Not sure of anyone mentioned this but the manipulated is a retelling of fabricated city. Same lead actor and concept just fabricated city is a movie around an hour and 30 minutes long also two differences. First it's the mother and not brother and the lead actor was a gamer and not a delivery person. I doubt there will be a second season. Also an this is based on the 2017 film I think the ending was supposed to give the impression that operation was going to continue just with a new person in charge. Kind of felt like it was the mom that was in the chair at the end but I could be wrong.

I don't see why killing him make the ending better, like then his punishment just ends there. Sending him to jail for life, with him knowing he lost, would be far more satisfying to me.

To be honest if you rewatch most of the mom scenes you would know she was blind with the exception of a few mention. Also considering she's faking almost everything else it would be hard to imagine.

D.o did a really great job, I’d say this was his first dramatic role and by the end of this series I forgot who he was. My beloved from exo lol, I hope he gets some award, he was really convincing. Ji Changwook as well usually does these kinds of roles but I never get tired of seeing him in action.

My takeaway from this show: I’m so glad they had some themes of Christianity in here. People love to say that if God was real why does he allow evil people to exist, and for bad things to happen to good people, take Taejoong’s story for example, he got framed for some bs, and was wondering why the hell he has to go through all of this, God gives everyone free will, even Yohan, but Taejoong was the one God chose to fulfill his duty of exposing Yohan. He was protected multiple times and because he went through those harder times he became a stronger person. It sucks that that’s the way it has to be but we were never promised an easy life, Taejoong turned his lemons into lemonade and persevered, and I enjoyed the ending. That’s why the bible says I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me!

Free will doesn't explain why God lets bad things happen, though. Like I wouldn't choose to be murdered. So if I were murdered, that would be in violation of my free will, and it would be God allowing someone else's free will to override my own. Which in turn is God allowing bad things to happen.

even still, you also have a choice to be a follower of him or not, not saying he's allowing things to happen to you bc you're not a follower, but he cant just stop bad things from happening like i originally said, he just intervenes which is why the term "divine intervention" exists. You're 100% free to feel however you do though !

I apologize for getting all internet atheist, but your points are just silly, even according to your own religion. Being a follower has nothing to do with whether or not God allows bad things to happen. And many bad things that happen have nothing to do with a choice someone makes. I already brought up murder, which should be enough. But to make the point more obvious, no one chooses to be born with a horrible life destroying illness, and yet people are born with those sorts of illness a lot. But within Christianity, everything that happens is a part of God's plan, and nothing can deviate from God's plan. So God not only allows for every bad thing to happen, he planned for it, he knew it would happen in advance. Which means all of those people born with horrible illnesses are like that because God willed it to be so. This is an inherent problem with the Christian god, and you can't escape it by only pointing at people that overcome their hardships. Because you'd be ignoring all of the people that either never had a chance to overcome something or were given too much to overcome.

like i said you're allowed to feel how you feel abt it all, which is why i said it was MY takeaway and also based off some of my own personal experience which i shouldnt have to go in depth about. This has nothing to do with feelings or personal experience. Your "take away" on the problem of God allowing evil is just wrong and ignores the actual problem. God allowing bad things to happen to people to make them stronger is still God allowing bad things to happen. And only focusing on this single aspect ignores the fact that a lot of the bad things that happen don't make people stronger. If someone is born with a bad illness, it doesn't actually make them stronger. They just suffer until they die. Through no fault of their own, and with no way to change it or get out of it. All because God allowed it to happen, either through not intervening, or because it was a part of his plan. I'm sorry if this makes you uncomfortable, but you ought to actually think about this problem rather than dismissing it and trying to hand wave it all away with irrelevant things like your feelings and personal experience.

I totally agree, once I noticed that the story was taking the moral high ground rule and him not killing these vile people that put him through all this stuff including killing his brother, tarnishing his name, getting him r*ped and tortured cuz that's why I always happens to r*pists in prison, just for him to not be the one to kill these people and ultimately let the big bad and the orchestrator of all this go infuriates me. I only finished this show so I wouldn't ever wonder about how it ended but I will never recommend this to anybody nor come back to it.

I wholeheartedly agree, people say it better too have the guy still be alive to know that he lost and wallow in his misery but I say it's better that he's dead so you would have peace of mind knowing that this vile person it's around anymore and wouldn't be able to mess with so many people's lives again because with him being out even without the same resources he had beforehand he could still destroy people's lives.
