PJ Rivera

This show gets better each episode

Invader Rin

Bro at the end is the dude who sentenced Venetim and Tsav to be heroes in the episodes before this. Which caught me off guard, is this guy an actual friend or is he a goddamn Amanda Waller/Nick Fury building a team to fight against these "Coexisters." Because he sure knows a lot and his conversion with Venetim in the flashback made me think he is one of them, but now I don't know.

Lash

Tatsuya showing off that isekaied strength

Lea Garrido

Tatsuya has easily solidified himself as my second fave hero after this ep! And i agree the look of the holy sword was a little...off? I mean after that build up it was just...meh lol.

Ace

I agree, even when he was Sentencing, Venetim and Tsav he seemed more impressed with them than anything. I feel like he is gathering capable criminals to help fulfill his goal (whatever that is)

Jonathan Hart

Thing I love about this show is no matter how useless you think a character is, they prove to you why they're not. Them shooters for real came in the clutch

Vueko

it looked more like some weird stone carved into the shape of a sword, so it works good enough for me as a other worldly weapon.

JustThatOtherDude

NGL, i was hoping this episode was gonna link this series to Type Moon 🤣

Pan Cakes

tatsuya is an actual goat

Landez97

Tatsuya is a menace

Devin B

I'd like to think that the holy sword looked that way because they were short on time and Teoritta focused more on functionality than design which is why it looked unfinished

_monjiro

Might randomly decide to fuck around and rewatch yalls SAO reactions. Iirc yall fw the series so on the extremely offchance this comment is seen, please check out the progressive movies for some backlog content (whenever yall are out on business, itd be nice to have something to hold us fiends over) preash. Enjoying this show a shit ton too btw.

_monjiro

8:24 me when I stub my right pinkie toe on a leg of the coffee table

_monjiro

Mb I keep forgetting about Golden Kamuy. Watching that first

maseken

Dude was the same guy giving the hero sentences to the squad in the flashbacks we've seen and told Venetim that his fake story was real. Thought he was just a bad guy but this seems interesting now

Teeny Mite

i wonder if he is actually trying to protect them or use them for good in his twisted way. Instead of letting Venetim die for good, he made him a hero so he never dies and live knowing the truth. We already see him trying to drop hints to Xylo on it.

Teeny Mite

a suicide squad that never dies?

WillGlacier

Ahhh I think I get it now. I was confused why the church would even have the "hero" system if they are teaming up with the demon blight, but it seems dude with the purple hair KNOWS what is going on and is RECRUITING people he thinks will be useful to fight the "coexisters" Cause' it would be weird if the church was siding with the demon blight and then ALSO making heroes to fight it, but yeah this makes more sense.

thatNEET_

"I am not crying. I am much too great and powerful." I love how Teoritta sounds so full of herself in the funniest way.

Marsuvies Black

The collateral damage comment was funny. I'm upset no one laughed.

Arturo

I want a Tatsuya flashback when he wasn't so gone mentally. He's so cool!

Marsuvies Black

yeah, I agree she sped up and it looked like the finish wasn't right i think it was on purpose.

LycoReco

I think the sword design is intentional since Theoritta already reached her limit, so it might affect the look, cause anime made it seems to me that sword look like unfinished. but maybe Im coping. lol

WillGlacier

I'm guessing the people Xylo didn't wanna ask help from are his family/ from where he is from because. Guessing cause, well, he and those guys are like the only brown people in the whole show and they all have white hair and Xylo has some white in his hair. Seems pretty obvious

Learning Leisure

Lowkey, I'm a little annoyed how it's been six episodes and we still haven't actually seen any of the heores die and be ressurected yet, even though it's supposed to be premise of the show and is repeatedly mentioned by the characters. This could have been the perfect episode to see it happen with Xylo.

Denzelwya

Tatsuya got to much aura

Coatl45

Do you seriously want them to use the Dark Sign on Xylo? That shit’s traumatic, y’know.

Coatl45

Yeah, different factions are at play here. And he silenced Venetim because the public finding out that the coexisters were real would fuck all kinds of shit up.

Coatl45

More like a hollow undead from Lordran. That’s just what happens when you use the Dark Sign too many times.

WillGlacier

I mean it's either that or he was just talking mad shit and revealing a bunch of info about themselves for no reason (which I hope ISN'T the case because that would be stupid)

Devialous

Lowkey if you lookback at the sword it looked like it came out of the dirt.

SampsonII

Where have I heard that scream sfx before?

Vilgelm Litvinov

I think the sword looked cheap was because she forged it on the go. Maybe we will get a more powerful and better looking version in the future.

Isaiah Cox

Xylo has a really boring fighting style ngl

Basedra

It’s been awhile but welcome back “86”

Calvin Kartono

It was really cool first time I saw it, but the sword bombs are way too OP and it get's a little stale

steviemoe

This show is heavy on the action but it keeps you thinking. I'm really enjoying it so far

Learning Leisure

Any style will get repetitive if all you do is fight big ass fodder demons that die in one hit. Usually Most shows get around this by introducing skilled human or humanoid opponents. It’s kind of weird how Xylo says he’ll handle the human opponents but then doesn’t and it’s mostly Tatsuya that fights the coexisters instead.

