From the way he was saying "Get out of the way" to Se-ah, my prediction is that u have kill someone after ur wish has been granted within the time limit or u r gonna die (they will take a soul per wish). Bcuz the knife was automatically going toward Se-ah n he didn't wanna kill her.

except i don't think he would've known the app's "intent" so to speak? i believe he said that because he was fighting control and very obviously was aware he was holding a box cutter, but i don't think he knew any of that would happen, if that makes sense. i actually think this is something they'll realize later (as is the case with most wish horror -- the first one or two deaths are always an accident -- bc they specifically made a point of including a tech specialist in the main group) i also don't think the lady is se-ah's aunt; she seems to work in the medical field and her name is jin-something (? i don't feel like restarting the episode lol). the woman who i can only assume is some kind of shaman's name is haetsal.

Oh hey, the female lead for this (Se-ah's actress) is about to be in season two of Study Group! That's cool. I swore I've seen her face before but it turns out I have not and she's actually a relatively fresh actress. She must resemble an idol or something, idk lol. Also, fun fact: Na-ri's actress *is* an idol, although she took up acting a while ago. (This is my accidental subtle propaganda for a Hotel del Luna watch someday...)

the aunt's background info was in the text exchanges but i don't think it got too specific yet; haetsal's name was given but imma be honest i did not actually clock it as her name at first and almost thought it was a term of endearment lmao ("haetsal" literally means "sunbeam", but i don't know if it's commonly used as a nickname/term of endearment or not)

Really solid show so far. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. And although Hyeong-wook was doing little too much sometimes, it was really sad how he went out. Seems like the app seeks out already insecure and desperate people. Then their isolation combined with paranoia gets worse so it makes it impossible for the few who do care about them to help. And also, they wouldn't be believed anyway (like Hyeong-wook's friends thought it was a joke app) which is even more tragic. And its also interesting Na-ri pretty much disliked Hyeong-wook at this point and never made it back to school while Se-ah who was the closest to him witnessed his death. I just wonder how their group dynamics will play out now.

You might have a point if they weren't also increasing the amount of content. An extra movie a week is no small thing. Length-wise its the equivalent of like 6-8 extra anime episodes per week.

I can only assume they're watching with proper subs given that it's directly watchable on Netflix lol. Entirely possible that the wonky subs are just on the version they use for visual purposes for the viewer (since I don't believe Netflix lets you screenrecord, although they do manage to do it for stream).

Even if they weren't increasing the amount of content, I'd still think it was understandable. Inflation is real and this is how they feed their families. That's life. But they fact that they are giving us more content along with the price change shows they care cause that's more than what most creators would do.

I theorize that the countdown started because the app was downloaded on another phone, and he passed it along. Like there can't be more than one owner at a time. And the ending was probably that he had to kill someone to survive the countdown, but he restrained himself from doing so, so it made him kill himself. Cuz he rushed at her with the blade out.

His wish was that he'd get a perfect score on the math exam, and he got the text saying his wish was fulfilled, so this doesn't totally line up. He doesn't like her romantically (if the "she" you mean is Se-ah and not Na-ri); the tech guy does, and her boyfriend is obviously the lead guy.

Just starting the show now so idk if it's revealed in the next 3 episodes now up. I'm wondering if he was "targeting" Se Ah because her bf wished practice was canceled. He didn't specify his wish and killing Se Ah would definitely cancel practice. Since it was stated you have to really mean your wish, maybe Se Ah entered his mind during his pleading and he accidentally put her in the app's path. Or because she hopped into his video during it. It would be interesting if you just have to offer a life in exchange but I feel like that's not the case going off of the intro. Not sure if the curse already existed or if intro girl created it because he (sorry don't know names yet) killed himself the same way she did and it didn't look forced on her end. But at the same time, the app seemed to be targeting Se Ah (used her phone to call and included her voice in making fun of him) so maybe Se Ah is connected to the intro girl who wished everyone would die. We just don't know if it was a broad wish (for anyone using the app) as shown so far, or will we get an expanded scene and she specifically named our main group?
