Awwww, so great to see little Marin and Marin’s dad, who got cut from S1. If only Marin had mentioned a name on the train, Nowa would have been all over that! The stakes have been set. TBH I don’t think Gojo’s ready yet. You can’t have a healthy relationship if you don’t feel equal with a prospective partner. Not that things would go as badly as Marin fears, but I fear he would feel an uncomfortable tension trying to maintain what they have. I am looking forward to what Fukuda-sensei comes up with for her next manga.

We know Gojo has self-esteem issues that he's constantly butting up against because of his hobby, ain't no way my dude is making the first move. It's not that he's dense, it's just that Marin has always been super nice to him and likes to tease him so her signals are basically indistinguishable from her normal behavior. From the couple of times we get his inner monologue you can see he feels GUILTY when he ever thinks of her in a romantic light, like he's breaking her trust.
