Pepper Ann got a busted ability

Files

Comments

Jamaal Ellison

Imma take this opportunity to request for all mankind on Apple TV

Tearonex

Get yourself a girl who’s willing come through a window at 4am to check up on you 🙂‍↕️

OnthatBanyan

Pepper ann is fucking nuts😭

kingBD

Call me crazy but the power system here reminds me somewhat of hxh. Mainly cause the powers are all unique to the individual.

Dyastro123

Then you should watch more animes then, cause I've seen power systems like that in other shows while growing up. I would argue that fairy tail counts too

VibeWolf

Gob and Remlin are OP but they are eccentrics so you can't just get whatever spell casted unless they are inspired to do so.

Jay

Man, the three of y’all NEED to cosplay Corvus, Semiu, and Jabber. Shit would be so fire.

Goofyaah

So in theory could this mean that a person can wield multiple vital instruments at the same time if they have enough aptitude/potential and high quality instruments (outside of Rudo’s powers)? For example, if there’s other Watchmen series stuff (aside from the gloves and the jacket we’ve seen) and the Raider boss gets them and meets the conditions he’d have access to the powers right? Or he’s trying to collect them for that desert alter he mentioned like they’re keys or offerings of sorts, the potential in this story is great

Coatl45

There’s no way Jabber would be able to restrain himself with just pricking someone to kill them. If he’s involved, it’ll be very obvious.

Goofyaah

Somethings boutta go down bc the raider boss mentioned the city of art last episode so maybe they’ll find a way to enter, something similar to how Jabber bypassed the talisman effect in the Rudo fight

Chimpman

You probably still have to care about the object in some regard, I would assume.

Chimpman

MHA is the same, too.

kingBD

🤣 damn get told to watch more anime because i only named one? Guess next time ill have my list of a thousand on standby

kingBD

I get why people dont like to comment on stuff 😂 everyone is always looking for an argument

Moonbane8

Imagine going out like a Looney toon character because someone decided to throw away a piano.

Didier

I saw some people speculate that she heard him moaning in the middle of the night and wanted to catch him busting a nut lmao

Kendrique

Just to clarify about Rudo's gloves. As far as the anime has told us, the gloves did not come from Rudo's biological father that was accused of being a murderer and thrown off the sphere. He got the gloves from his adoptive father, the one who was killed by the mystery man. Which is part of why Rudo loves Regto and his gloves so much. I only say "as far as the anime" cause i dont wanna get clapped up if the manga has a twist and Regto got the gloves from his actual dad or something, I havent read Gachiakuta before lol. But it was 100% given to him by Regto.

afl_zimel

Having Nola Bounce in the anime is so fire

Goofyaah

That’s a good point especially considering that Remlin and Gob were close and she was personally chosen, the way Follo spoke about it makes it seem like you don’t necessarily have to though so idk

Didier

Historically, Jojo was the first shônen manga to introduce conceptual powers systems though. And yes, sometimes people in the comments section will roast you over the simplest things unfortunately. But here the answers they gave you look pretty tame imo, minus the "you should watch more animes" ad personam. But I don't think it came from a bad place.

kingBD

The “then you should watch more anime” definitely set me off😂.

Joni

btw it's not yaiba's va lol

Justin-Michael Greene

I think there's more to vital instruments than just anybody with giver powers can use them. I think the person kinda has to represent or have a feel for the instrument, like they gotta align with so the art brush thing, who gotta be an artist type like Gob, which Remlin is.

Lea Garrido

Roshi you are absolutely on to something with the Pepper Ann mention cus Remlin's hair and shoes did remind me of someone I'd seen before lol. I gotta say, even though we didn't see very much of Gob, this episode really had me sad that he was gone- you can tell he was a huge part of the team and meant a whole lot to the city. When we first saw him jamming out and spray painting the wall in the one episode I was like ok I gotta see this dude's artifact in action, well now we got Remlin and I can't wait to see what spell she casts on Rudo! Also, I need a Gachiakuta artbook YESTERDAY do you hear me?!

Didier

Something I learned is that the best way to avoid getting into stupid arguments here is to solely post "positive" and soulless praising comments, like "damn this episode was fire" or "W anime we're cooking this season". It may feel sad to have to resort to such hypocrisy, but unfortunately this is the only safeguard you can afford. I learned the hard way that any form of criticism, even the most mild and civil ones, can incite others to aggression because people don't seem able to understand nuance anymore. And if you take notice, you may realize that Roshi and other reactors in general do exactly that as well. When reacting to a popular show, they sometimes will tend to omit details that would give it bad publicity, in order to not upset its fanbase and get roasted in their own comments sections. It's sad but when all social media have turned into Twitter because everybody prioritize freedom of speech over civility, there is nothing else you can do but to be half an hypocrite.

GojosHoho

1:38 immediate gooch view why 💀😂 we just got here

GojosHoho

I don't quite remember if he already said exactly what he got his hand scars from but did his parents do it because he had that ability as a baby 🤔🧐

Ej

I need this show to drop like two episodes a week!

angel

? bro these are kids please get help oh my days 🥀 the name diddier makes sense

Manny

Believe the voice actor for the kid is Boruto at least that's the most prominent role I can think of or maybe that one fire force villain that made gravity all weird could ring a bell

Mervyn Larrier

Remlin is a free spirit and NB. Which makes sense given their role. They're the voice of an entire, free-spirited city full of non-conformists that care only about art. To me, at least, that's part of why even so young they took to it so easily ETA: I'm also pretty sure Remlin is a self insert of the author. Kei Urana uses gender neutral pronouns (and even speaks with a fairly deep voice) and has red gair and shaved eyebrows. Given the powerset Remlin had, how they look, and how they power was passed from Gob to them, i think that was supposed to be representative of their relationship with their mentor, the creator of FF/Soul Eater (Okubo Atsushi). Lowkey the ep may have been a thank you to him for taking Urana in and guiding them. I think Okubo is the only mangaka Urana has ever worked under.

