arturo

Omg Roshi I love u

walter gibson

Bro got that Niya cake as the profile pic

Alex

1:42 if y’all like Star Trek and haven’t watched The Orville yet, you guys should definitely react to it!

TokenDaily7100

Bro has a different ass pic every other day, its kinda lame ngl😅

Hanno

I never imagined I'd be cheering for Dedra when she put Eedy in her place

walter gibson

Hey Roshi since you said you want to try new star trek maybe check out star trek discovery/ strange new worlds/ or lower decks?

vickylikesthis

The guy didn't turn them in. Brasso just said that to protect them.

Hanno

"How nice for you" is such a fire line. We see how naive and how far removed Mon is from the dirt that needs to be done to keep the Rebellion alive

vickylikesthis

I just figured he's been slowly getting better in flying the tie throughout the episodes.

vickylikesthis

One last comment: I love the parallel between Cassian looking back to box in the end of this episode and maarva looking back to Cassian at the end of 1x3.

Jason Marbach

Pour one out for Brasso, the ultimate King

Hanno

Cinta is actually a demon. Showing up like Agent 47 whenever they need someone dead

Hanno

The first thing Brasso does in the show is give Cassian an alibi and the last thing he does is give Kellen an alibi. RIP to the realest guy in Star Wars

vickylikesthis

The guy in the car expected to hear a woman screaming so only pay attention when he heard the lieutenant scream

Zazikel

bruh the family on the fields didn't sell them out - Brasso just played it out like that so that family wouldn't get harassed by empire - you can see him looking at the dude and the dude is slightly smiling as in thanking Brasso

SigmaMaleDigBick

Yea. Good guy Brasso made sure that the locals wouldn't be blamed for aiding illegals.

Zazikel

also by "being upside down" I think Andor meant the situation on the planet and overall situation, because how can you be upside down in space lmao also he ranted about not knowing how to fly because he almost trashed the ship in the beginning of the mission, and he shouldn't be the one to fly it that far anyway - he is saying that it's not his job so why is he risking his ass

SigmaMaleDigBick

Cassian probably figured out just enough about the TIE fighter controls to do the basics, and did it with intuition. Like if you only ever use Android, and then someone hands you an iphone, you know that certain things have to be possible to do and you'll figure it out shortly. That's how I saw it.

Garrett

Well tbf Andor was never entirely incompetent about the ship. He’s used the weapon systems, he’s flown off two planets, and the second time he did it was far less rocky of an exit than the first. In fact he did it with no problems.

AnnaSama

Cassian was figuratively "upside down", not literally. Upside down, as in caught in a situation. Kellan didn't sell out Brasso. Brasso pretended to be mad to protect Kellan's family in case they started asking questions about who secured the fake papers.

Rocinate

Roshi is back in!! lol I called it… only peak from here. Can’t wait for them to see a certain Bix scene, iykyk

Garrett

So he can fly it, he’s shown to have trial and errored his way to the basics of flight and fight, but as stated he wasn’t trained on the model of TIE, he was never entirely incompetent about and we don’t see him do anything more than what was shown in episodes 1 and 2.

Jason Marbach

Davo Skuldan really said “Happy wedding, kids, here’s an Easter Island Head Statue”

Rigo

Love the reaction but quick clarification, Brasso wasn’t ratted out by his homie! Brasso took initiative and made it look like he was snitched on so his friend and family can be sparred 👍🏻

dragonH

Maybe I'm trippin, but I didn't think Mon's daughter saying "i wish u were drunk" was her still being a brat. I thought it was her calling her on cap, because after all that crying and stuff last season with her being told she didn't have a choice, to now say she can call it off last minute and embarrass the family is too little too late and not really a choice anymore. In that sense, I can kinda relate to daughter, because after getting all that resolve and resigning to something I didn't want like that it would lowkey pmo to be put on the spot the day of, bcuz that would make ME look terrible and I'd then be the problem child of an important person no matter what

Jason Marbach

It’s such crazy, brilliant worldbuilding: the Chandrilan’s tink their gaudy jewelry on their crystal drink glasses in lieu of clapping. They never talk about it or explain it, it just colors the scene subtly in the background to help establish the lived-in nature of how bourgeois Chandrila is.

Pictomancer

I always thought they didn't sell Brasso out. If you look at the farmer was just as shocked. Brasso was probably pretending so the farmer would have an alibi of not knowing they were illegals. That's why Brasso gave him a knowing glance, and the farmer nodding.

