The intro is based on the Barefoot Contessa cooking show. As well as similar to carmys nightmare back in season 1 or 2 if i am not mistaken. an no Sheera the ashamed part was about Carmy coming back and Richie was actually happy he was back but never told him cause he felt Carmy was ashamed of him. lord you guys missing lol

and no the dad was there you guys missed that, ya you missed the timer said like 17 hours left, and the spoon being given is a nod to chefs giving their spoon or utensil to someone who is essentially become a excellent chef and can take over the kitchen. Carmy had that in szn 3 from Chef Terry while in a flashback.

The thing is, Syd was pussyfooting around. She'd been actively avoiding Shapiro instead of giving him a straight answer for weeks, if not months. He was also trying to launch his own restaurant, so his "crash-out" was justified. But on the other hand, he was trying to snake her from Carmy, literally smiling and playing in his face when he was trying to rob him. Syd isn't the only chef in Chicago, and he should have a Plan B.

He knew she was good, that's why he tried to get her from The Bear. He knows how good she is. It seemed like she was really into the idea of them working together, and he built the place around the belief that she was going to join. It's also an open secret how badly The Bear is being run and how it's doing financially. So, of course, Shapiro can't understand why she would want to stick with them.

Lol i disagree. All three of us grew up on Caribbean food or soul food. Food that is FULL of flavor. Fine dining is most of the time reducing food to the most barebones ingredients and gaslighting people into thinking its more high end or tastes better than ur local hole in the wall spot
