Bruh, do NOT look away from andor, this nigga be blasting fools hastily 💀

Unknown

If yall wanna see what her speech was for the rebellion right after this episode, its on Star Wars Rebels. But keep in mind it’s a kid’s show with corny lines 😃

Krype

Welcome to the rebellion

Garrett

Damn they didn't notice that was Melshi from the prison

Jacob Livingston

“Oh sheera” my exact thoughts lol…. Didn’t they already inform her andor is In rogue one and dies in rogue one…

Kemi Stanton

One of my favourite details about this episode is Mon's driver coming to meet them - We've known the entire show the driver is an isb plant, that he's been spying on Mon and is not trust worthy. During her speech though, his actor is doing really interesting facial acting - to me, it reads like her speech actually got to him. Like he was considering helping Mon escape and flipping to the rebellion, but they had no reason to believe he would flip and it was too little, too late.

Godrick

The dude with the gun was homeboy from prison. Hes the guy who broke out with Andor

Unknown

The other reason Mothma incredibly disliked having Luthen’s worker so close to her was that he was also technically the failsafe plan to kill Mothma if there was chance she does get captured. “The one I’m scared of right now the most is you, Luthen”

Rob Pait

So, the dude with the blaster that Vel was asking about was Melchi. He was the bald guy Andor was in prison with, and told thim they needed to get word out about what happened, and dies with him on Scariff in Rogue One.

Krype

Force bowel movement 😭

Jamie Edwards

Sheera and Lupa - "Predicticons!!!, Be Wrong!!!" Stay with the horrible predictions left and right 😆 😆

PAM

Here's the funniest thing about this show: compared to the rest of Star Wars, it's a grounded political thriller with themes of the constant grind and banality of fascism, featuring uncaring bureaucrats enacting cruelty because that’s their job. Then you remember that all these nuanced, complex characters, with their talks of bureaucracy, still work for or/are fighting against Darth Sidious, the decrepit, infamously hammy, "UNLIMITED POWAH" wielding space wizard. Makes me think that not having the Emperor make an appearance is a missed opportunity.

Luciaron

I agree with Caspian could have just blasted the guy without calling out lol

JP Austria

Love the detail that the plant in Bail’s people was one of Loni’s agents, it’s how Luther knew about there being a problem. He probably came right from meeting Loni when he told Mon, cause he wasn’t in disguise like he normally is with her. And Loni probably even picked that agent cause he knew she’d blow her cover as fast as she did.

The blaster scene has one of the greatest small details in the show (Didn´t notice until EcksClips did a video). It was Syril´s and when Andor stoles from him at Season 1 and then went to Aldhani's heist, where he mets Vel and Skeen. This last one asks Andor "which weapon was this?" And Andor answers that he didn´t get the name. Then when he escapes from prison, he gaves the weapon to Melshi. And ironically it ends in Yavin by Vel asking "Whose weapon is this?" and Melshi answers "that will be me" like a contrast.

i really hope they rewatch rogue one after this

47:45 re: Bix leaving Andor to make him stay for the rebellion; Andor still has the choice to leave the rebellion, Bix just wants to make sure that she is not the reason that he does. Bix is just hoping that he would stay by removing herself from the equation, she doesn’t know that it would definitely make Andor stay.

I love how K2 is like the dog Cassian gets after the rough break-up

billmunny

I love the open-ended response from the driver Kloris. I think Sheera is right. It seems he was starting to get swayed by her speech, rethinking his loyalty to the empire. We will never know since he was killed before he had a chance to say anything, but its also the nature of the rebellion and andor himself; cant take any chances. Every time I think an episode cant possibly be better, the directing and acting somehow elevates. One of a kind show, the Star Wars franchise needs to take notes from this series.

Jamaal Ellison

I think if Mon Mothma didn't have plot armor. Luthan would've killed her. The empire is a crazy ponzi scheme the shit just rolls Downhill. Any job where if you fuck up You could get fired, but when they say you'll get fired. You don't know if it means you'll lose your job or be shot to death in a terrible job.

billmunny

Roshi also right about the republic paralleling the empire. Both sides are using propaganda to rally people to join their cause. Reminds me of Luthen's monologue last season. "Im condemned to use the tools of my enemy to defeat them"

Jamaal Ellison

Not Andor with the "I had a date" ahh scene at the end.