Hybrid10Prime

I loved Star Trek Discovery 🙏🙏

Jason Marbach

30:50 Mon really said “nah time to clock out”

AnnaSama

Leida was the one who wanted to get married. Nobody was making her do anything. She found the elder and set everything up.

Krype

I don't get why some moms wanna get in the way of their kids relationship like that it's so gross

Jamaal Ellison

And honestly I don't think she ever really appreciates or fully understands the effort gone into keeping her has clean. if it was up to her she'd be in the senate trying to figure out a peaceful solution and filibustering up until the Emperor dissolved the senate uses the death star to blow Up her planet

Jamaal Ellison

He's used to playstation controls this Tie Fighter ran on xbox it wasn't what he trained for and Luthen's intelligence was wrong. So i figure Andor took the basic knowledge of flying skills her has and strung together enough competence to get to where he needs to go.

zoomTACO

It might come up in another comment - but there is a theory(?) reading(?) of the scene with Brasso and the other guy - where Brasso is getting arrested - that says Brasso was playing up the betrayal to keep the one guy safe. Also - I think Cassian was metaphorically upside down, not literally ;) And maybe he was talking about initially being very bad at flying it :D

Alex

Btw the farmers didn’t sell out Brasso, Bix, or Wil; Brasso was just pretending so that the farmer dude wouldn’t get in trouble.

Jason Marbach

Andor: *murders tie pilots in ep 1 by dropping a mountain on them with the ship, gradually gets control locked in better and better each time he pilots the ship* Roshi: “how’s this man suddenly fly so good?” 🥴🤣🫶🏻

I'm the Starman

That part confused me as well on my first watch

Jeremy Estrella 🇩🇴

You can’t express depression, sadness, and emotional meltdown in a club scene. Andor: Oh Yeah?

Calem

He wasn't literally upside down, it's a figure of speech. He's a talented pilot he figured the controls out before he contacted kleya

Jason Marbach

Yeah Mon might have some shortcomings as a mom, Leida might not be completely, 100% out of line, but that part was absolutely her being a brat. Seeking the way to hurt her mom as much as possible for DARING to suggest that she, Leida, didn’t have to follow through with the creepy ahh old head tradition. but Leida was mad bc it was never a scheme to HER, she legit wanted to do it. She's been committed to the "old ways" as a pretext for rebellion against her parents, so she took offense that (in her perspective) NOW Mon wants to try and "act like a mom" or whatever

Krype

A lot of the shots of the episode were so sick especially when Cassian came in with the ship

Noah Angkotta

I cannot wait for episode 8 reaction it’s about to be crazy from there on!

sol jam

aaand from here things will get heated every episode is better than the one before it!

Hatty Time

Also Brasso was lying in front of the Empire to protect the farmer couple. He was pretending the family sold him out just to save them and make sure the Empire didn't know the farmers were housing them.

jordansamuel

Seeing mon crash out on the dance floor and so elegantly I might add, was so well done and great physical acting on her part

Noah Jackson

Btw the guy on the wheat field wasn’t a traitor. Brasso was just saying that so the empire wouldn’t get both of them since the guy on the farm works for Luthen and they’re leaving B2 with him anyway

walter gibson

Nemik was killed by the weight of capital, stormtroopers killed by an avalanche of labor

walter gibson

B2Emo is not getting properly loved on for me

sol jam

Apparently the daughter Lieda is the same age as Leah so since they both are from the same circle of rich people they definitely know each other

Danger Tomato

Oh star trek strange new worlds is new yall should watch

Young30g

Where is dexter

Marki

Upside down... in space? I don't think it was literal LOL

Danger Tomato

Its star trek, there's great episodes and terrible episodes

I'Zanay Rogers

Mann where is the last episode of Takopi's original sin and episode 5 of the summer hikaru died already. 😑😑

Jamaal Ellison

HBK713 it's probably the closest we're ever gonna get to the feeling of Next-generation era Trek outside of Picard season 3 which was damn near perfection.

ccadalin

Been jamming to the Niamos wedding theme ever since it aired back in April

Seth Aasland

😮‍💨 And they say Shakespeare is dead

britt

theyre in europe till friday so they cant watch it till they get back

wrld

Roshi he's flown the interceptor in all three episodes, "upside down" was simply a figure of speech.

Sam

I need deedra in my life, I’d become so efficient

HBK713🏄🏾‍♂️

Tay got that Undertaker and Teddy Long treatment in the Limo, Buckle up Tedddy 🤣🤣

Rob Pait

Ok, did the farm dude actually sell them out, or did Brasso accuse him to put on a show in front of the storm troopers.

