Seeing Ruby this locked in is definitely the highlight of this season for me , I lovee seeing Ruby like this

Surprisingly enough, Ruby is MUCH better at this whole revenge thing than Aqua. Aqua works slowly, trying to keep the collateral damage to a minimum, while Ruby just carpet bombs everything and makes use of what’s still standing. Even without manipulating the questions, Lupa’s right. Ruby’s on some demon timing here.

you're not wrong mind you, but there is differences. And there are things presented on this show that are a lot more common in the japanese industry then the western industry. A big example being idol culture, while that exists in the west it's a lot less common then the japan, and in japan idol culture is AWFUL. I mean look at the recent Idol/VA who got married, mfs were burning plushies and sending death threats

I like how the Director isn’t simply a horndog, he’s aware of his bad actions and obviously doesn’t like doing it but he’s giving his all into the ‘skills’ he has available for his family. His actions aren’t excused but making him have some sort of reason/relatability makes him more than a bland 1 dimensional character.

I think the issue with the media industry is that the standard everywhere was set up by hollywood, you always hear "this is the professional standard" when you work on something in media and that standard is usually set by hollywood but I think culture does play a hand although I don't think it does more that 10%

Oh yeah, unfortunately over here the first thing they get exposed to is ignorant ass talking points by Americans who act like white people are oppressed back in the US. I was paging through this book in a bookstore that was “explaining” to Japanese people how Japan is perceived abroad, and deadass this man said white people were “edging towards extinction” back when he was there in 80s because…they’re getting further away from 100% of the population? The way Japanese people will repeat racist ass stereotypes about them to me assuming I feel that way and I’m literally thinking “um, I’m not a time traveling racist from the 50s, who the FUCK even thinks that anymore 😭”
