In addition to what the comments above said, remember that supes in this world have been a normal thing for many decades. Most superpowers, aside from the extremely unique ones, have been researched, documented, and categorized. There have probably been people with that power before. If not, they should be able to figure out their powers through tests and scans.

Honestly I prefer Kate keeping her one ally in check, cause he was ripping people to shreds as he was. Like Emma can’t be the only anchor to keep him grounded unfortunately, but obvi she could handled it a different way using different words to help him feel in control of his thoughts. Cipher is Godlkin and the V he got gave him youth potential immortality maybe by accident cuts he received and pricked himself.

I think I'm starting to see the full plot of Gen V: It's likely the ODESSA project/the school is trying to improve Compound V enough to give someone the ability to control all cells, molecules, or even individual atoms, nucleons, or even quarks too maybe, since by then that person can alter the Compound V to give specific powers😮. Marie and Newman's blood cell controlling powers are likely prototypes of the full thing, and are being kept under watch to see if they can progress to any cell in the future. The Boys is about supes gone rouge, Gen V seems to be about stopping the development of the Compound V further🔥

I hope this doesn't turn into a Walking Dead situation, where we've got the final season coming up of the main show, and the ending doesn't really feel like an ending because they've got more spin-offs planned.

Whether I'm paying attention or not, it literally doesn't make a difference when in the timeline it takes place. Or, who the P.O.V. characters are in the show; it'll be the same type of humor and subject matter. We just saw a guy spraying beer out of his ass into a crowd of people. Out of context, if you saw that scene in a vacuum, you would just think was another episode of The Boys, which is the exact same issue with the Walking Dead franchise. It all looks and feels the exact same.