Danielle

We don’t know what Mon was like with her daughter before the show. It sounds like she wasn’t all that present in her life and would explain her behavior imo along with being a teenager

Argo2Unitard

I waited to watch all three together and I noticed Sheera literally said Bix was gonna bop the officer in the head with one of those wrenches if he tried to assault her.

Jacob Livingston

The guy didn’t sell them out. Brasso did that to protect them so they wouldn’t get killed for helping them

Dee

Yeah, basically him saying, "I'm fucking lost here, give me something- anything."

Limestone

The talk between Cass and Kleya was all code talk, upside down wasn’t literal, but it meant that he’s been in a sticky situation for 2 days, probably referring to how he’s been stuck on Yavin, no comms, and no drop off

Sam

Glad you guys liked this, it's such a good ep. It all gets even better from here

Sam

SNW is really good and LD is good too. Discovery was good for a season then got to whiney/emotional. My main Captain Janeway would have never put up with that crap.

Blue

there are tons of new star treks shows, yall just dont watch them lol

Blue

yea some things they not getting.

Blue

also if cassian didnt do what he did they all be dead now, it was a good thing he left and yes the old guy did not seel them out he didnt know what was going on. Cassian also knew how to the fly the ship when he left the plant otherwise he would has crash lol he was just saying that he was not train to fly that ship, somewhere along the plans they provided him the wrong flight training

Sam

A lot of reactors get this wrong. They normally don't see the looks Brasso and the guy exchange.

Jacob Livingston

Yeah it can be hard to pick on those things during trio reactions forsure

Gwyn

My daughter at her wedding: "I wish you were drunk." Me: "OK bet."

Grimm

HBK713 Not a huge star trek fan but I like the New movies and I do know some knowledge around the world but yes imo it is a good show. Especially if you're a casual fan and just looking for a modern Star Trek show to watch.

Ernie

10:45 My curiosity is killing me i wanna see these two fuck!!

Ernie

40:00 Whaat?? This is the controversy i heard on reddit when it aired?? People freaked out cause she said rape or that she proclaimed it? Starwars "fans" are the worst...

Nrock23

He knew how to fly the tie fighter at that point. He got off two planets with it. He was just pissed at the moment

walter gibson

I just thought about something, cinta was waiting for tay kolma and he was just keaving the party which means luthen probably called her way before that last conversation with mon.

walter gibson

I dont usually tolerate most trek slander but one thing i will say about the new trek is that theyve strayed a lil too far away from the military duty and professionalism that old trek had. I know that they keep saying starfleet isnt a military but neither is nasa and they’re all mission oriented and duty bound. They take the drama up to damn near reality show levels at times.

walter gibson

Oh man Brasso will never be a stone in the walls of ferrix now.

DrPlague9

Yea just ignore it people will always find something to complain about specially nowadays and it always somehow leads to political nonsense

Jamaal Ellison

A Person Was saying that Vader would never let this happen that the empire wouldn't let that happen and the Grifters who complained about star wars and it's terrible writing mean things clutch their collective pearls when star wars decided to tackle more adult themes.

ThirstyBird

fun fact, the version of the Niamos song played at the end of the ep is called 'Brasso' :)

Tejiri Ubiedi

Honestly sucks for Mon, two terrible things are happening because of situations you feel like you mismanaged, so now she just drinks and parties the pain away.

Danger Tomato

If youre not a huge star trek nerd then you'll like all this new trash snw is the only new star trek property i can watch.

Ernie

Yeah the fascist genocidal planets destroyer would never.

WTT_321

Yup, the family chaos from both sides goes to show you in that's the only thing that's the same... Mon Mothma's family is not-so caring due to her being absent from their lives and Cyril's family-being her mother-is just too damn controlling/naggy/ridiculous.... 🤦‍♂️ Also Cassian (not trained to fly the ship) was probably not trained to fly that specific tie fighter.... I wouldn't be surprised if something went south down there.... I love how the wedding was graceful at first, and then ends off w/ a freaking mindless techno/DJ tracks on the dance floor lol

Mike

🤚not to be nerdy as fuck but there is new Star Trek. strange New Worlds is solid

Lurkingposter

He learned how to pilot it for the most part in the first episode.

Jaelyn Mcgee

That's such a cool detail. I loved the constant juxtaposition between the mega rich of Mon and her family, and Bix and Brasso just struggling to lay low and make ends meet, even though both environments have their own dangers.

