um no lmao it got canceled because of the paramount merger, original sin had already gotten approved for a season 2 and then after the deal paramount canceled it, do some research on why it actually happened before we just let it become common practice and every good show gets canceled. hbo did the same thing, with shows like warrior, close enough etc etc. its litteraly what southpark is making fun of in ep 1 of the new season.

This episode more than any has made me feel accurate in my comparison of Batista being like Lundy (a retired agent who leaves voice recordings of his findings/hunt with links posted on his hotel room wall and most don’t believe him and think he’s crazy except Deb and Dexter). While Dexter is like Trinity this season (a father, who is also a killer just trying to live his life the way he usually does with cracks in that life starting to form or have already formed). Also if it sticks to that idea then the episode Lundy got kicked out of Miami Metro because LaGuerta found out he was no longer an officer was the same episode he was killed. Also with their callbacks to moments in original sin and the original show, it makes me wonder if Prater is trying to be a twisted version of Harry that CAN handle it and accepts him for who he is. A huge plot point from original sin and season 2 of the original show is that Harry can’t handle what Dexter does and even ends up ending his own life from the guilt of it, which was brought back up the last episode. So perhaps Prater realizes that Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher and as a sign of good faith he gives Dexter the location where Al lives?

That’s a factor of it as well because Dexter found out where Trinity would strike next and what he looked like because of Lundy‘s final recording and his files on him. So perhaps Quinn is confused from the call from NYPD about Batista and the Butcher and goes to New York discovering the recordings Batista made after he dies??

Plot twist season 2 Dexter is actually going to get hired by Prater after it comes out he is the Bay Harbor Butcher. So Prater gets his trophies and Dexter gets more serial killers to take out. I'm mainly joking but this would be wild if it were true.

I think it's amazing how Doakes, Laguertta, & Batista have all made the same stupid mistake of going at it alone when it comes to Dexter. Not filling anyone in on what they're doing, as well as being very secretive and sus Af when it comes to their methods of trying to catch him in the act. You wanna know what else they got in common? The fact that Dexter never killed any of them. I'm calling now Batista worried about the wrong Morgan......

Yo that's actually not as far fetched as you might think. Prater said he never felt so connected to someone like Dexter. What if instead of what Roshi said about Dexter joining the police in season 2 he actually gets in with Prater. The catch is Prater gets to sit in on some of Dexter's kills, and Prater supplies Dexter with fresh serial killers. Or Prater basically holds him hostage because he knows his identity now and Harrison. So Dexter has no choice but to work with him and the next season is basically Dexter trying to get from under Praters thumb.🙏🏿 I'm read for whatever

This season had to be expensive as hell. Filming in New York, all the cameos. I think Prater and Charly are going to bite it before season ends just cause I don't think they want to keep paying Uma and Peter Dinklage. They swerved me. I thought they were going to handle Angel through Charly and Prater. They'd find out he was investigating Dex and take him out, but he'd let it slip Dex was the Butcher before he died and that's how they'd find out his secret.
