Euphoria Cutie

I mean it’s pretty obvious too. Since they wanted to play detective and how she’s always wanted to be a detective. Like there was massive hints on top of the lighter, hair, looks, etc. But yeah spoilers are bad.

Bloodcrusnik

I don't really feel that was a spoiler but an aspect of not picking up on obvious context clues.

BiscuitS7

Now the thing is to know who tf punched her and if Mejiro never fall in love with Nanakusa because she's not a vampire, did this give her some like strength or power ? Or maybe she is just super powerful

not spoilers i think the reason for the confusion from last episode. is that firstly in the current timeline nazuna and niko have only heard the detectives name was anko uegisu, not her real name. i think in episode 4 of this season when they were describing the detectives attack niko ask what the detectives name was and they said anko. it is very important to mention that the two people who would recognize her on sight, nazuna and niko(teacher vampire) have never seen detective since the show started including season 1

I do love this show. But its wild how much it leans into characters conveniently forgetting their own past. Like this was only 10 years ago. Something this big nankusa should 100% remember. lol.

I just hope that Sheera and Roshi don’t think just bc they didn’t catch on to the hints from last week that everyone who did and commented about it is a manga reader/spoiler I’m a first time viewer/not manga reader and came to the conclusion of her being the detective last week like other commenters did and to lump genuine people explaining their thoughts (bc the two of them seemed confused) in the comments in with manga readers isn’t fair I say this bc to me it sounded like that’s what’s happening but if they’re purely referring to obvious spoiler commenters then 100% agree, it just wasn’t conveyed well enough if they’re referring to everyone who commented or not bc it just so happened that commenters theory was correct and in line with the manga

Honestly this is like someone spoiling who Naruto's dad is before it was revealed. It's messed up in general to spoil something but if there have been numerous hints pointing to something and you don't see it, people are going to be astounded that you didn't see the connection before the reveal.

cuuuhris

Fuuuck, cant wait for next ep

I agree with Sheera and think the vampire that attacked nazuna is the one that turned detective father and is also the one trying to turn kou’s friend or is Kabura but I’m leaning more towards the other vampire When detective and nazuna go to the restaurant the camera zooms out until we can see both of them sitting down, looking at the window you see a women walking by with the same haircut, colour and clothing as her (I went back to her episode just make sure) The attacker can be seen wearing a trench coat or dress that’s similar to hers (the attacker is a bit blacked out in this episode but you can see the similarities in the clothes she she wore when she spoke with kou and to the ones the lady who walked past the restaurant and attacker are), obviously people can change clothes even she wore different clothes when she met kou’s friend for the first time. It might be a stretch but I can at least say it’s founded in reason and not totally random

Kurxai

LMFAO he prolly got his blood sucked and thought it was a hickey how he aint know 😭 did he not see the blood

Greg Harrison

This season has been a step above the previous one. Less vibes more serious story.

Rye

Now this 🎃 arc gunna be crazy!!

ShaquanVirse

That reveal was not obvious until this episode - Fuck yall spoiling shit cause I thought the detective was her daughter maybe

Ethan Galarza

for the anime watchers, the anime skipped a whole ass interaction that was supposed to happen before this, it was between Kou and Lira, y’all should read that part, it’s not important anymore but it’s hilarious. Pisses me off that they didn’t add it tho.

Ara Araragi

Rila, and yeah. They even highlighted her in the classroom last episode, but I guess she's just getting cut from the story now for time?

Ethan Galarza

I mean considering the curveball they hit y’all with Nazuna’s mom and that whole situation I’m surprised more people didn’t think this.

Oh Alone

I really like the camera angle of this anime

Easly_Bash

xD spolin' ahhh comments

Non-spoiler comment on spoilers from a manga reader: Call of the Night leans really heavily into the mystery genre. There have been and will be lots of twists and reveals all throughout this anime. Half the fun is coming up with theories and letting them sit until the anime reveals more. If we, as a community, don't nip this in the bud now, this will happen again. If you want to theory-craft, take that to Discord. Patreon comments ain't a good forum for that -- especially for this series.

Fuji

she also wears her usual outfit in the flashbacks, but yeah spoiling shit in comments is lame let them figure it out themselves

Hi How are ya

To be fair for 99% of the flashbacks she was wearing a school uniform and she didn’t throw on the jacket.

The Zany Spirit

For the people who need to hear it: Most content creators don't just say "No direct spoilers", they also say no speculations either. That also means not confirming nor denying speculations content creators may have. For Roshi specifically, they have Discord channels for people to literally discuss these things, speculate, spoil, guestimate or anything else your heart desires OUTSIDE of their eyes, yet people still go out of their way to say it on Patreon and Youtube comments, the only places content creators BEG people to never say anything eye-opening on. If you want to correct them on something, sure, but only if it's something that was (on episodes they've watched) directly stated in the show and not only hinted at, in that case it shouldn't be said. Whether or not people have a more intuitive mind does not mean they should slide the puzzle piece into the empty slot for them, even if there's literally only one piece of the puzzle left, let them discover and place it on their own. If it has to be deduced and isn't spoon fed by the show itself already, then it doesn't need to be said within a content creator's field of vision. Spoon fed in this context does not mean "Heavily and Extremely hinted at", it means directly stated. At the very least, give a 'theory crafting' warning the same way you'd give a Spoiler warning.