Jason Marbach

That Niamos track absolutely fcks, too

Jason Marbach

I promise it involves a strap on

Delinda Arts

I always thought that Cass said “he’s been upside down for 2 days” meaning 1. He picked up a ship he didn’t train for 2. His contact getting clapped by the dummy rebels and 3. Him not being able to communicate with Kleia properly through out the whole mission. But I see now he literally meant he was upside down in the ship😂😭.

Jeim

by upside down he meant lost im pretty sure

Drewb

I think it is a bit more than teen stuff. The traditions they have of early marriage/arranged along with the seeming extreme devotion the daughter has is much more. Not a cult but very much sticking to "traditionally ways" or "tradwife".

Bob

If you want more Star Trek, check out Lower Decks. It's animated and hilarious.

aboveonemore

i hope they see your comment

Reuben Filimaua

Pretty much 😂 They took on the assignment and won.

Reuben Filimaua

Or in terms of vehicles, its like knowing how to drive automatic cars, only to be given a manual out of nowhere?

Tabbs

Gachiakuta?

rayman

there is no “upside down” in space 💀 it was a figure of speech, he meant he was lost and didn’t know wtf he was supposed to be doing or going

zay

no anime uploads this week they're in the UK

BREAD li

About the part that Brasso calling the farmer betrayed them, I think he is trying to protect the family that took them in, because the officer obviously laid down the gaurd.

HBK713🏄🏾‍♂️

To be honest I maybe seen 2 episodes of Star Track and if I'm not mistaken I think Whoopi Goldberg was an episode and the icon from The Reading Rainbow was on another episode lol. I was too young to remember what was going on ya know lol, I wouldn't know where to start 🤷🏿‍♂️

HBK713🏄🏾‍♂️

Should I start from the beginning and work my way down the rabbit hole or spinoff? 🤷🏿‍♂️

walter gibson

Man for like a two or three year stretch we had like 4 shows on at the same damn time star trek fans been eating if were being honest. Too bad paramount decided to start shutting everything down recently it was nice while it lasted.

walter gibson

Crazy detail to think about, “ he expected to hear a woman screaming”

Clinton the Bingethinker

20:42 “you didn’t hear that conversation” Exactly, Roshi, he was dissociating thoroughly—you saw how he was lying on that bed lol

ShaquanVirse

Don't respond Zay, they've made multiple announcements

Clinton the Bingethinker

40:03 first time *that* word was used in Star Wars, I believe. The storyline in Andor depicts people being ruled over by an oppressive regime. Of course awfulness like that happens within those circumstances. Very unfortunate and fucked up but also, kudos to the writers, actors, stunt crew for depicting it accurately, bringing it to light.

Danger Tomato

Man start with star trek the next generation fyi the first 2 seasons are so stupid but i liked the crew enough to push through

Adrian Locke

Damn even in the Empire in-laws are weird lmaooo

Kryptik _

When cassian said “I can’t fly the ship” I think he just meant like he couldn’t fly it well, otherwise he wouldn’t have been able to fly it to the planet with the rebels. Also, here’s a metaphor to help roshi understand how cassian “locked in” imagine you’ve only ever driven an automatic car now you gotta drive stick for the first time. You’re definitely gonna fuck up but after a couple tries, you get a relative understanding of the new controls. You won’t drive the car well but you’ll still be able to drive.

Adrian Locke

Tay Kolma or “Tay, you about to get put in a coma”

Gary

Can I have a metaphor too, but with videogames? :)

Devin Eleven

It’s like being a controller player your whole life, then suddenly having to play with mouse and keyboard. At first, you’re all over the place, not used to a keyboard, awkward aim, movement feels weird. You’re definitely not playing well, but give it a few rounds and your brain starts mapping it out. Similar to Andor being a Pilot, We being gamers will have an easier time than nongamers nonpilot 😂

Gary

Ah I see now, i know exactly how that feels

Zacost

Some of those long shots were crazy beautiful

Samuela Shannon

Some people are just here and searching specific things, chill

Zacost

So well directed one of the best episode of the show

Jonathan Blaze

I'm glad they dropped the 'rape' bomb, no need to pussy foot around it. And I'm glad Bix killed both those losers.

Usagi

Andor trying harder to figure the ship out once he heard his friends her in trouble was to emphasize that he would lock in for his friends more than for Luthen. As you're about to see in the rest of the season.

xLithion

I think he knew how to fly the ship more than he was letting on, he literally fought 2 tie fighters in a canyon and won 5 minutes after getting in, after hours of fly time i'm sure hes good enough but was lying to the lady. Also the farmer never betrayed them. The guy just was saying all that to distance himself from the farmer so the farmer was not punished for helping them.