CuteAdorableDog

the speech was in rebels it was made to gather the remaining independent rebel cells and bring them to yavin

ccadalin

Kleya Marki turn up tomorrow

Grimm

You guys should watch clone wars. You don't have to watch all of it also, you can watch important arcs.

bark

Luthen's codephrase of "I have friends everywhere" really emphasizes the reach and network he has setup, When he says it to Mon it probably sounded like a threat to her,

Hatty Time

So the gun shown was the security officer's back from S1 E1 that Andor used to kill the officers and start this journey. He later gave his gun to the other escaped prisoner from the prison back in S1 E10. It kind of shows the gun's own journey shifting in the hands of corrupt officers and finally into place as a tool for the rebellion.

jordansamuel

Just some random trivia. A lot of the shots near and around the senate are filmed in valencia (spain). I was there on a holiday not too long after the show ended. It’s called “the city of arts and sciences” and it’s every bit as beautiful as the show made it out to be

sol jam

hold off to rewatching rogue one until after the show ends it ends just few hours before its start, this is definitely one of the best shows ever made

Oliver

37:20 That guy was in same "group" at the Prison Cassian was in. His a real one

Jamaal Ellison

I know full well this is a longshot request because of how busy everyone is but I think a Rogue one re-watch with the context of Andor fresh in their minds would be great for the channel.

AmityBloaf

"ITS MY PEOPLE TODAY AND YOURS TOMORROW" while staring At Bail Organa who's entire planet gets destroyed in a new hope is Cinema!

DJ

So fun fact. The dialogue at 39:20 where Erskin and Kleya tell Andor he's not bringing Mon to Yavin, is in there to keep continuity in Rebels. The crew from Rebels were the ones that "rescued" Mon and brought he to Yavin in the cartoon. Dave Filoni (the writer and creator of Rebels and head of Star Wars currently) insisted that the continuity of Rebels be maintained. Tony Gilroy (showrunner of Andor) wasn't a fan of the idea but listened. Hence why we get the line "They want to rewrite the story"

maud’dib

Been so excited to see yall react to this episode, one of my favorite episodes in the whole series. Thanks so much for what yall do, much love to you <3

Sam

This episode mirrors reality a little too close

Masquerade

You guys may have missed it, but the bald guy who was like “that’s my blaster” when vel asked who’s blaster it was, was Melshi! Melshi was from the prison with Cassian, he escaped with him He’s also in rogue one

Adrian Locke

Andor: “I’m done after this” Kleya: “man shut yo stupid ass up bruh”

Adrian Neal

“Foreskin” Roshi you gotta relax man 😭😭😭

WTT_321

Couple of points from this episode: Firstly, I was laughing my ass off when Roshi accidentally said "foreskin" instead of Erksin rofl!! 🤣 Another goofy ass moment like that one time where he mistook a woman's breasts for a man (saw it as a short somewhere one YT, but enjoyed it anyways lol)! Secondly, thank you Lupa for acknowledging that the majority of the movies--except for the last 3--are the best/continuity lol 😂 Thirdly, let's just say there's a reason Bix left in a way........ [TOO BAD our boy Andor is long gone after the events in Rogue One......] Also idk if you guys remember the characters that appeared in Ahsoka (aka "Season 5" of Rebels), some of them were the ones that helped transport Senator Mon to one of the planets in Season 3 of Rebels to make that speech happen.... the one time continuity actually helps where we're at in the timeline since we can now imagine what happened between now and then....!

Sam

Such a great episode. Dialogue and tension was perfect, again.

James Small

Yo, the smirk on Cassian's face when he tricks the driver fucking killed me! Diego Luna is hilarious lmao

HIM

"I'm condemned to use the tools of my enemy to defeat them" - Luthen to Roshi's end point 👈

HIM

As soon as we cut away from Mon Mothma, HERO X snapped his fingers and she became CGI for an episode This show Low-key makes rewatching Rebels even better now too!

hokeypokey

Roshi and Sheera really criticising what Bix did with the knowledge of how important Andor is to whole story of the rebellion xD Like fuck yeah choose for him if the other option is the empire wins what do you mean

Samuela NTETE

Yung's agent. Yung is Luthen's informant. The guy he meets in the elevator

Sekraan

It's "Jung", spelt like the famous psychologist. I was so confused seeing your post at first 😂

Gary

fuck the rebellion im choosing my BOO-THANG we can live in oppression together

RageKage

The gun Vel saw was from the prison, the guy was the one who escaped with Cassian

Jonathan Blaze

All this time 'Foreskin' was deep inside Mon's inner circle.
