With the stairs it was basically the way to get to the second level was one the fourth level instead of the third (the library floor), which is just a little cheeky in terms of design.

Typhon's backstory is crazy...and tragic. Ironic she got her morality from her father and even he was judged. So the library's enchanted in a way where you can learn new information about people you know. That's one hell of a security system and makes it very useless to our party right now. I don't blame Meili for not caring about her parents. Yikes. Also very surprised Subaru doesn't ask more about her mom who took her in. I know I'd be curious to know about the person who literally saved her life as a baby. Her and Shaula's antics are adorable this episode though. Same with Subaru sprinting up with Beako. That guy at the end is definitely an Astrea. Especially with Shaula's reaction... we can figure out who this guy is.

WE HAVE ARRIVED! After all these years! I would never have believed it if you had told me at the end of season two that this scene would be animated. My man ten toes down, two hands up is finally here and prepared to swing a stick better than anyone in history (with the exception of Astrea Reinhardt of course). Fun fact: the city we were in last season was constructed as a trap that murdered Typhon, the Witch of Pride. We were previously shown her lifeless body in the show under the city! Normally, that would be excessive for one person, but in this instance, sorry little girl, you’re innocent and it’s unfortunate that you randomly got that ability, but it's good riddance since it's insane to die because someone asked you if you had ever done anything wrong or felt guilty about anything. Like, are you able to RELAX? Sukuna’d a town off of that trashly worded question and naive intentions. I heard of put them under the jail but put them under the city is even better. This may be a bit late, but one of my theories about the Flugel scenario, aside from it being a future Subaru, is that it might be two souls in one scenario, similar to JJK, but with cross-dimensional travel added because the show is also an Isekai. We are aware that several individuals, including AL, Hosen, and Flugel, are from Japan. Additionally, we have witnessed several souls living in a single body, such as Subaru and Satella, as well as Regulus and Belteguese (That clip we saw of them wasn't a dream; rather, it was a part of the shadow garden dimension that Subaru is in when we've seen him die. This is why the cult Sirus girl detected her "husband" in Subaru because, for some reason, he gains their souls and powers when he defeats them.) Although Emila was born a century ago, we are informed that she resembles the witch from 400 years ago. After accumulating all the witch factors, I believe that Subaru's body—and perhaps Emilia's body for Satella—may be a suitable vessels through which the souls from the past are attempting to re-express themselves (or join the mix of souls in one body) in order to fulfill their "goals" for re:zero and that’s why Subaru was chosen due to his specific body and knowledge he holds from the “real world”. Perhaps Satella and Japanese individuals from the past, such as Flugel, had a glimpse of what would occur in the future and how they might reappear. We know that this can be done, thanks to season 2 content, as the witch, Echidna, found a way to revive herself and is alive right now in the story unknown to the main cast. Satella's affection for Subaru may stem from her perception of what he will do for her in her future body or future circumstances. This is a stretch; I came up with this other theory because if it's a future Subaru, time travel may mess up the history and timeline. However, we don't know how time travel functions in re:zero or how the author will write the rules of time travel stuff.

I think they mentioned the stairs were where they were before. So I can only assume it was on the previous floor. To make it simpler, they hid the stairway that leads up to the 3rd floor of a house on the first floor. Or the basement, not the second floor

In season 2 it was revealed that Subaru isn't going back in time no? He was just jumping between timelines so we know there are different Subarus but what if Subaru can be sent in different times too and that's Flugel?

Do you remember the city from last season that flooded? They said the reason the city was built was to trap and kill a witch and this was the witch in question, it was her named that was brought up. One the witches cult main reason for invading last season was to find her remains.

There are 2 important details in this ep. 1. When meili said she was abandoned at a very young age, she befriended the mabeasts because of her blessing. The way i see it, she probably didn't know specifically how to use it. This implies that her blessing has also a passive effect, so when the mabeasts saw her, they most likely viewed her automatically as a friend. 2. This leads to the 2nd one. We didn't get a scene this episode where meili asked shaula directly to carry her. Not to mention shaula didn't react in any way when meili climbed on her to hold her 'reins'. So its most likely the case shaula willingly carry meili around and not react in a hostile way because she is affected by meili's blessing.
