imo Ah Jin is still not a great person but the grandmother was probably the only thing holding her back from being a straight up villain and as soon as she died she became even worse and harsher. I think Ah Jin was fine staying where she was with In Gang and his grandmother but now she has no one grounding her and wants to rise up even higher so she doesn't care about anyone else anymore.

i don’t think ingang offed himself thinking she directly killed his grandma. she just insinuated that she fell due to shock of finding out about her motive for getting close to them. it wasn’t a false confession that she directly pushed her or anything…

in-gang went out absolutely terrible. baek ah jin really told him he’ll die soon bc he’s weak just for her to be sole reason. she could have left that family alone. in-gang told her from the beginning she did not need to be doing all this bc she’ll be able to make it on her own. what benefit did she even gain from the relationship? she got dropped by her agency and was made public enemy #1. genuinely what was the plan here 😭

I think the show wants to keep you in this middle space of feeling bad for the MC or opening the door for her having humanity but even though she didn’t off the grandma: SHES STILL TRASH! Pack her tf UP! She’s the reason In-gang ended himself and that guy went to Prison earlier. Not to mention if she had never gotten involved with in-gang’s family bc of her own selfish reasons - grandma would have never died bc she wouldn’t hav been where she was! I don’t feel bad for her in any sense

We see Ah Jin blames herself for Grandma’s death. That’s why she’s not defending herself or explaining what actually happened. And on top of that, Jun Seo, the person closest to her, already assumed the worst. That’s why she says she’s exhausted and basically tells him that what he believes happened then happened. At that point she doesn’t care anymore. The only person who didn't believe she is a monster has died. With In Gang, I think she was being extra harsh on purpose. She wanted him to let her go. That’s why she lied and said that the shock of her finding out she stole her diary and approached In gang with the sole intention of dating him caused Grandma’s death. She then says he wouldn’t be able to handle them staying together knowing she died because of what she did. But she didn’t expect him to kill himself and that’s why she called him weak. in the bath scene when she says, “I couldn’t just fall apart with you. Please, understand me.” It does show she feels some guilt. I like that this episode shows that the last bit of humanity she had left died with Grandma. She is beyond any redemption now.

I believe that ah jin didn't push the grandma. She's never killed anyone before still and they made it a point in the first episode stating she's never killed anyone.

So, after meeting with the grandma, ah-jin was becoming more 'human' n was just living happy dating in-gang for a year because she had hopes that there ARE good people out here. But after the grandma dies she realized (once again) that there's no such thing as a hope in this hell (cuz she prayed for grandma to survive but her wish didn't come true). So now she's a demon demon cuz she's not gonna rely on anyone again n will not have any hope.

Really good episode. The way it starts with the audience thinking she was lying just to swing it around at the end. It feels like the guy at the end of the episode is going to be a proper villain to have someone the audience can root for Ah-jin to take down.

The pacing/writing of this episode was def off for me, wish we had more time with In Gang before he reached that unfortunate decision. It felt like they wanted to wrap this arc up quickly and introduce new ppl. I feel the worst for the lil brother, lost his whole family in a few days.

54:02 I will mention, Ah Jin knew in-gang had depression from the Grandma's notebook and she literally told him "You look like you would die soon if someone is not looking after you".. that was the episode Ah Jin kept using the notebook info to meet the grandmother at the temple, then at her apartment, then In-gang found Ah Jin at his grandmother's place and confronted her... Ah jin basically used "you need me to look after you or you look like you would die" to get into his life, which implies she would know it will kill him when she leaves... But anyways, trash ass show even by ep 7 for me, I just didn't know where the show was going because all the characters pretty much sucked to me, but I guess it is going to be worse than I thought, seeing the captions, and a comment about who survives.. lol.
