If you guys aren't going to watch the extra episode from last season because the second half is too on point with the allegations, then just understand that Dream is also the same God as Oneiros from Greek myth, and the representations of the Endless are also contemporary personifications of Greek Gods. I think you would all enjoy the extra episode of this season though.

I've been watching this series for almost two full seasons now, and it's only just dawned on me how these characters—like Dream and Desire, whatever you want to call them—feel more like gods than Thor and Loki. I dare say they are above the gods. I imagine if you made them more traditional superheroes, they would be incredibly nerfed to make them more relatable. For example, in the MCU, Thor is like 2,800 years old. In Sandman, Morpheus is trillions of years old; he's as old as the universe and exists across the multiverse or above it. You don't blink an eye when you hear something like that. The MCU basically made the pantheon of gods across their universe akin to aliens. That's boring and unimaginative. In the last episode, Morpheus fought a demon that turned into a universe unto himself. That's crazy, and it didn't even feel weird because that's the level of beings we're dealing with in the show. He created a room and then just destroyed it, erasing it from existence. As crazy as it sounds, it doesn't feel weird.

This feels like desire manipulating events, they had no attention to go look for their brother until they put the idea in their heads. Dream had no intention to look for Nada until they put the idea in his head. This feels like classic Thor and Loki cat and mouse games with mortals being used as disposable as chess pieces.

Figured I would put it out there to clear up some confusion if there is any. Delirium used to be Delight. I don’t remember the exact reason they changed but I think it had to do with her being so pure and lively that humanity’s bs and problems broke her. So when she really talks about stuff from forever ago like Judy Garland, I think she’s saying she knew her when she was Delight.

We never got a reason as to why Delight became Delirium, even in the comics. It's just one of the things that Delirium says she knows that none of the other siblings know. Also, when she talks about Judy Garland, she means Judy spent a lot of time in a state of Delirium. Similar to how she tells Mathew that she's met him but he doesn't remember. Mathew probably had some mental health issues when he was alive. That's how Delirium met him, when he was in her realm. Also, she's been Delirium long before Judy Garland was alive. Current Delirium can barely hold herself together in Delight form and most of the time she doesn't try because it hurts.

I believe Dream mentioned in season 1 that all gods (as products of human/mortal belief) are born in the dreaming. Dream is literally the missing link/common ancestor between all divine pantheons

uhm acutually, a lot of ancient goddesses had purviews of love, fertility (sex), and war. men go to war for land, money, and women. "alls fair in love and war" is a saying for a reason. very well connected

It is very cool. I'm pretty sure if dream or endless fought against characters like superman he would probably win easily. At the end of the comic you even see supes and bats appear.
