ngl To be Hero X is carrying this anime season so badly it's not even a joke i literally get hyped each time a new episode is out.

It would be epic if season 2 starts where the first few episodes left off (with new Nice). This anime is dedicated to amazing writing and superb animation. It's surprising to see both of those qualities at such a high level in an anime. And somehow they did it with a good amount of action in every episode. That's not easy to do. Even the greats of anime have "slow" episodes where it's mostly dialogue, but it seems like this anime doesn't plan on ever slowing down.

I am assuming X's ability has to do with art styles or going from 2d to 3d. He went from 2D to 3D when he crumpled up dragon boy like paper, but left dragon boy in 2D. Also when he was aura farming and did the slow drop after riding the bridge cables, he hit us with a bunch of rapid frames before he hit the ground(like he was stopping his momentum by frame swapping). This fucker is Naobito(maki's drunk uncle from S2 and the dagan fight) from JJK on CRACK(my guess).

I feel like X can determine in which dimension the world will exist in for him. so when he snapped his finger just as Dragon Boy was charging towards him, he took himself to a higher dimension (3D) while keeping every person around him in 2D and since time in 2D & 3D does not work in the same way, everyone was seen as frozen in time (2D) from X's perspective whereas nobody (2D) could comprehend the actions that X took in a higher dimension than theirs ( just like our brain cannot comprehend what 4D would be). since he is in 3D he can just tear,toss these 2D pictures around easily ( what he did to Dragon boy ).

Dragon Boy has more to his character we haven't seen. As Rock said humans are easily manipulated, (feeding scraps to a pack of starving pirahnas) People jump to conclusions without the full picture. Currently Dragon Boy is to blame for the death of the daughter, which isn't true. The real daughter was still alive, her name is now Moon. Unfortunately we already know her fate and with that, Smile may become the vessel to draw out X using the heroes as pawns to achieve this. Dragon Boy will be casted aside and hunt down MG going through any hero to get it his trust will depend on us as the audience because the people in the show won't believe in him after he goes blasting through buildings to find Rock. At the end of the day many other characters may share this fate. Esoul might hesitate once more and lose himself to the shadow of fear still possessing him as he is now a combination of the two E-Souls. Ghostblade may succumb to the fear that infected him as it didn't at firat because he was incapable of feeling fear at the time. Later when his past gets brought to the light he may need our support to fight Zero

My initial guess is that X's real form is the one with the black hair, since in his hero form he said he hates working overtime, which makes me think that's the mentality of someone working in a corporation, waiting for his shift to end and leave the desk. But at the same time, given how powerful he is, it could be he has some alien ties or w/e may be and decided to take a corporation employee facade since in that enviroment "everyone looks the same" and he can blend in well. Dragonboy might be some sort of an experiment given he has similar runes on his body like big johnny. Zero had similar runes but not to that extent on his costume/body. I hope the gang does an episode of watching all heroes pvs at the end of this. And yes, after dragonboy blasted smile, what were falling on the ground were the remains of the lower body of smile. What x and nice saw were the upper half of smile's body. They also showcased when dragonboy approached nice, he stepped on smile's bloody remains.

Okay heres my theroy about X. And other people, remember the PV's on youtube are 50% cannon if that. They are all CONCEPTS for the characters. Also none of this can be spoilers there is no outside source materials I think X got his powers initially from some sort of outside force (most likely alien tech) that does not rely on Trust or Fear. He used that to infiltrate the tournament and flex flex on everyone therefore gaining ALSO the trust value of X. His powers seem to not care about Trust or Fear as they just do whatever he wants whenever he wants. Maybe its some alternate reality bullshit. But thats what I think. My show theories I think Rock at some point is gonna go full goofy bad guy and just make Dragon Boy a Martyr and become X's Nemesis. The other stories are all gonna boil down to some corporate sabotage war between the chairmen with Esoul killing moon and all that BS. Nothing to crazy but will all be good. X is easily the most intriguing part and explains why he hasn't been in shit. Let the other characters show. Next season I am guessing Nice/The Commoner, ESoul and Lucky Cyan will be our core cast outside of X since they each got like 4 episodes and the rest will be important secondary cast cuz they had shorter arcs.

In the subs, X calls Smile "old bro smile", so it may actually be some distant relative. Maybe Smile is from the country (superman parallel) and X is a city boy and they're just close cousins, they definitely bantered like family lol or maybe X after whooping smile 3 years in a row could sense he was a genuine guy and let him in his life as a sort of humanity to deal with the stress of being a god. And how X became a god is still unknown, he came from nowhere with his trust value unknown, so he has to be connected to Aliens in some way. Maybe he originally found the ship and got something done to him accidentally while there, that allows him to manipulate reality.

Roshi you are a little wrong about all of them being the same age. Remember, Ghostblade is a 40-50 year old man with a daughter that is a grown woman. X is close friends with Smile, another character who is in that age range. X likely could also be in that range as well

Maybe it is actually a two dimensional world and X is someone who can freely manipulate and move himself and others through the third dimension. A two dimensional being would not be able to perceive something that is three dimensional. So when X turned the series 3D and kept Dragon Boy 2D, it basically was like Dragon Boy lacking the third dimension and thus not being able to move, I guess.

I feel like X's powers are just this complicated thing of manipulating dimensions, a 3D dimension and a 2D dimension. Snapping his fingers causes the dimensions to swap in our POV and in the middle of the swap a lot of crazy things can happen that he can navigate around and manipulate to agree. When it comes to what he does to people, I think what he does is he takes their 2D varient and drags it back into the 3D space. The 2D and 3D variant cannot exist in the same space which causes them to basically be overlayed on eachother and while they're overlayed, he can stamp them on objects which is what he did to Dragon Boy by overlaying his 2D and 3D self rendering them inactive, stamped him on some paper, crumple it up , then undo it which seems to not be lethal and it all happens so fast that nobody realizes what's happening. This is just a theory tho.
