Brianne of Tarth is a descendent of ser dunk. Bro egg is not a girl 😂😂🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ and yes S2 will be out in 27 and S3 in 28. It’s going to come out every year. After the first 3 seasons they plan to take a year break or 2 and then do another few seasons so the dunk and egg can age naturally so they don’t have to recast. The first 3 seasons are based on the 3 novellas. And George RR Martin has already given an outline for more seasons after the first 3 and is currently writing more stories for dunk and egg for future seasons after that.

For those who don’t know where this takes place on the GOT timeline I’ll break it down. this show takes place in 209 AC which is 77 years after the events of House of the Dragon. In which (SPOILERS) the Dragons have all died and this have been rendered extinct thus the Targaryen’s have become just like everybody else. It also takes place 90 years before the main Game of Thrones series. It also heavily references a historical event mostly absent from the main GOT series and thats the blackfyre rebellions which is another targaryen civil war and this show takes place just after the 1st one. That rebellion caused a split between the targ family one side remaining targaryen and the other being called blackfyre. Last fun fact: Ser Duncan the tall is Brienne of Tarths Great-Great Grandfather, no idea why George R.R Martin added that but he did.

For reference for everybody, this show takes place in 209 AC, House of the Dragon takes place in 129-131 AC, and the main Game of Thrones series starts in 298 AC. So this show is smack-dab in the middle of the two other series.

You honestly can. It is obvi involved in the GOT world but it is a smaller series of short stories. I do recommend watching the original GOT first though.

It only gets better and better too man. It’s insanely well written, acting, visuals, the sets and all of it is really well done on a way smaller budget than GOT and HOTD had.

You can just jump in, it’s based off of 3 short stories. It is of course in the GOT world and some major characters and stories appear and are told though. I would recommend watching GOT however you don’t absolutely have to.

It's unlikely to actually happen but that's the showrunners plan. GRRM gave notes for 10-12 additional seasons beyond season 3

2nd season was a step down but remember a lot of it was due to the strike and the budget cutting the episodes! The big battles S3 is opening with were supposed to be in S2. I didn’t read the books so I’m not sure what was changed or not added but the HOTD hate has been over the top. I think S3 brings back the peak. There is an extremely high bar now though after AKOTSK. But I am very confident S3 HOTD will be great🙏

It's so fun seeing y'all theorizing really not knowing anything. Going in blind is great. Try not to read comments, since people won't realize they'd be spoiling. At least till episode 4 or so. Some of this story was told in Game of Thrones in passing so people assume it's not really a spoiler what happens in this. Only good thing to know is that this is about 90 years before GoT. So a lot of these people you're meeting are like grandfathers or great grandfathers of ppl we knew!

Yeah Ill still watch when they come out with season 3. But I think they have a too many characters problem that really hurt it, even after the deaths its still very crowded and like half the storylines are dropping in quality because of it. Maybe they listened to the critiques, hopefully considering how long its gonna take for this one to come out.

doesnt really matter if a medium is being (re) adapted... look at ATLA and netflix's version of it, they easily could have fleshed out the story in so many points but nah they gotta boil it down. Or another counter example would be the hobbit- could have been one 3 hour movie, ended up being 3x3 hour movies.. it always comes down to writing