Domehead

Next 2 episodes gon be fiye asf

Jeremy Knox

Bruh what is her fixation on Rudo's dad? 😂 that man did not give him his gloves. All this speculating on wrong info is crazy lmao. Y'all might need to rewatch a second time lol.

kingBD

Its a couple things they need to watch on apple tv

Devin B

Speaking of Yaiba, I wonder when these guys are going to continue it

Whois

Yeah I was like is that…..

Rell_TheGoat

I think there are a lot of broken abilities like that because bro Gris was on his deathbed and their healer can just say deny and he back in the field next day😂😂

ProKnockz

I don't trust that mayor at all i smell foul play

Xemnas27

We in Detroit now 😂

CentipedeKid

They got magic now wild. Gob had fucking magic and decided fuck it let me get lung disease for the love of the game. If I had magic I might do something like write on myself "can breathe anything" before going outside.

CentipedeKid

Imagine hearing Gob died from acting like a child then they give his power to a literal child

Keevondrick Womack

Literally the theme song played in my head after he said Pepper Ann. Specifically the voice crack part.

WillGlacier

Thank god Gob got more than one fucking scene compared to in the manga. Bro showed up ONCE after he died as a silhouette-ish flashback in the manga. W anime only changes !

Malike Lee

We need a sex joke counter like team four star cause penis palace is crazy work lol

bunnaily

sheera, rudo isn't self-pitying like that 😭 he was touched by the notion of celebrating a dead person's life instead of being miserable about it

bunnaily

he was in pain and these characters are 15 and 16.. weird pred

Yolo Samurai

That random nostalgia hit with that Pepper Ann though! That was my shit back in the day. Any other 90's baby's in the comments? 😄

Vinne

The yeah counter stocks would be a better investment lol

Yughon

It's not the voice of yaiba. It's the voice of boruto, Taichi in digimon adventure or Selim bradley/Pride in FMAB

Drake Rage

3:37 Gotta point out my OG fav voice Kiritsugu (Fate/Zero) voicing the Cleaners' boss!

YungZeus

Damn, he really could’ve done that. Tbh tho, they already would be going down the road to getting cancer at 30

CentipedeKid

Tattoo "I'm in perfect health at the beginning of everyday" on everyone and everything is solved

YungZeus

Reminds me of Bleach, with fullbringers. Exact same concept really. Just more in depth.

Domehead

I think you can interpret it both ways especially on first watch cuz we never saw him truly mourn for him after the fact.

LUPASAN

FMAB!!! Thats where I recognized it from! Thank You! My brain was like “You have heard this voice before”

Fizzy 🐉

Bro facts the manga did Gob so dirty he hardly had screen time

Jarrod Sims

If yall can yall should check out the dub for this if yall got time its pretty cool. Jabber's and Semiu's voice actors are great

Yughon

I know the feeling, it's basically a curse lol.

N

i’m excited for amo next episode

AutumnOnFire

Aline and Renoir be chillin somewhere here

Ekko08

Canvas town is definitely the town I'd want to be in. Possibly becoming a giver AND it's art related oh hell yeah

thatNEET_

Yo Pepper Ann really is a deep cut.

Malike Lee

A prize picks for sex jokes would make us all millionaires lol I got 4 bands on my girl to make us rich rich.

Malike Lee

Also anyone read this it is not disrespect. Love these guys and all they do. They always have me dying laughing.

Wizard

I haven’t read the manga but I heard she’s a love interest for Rudo, so it’ll be cool to see the shipping wars

Mr. Toxicc

The powers in this show is wild give me more!

T2M

I wonder if rudo can control trash beasts in the future

Arturo

I've never heard of Pepper Ann. Guess I'm not unc just yet 😅

Wendell Woods

Pepper Ann has a good intro song!

Christopher M

Pepper Ann? I guess you could say she is......... ONE IN A MILLION!!!!!

Rishad GB

where do u see the shippin wars of this anime tho btw

N

Amo or Riyo

ViralCorgi

We actually don't know Remlin's gender. It's purposely never referred to.

General Grevious

That power reminds me of Rohan’s stand in Jojo’s😂

Sy'mon Almeida

he is dead but his powers still works on the city. that says that if you cast a spell it will work even after death that is strong

Sham3ful

Remain looking like a whole Pictomancer from FF

Dyastro123

Its been a while, so i don't ACTUALLY remember if i said "then you should watch more anime" in a mean way or not........but i will say that i hardly considered you in as such a negative light as you took it. Present me is sorry if it came off that way. I'll just say that you comparing the power system to *insert random popular anime* in the way that you did, just came off as if you were insinuating that gachiakuta "stole" from it (to me at least at the time). So it felt as silly as; hearing someone who never watched Cinderella the OG, look at a current running alternative adaptation, and compares it to an older alternative adaptation.......as if THAT one was the OG. Like.....its a common troupe..... Like, compare shows that have similar plot lines, wondering why......while not knowing what the "hero's journey" is in storytelling. Its actually pretty interesting, you should look it up. It's a very common way of writing a story that dates back to not just biblical, but even ancient times too! Once you know it, you will notice it in everything! Especially some of the considered greats (like the odyssey, star wars, harry potter, etc etc etc) Once again sorry, i just felt like i had to correct you.

tyla_xoxo

Ik this is late asf but he said hes had them for as long as he can remeber them and that they r a curse