Anon7524

Honestly this show is kinda getting boring tbh to me so far. The first few episodes were good but it's kinda been action overload with admittedly pretty animation but no depth beyond a seemingly generic fantasy story with almost all clichés form other stories very prevalent. I can probably even guess a few of the big twists if I had to say without reading the source tbh, that I wouldn't really call twists either since they are kinda generic plot points in other fantasy: such as Kivia likely turning traitor to the church by the end of this season ergo forced to become a Hero, the church's agenda being dichotomious leading to at least two separate apex factions, or even the goddess they said was responsible for summoning Tastuya from a different plane like 2 eps ago is also probably the one responsible for the hero spell which brings back the soul from a different plane. I like some of the characters a lot like Tastuya (Isekai'd protag killed to the point of insanity) and Noragell (Terrorist with DID), but my god do I hate how shallow and generic Xylo and Terrorita's characters are (Generic redemption & Full expose of the church). I just wish there was some other draw point to this show tbh besides the beautiful animation.

Helpy

Well said, unfortunately episode one tricked me...classic

Learning Leisure

Fully Agreed. Even the action is getting a little stale, since most of it is just blowing up monsters, which doesn't really give much option for showcasing any skills, tactics, counters, or any well-thought strategic pull-backs. I was legit hoping the human coexisters would prove difficult enough for the Hero's and Kivia's unit to adapt or retreat at least, but apparently they only needed Tatsuya, who of course is the MVP of this whole shebang of a this show. I mentioned this in a different comment, but it's also kind of wild how, 6 episodes in, the "death ressurection" hasn't even been shown despite it being premise of the show and a thing repeatedly mentioned/referenced by the characters each episode. Frankly, Xylo's near death could have easily been a perfect example to showcase it.

Learning Leisure

Maybe so, but it's the advertised premise of the show. How many times are they gonna mention stuff like "repair shop" or "you will never die" or "ressurection madness" or "died how many times" but not actually show any of the characters actually getting revived from death. Hell, they could have at least shown a fodder no-name "hero" bite it just so we see the ressurection mechanic at work.

lackingnames

I quit on episode 1. It was literally just an ultra-generic mashup of a few popular anime stories/worlds with the most generic characters possible.

Prim

Trailer was pretty good...😅

Delinda Arts

Imma need Xylo to get a bit more depth than "I'm the hardened protag with a dark past" trope. But I'm loving these characters so far!

Tsuki

Kinda sad to see some people dropping the show, it’s very good but like I said needs a little more outside fights, and maybe less repetitive fights. I personally still enjoy this show a lot. I like Xylo’s design (character needs a little more) and the other crew members are great characters overall (especially Tatsuya)

Coatl45

I would’ve thought that Tasuya’s current state would be enough to show the effects of that. I mean, he’s gone completely hollow. And unlike the Undeadburg, these heroes don’t have humanity lying around to restore themselves.

Tbdovan

Action Shows that don't have deep plot be struggling outside of fights lol. Story is buns we know where it's going but man to get there is the real test

RoninSensei

i know it from the harpies in witcher 3

Teejay

Boy ain’t no way, the reasons people are giving for dropping the show is just confusing. Are we watching the same show?

Qtoons

Man i had to scroll through a bunch of people hating to show find comments actually talking about the show

Isotope

Just realized before tatsuya killed those guys on the horses, he made a weird hand gesture.

Jaqarious

Comments trash bro this show is fine. Just curious something is simple doesn't mean bad

Tbdovan

You right Solo Leveling is a fine example of its very simple not bad but not great either

Siah

There’s a theory that Tatsuya has a system before he fought in the tunnel he started touching the air like he was using one (we need a prequel about him)

CAM

Maybe telekinesis

Gravity

Yeah my wife and I were like “oh it’s a sword”

Gravity

I understand not liking “throws dagger. explosion. Next repeat” but I think the story is good in the vein of dark fantasy

Oliver

I love that ability. It's really OP being able to imbue explosion into objects you touch XD

Oliver

I am thinking it might be the most basic power of the holy sword she can muster. Either the sword is just simple/humble or when it is fully manifested it will shine like a MF

Alkampus

I swear anyone is these comments will find reason to hate a decent show. Y’all in the comments here and on trigun. Stick to the show you’re paying for or leave because you are adding nothing to the conversations of people who actually enjoy watching.

Radoras

sooo...he's basically Fantasy-Gambit?

Patsakorn Pariyapranee

I mean it is a public space, and it’s not like they are nagging other ppl to hate the show, just saying their piece.

Yamahai

Saw people hype up the finale so decided to check out the show but man. Lupa looks like he’s physically struggling to stay awake in these reactions 💀

Coogie

Bros literally taking a full on nap while chewing gum 💀💀💀

Mollywopper

Then why are you still commenting
