This was definitely a top episode for me because after seeing Kousei deal with his trauma he was able to put it to use in this performance to up his game

jetnicco

I was fighting back tears with you Sheera

Asher Ealey

Damn. The thumbnail said everything it needed to. Another beautiful episode.

Devin B

Also the competition in December is just for the pianists, he's just asking her in general to perform with him again

Asher Ealey

4:33 Nagi was looking like “wtf are you doing?! we ain’t never done this before. I’m only twelve😭”. While Arima challenged her to a round of Battle Keys

Asher Ealey

I wonder if music mfs hear the back and forth and it’s their version of freaking J Cole and Kendrick going back and forth on a track🤷🏽‍♂️

DIOR

Anohana would be a good anime to duo react to after this. Same studio.

Rin Okumura

Keep holding in the tear for the last 2 episodes.

stupeyca

Dang, this one was sad. Looking forward to next week.

A. P.

That absolutely happens lol Especially I think in jazz and classical. It wouldn't really be any way of making a Not Like Us or Hit Em Up where you get to call out exactly who a piece was for but there's always whispers. Some composers would write overly complicated sections just to be like "Y'all ain't got bars like this 😏" or imitate another composer's trills or modulations to be like "That shit easy 😌" So especially among musicians who were or at least felt they were elite — Mozart, Brahms, Ravel... Miles Davis, Duke Ellington — they were highly competitive and were even divas at times. Re-reading your comment I guess you're maybe talking about more from a listener perspective hearing two pianists go off like that at the same time, but yes to that too.

A. P.

Had to hit pause on my chow mein to drop a few thug tears... and this ain't even the most emotional part yet 😭

Dee

Agreed! Even if they don't post them at the same time, it's a better experience watching them back to back

LimboVibes

Ayyyoo was that watari that said “no fair” when kousei touched nagis hand??

Cc.Rin4456

you guys should check out “the long walk” when it becomes digital

TChang23

Probably my favorite performance aside from kousei and kaoris in episode 4

Deciphitic

This makes me want them to watch Carole and Tuesday so bad

fatima

Yes! Carole and Tuesday is really good!

cuuuhris

Yeaaaahhhh, that was sad

Devin B

I second this, I hope they continue to watch music anime

Creepy Killer

I would love for you guys to react to yuri on Ice after this

Asher Ealey

No that answered what I was asking and more. Thanks. I really never knew it was like that in that side of the music world. So all that is quite fascinating.

Jeremiah Cobb

Apparently what Kaori has is called “Friedreich's ataxia”.

LycoReco

feels like more of ALS than that.

Jeremiah Cobb

Maybe but when I looked it up, it said that’s what it was.

Riley Mayfield

They’re 2 years apart its not that crazy
