When jade said to pull out the tree I was initially thinking the tree that he is saying to pull out is the one that everyone sees when they get stuck there and there is some kind of time fuckery going on. Similar to what Roshi was suggesting at the end of the reaction about there being some time loop stuff, but the man in yellow saying this was the first time they tried it likely kills that theory

Random thought, I think it’s funny how Boyd actor(Harold Perrineau) has been in two similar shows. FROM is literally a different version of the show Lost. Just exchange the supernatural island with monsters nobody can escape for a supernatural town with monsters nobody can escape. In Lost there was a being called The Man in Black or the smoke monster. In From, we have The Man in Yellow.

I've been saying this: They'll introduce a problem. For example, we need to find a door, then Donna has a heart attack. So the episode focuses on Donna and her heart attack, then in the last minutes of the episode, they find the door, kicking the can down the hill to the next episode. Next episode, we've found the door. Now we've gotta go down there and find the kid's bones. But before they can do that, we've gotta follow Victor, then Henry, then all these other people. And the kid's bones are put off until the next episode.

I think Jade's reasoning to why digging up the tree and sending a team to dig AT THE SAME TIME is because the Boy in White said they are running out of time, Jade wants this done quickly and they can really only do this operation during the day. But then again, they could do the tree on one day then send the team the next day but who's to say the monsters won't sabotage their escape route during the night? Jade's plan is logical enough, it's just extremely risky, plus the Boy in White said to Victor to not cut down the bottle tree, clearly there is a severe consequence when you cut down that tree.

Maybe this tree growing is what allowed them to have some normalcy for the residents

This is the only show where 53 minutes passes by and you feel like nothing happened. I'm officially a hate watcher of this show I only look forward to the reactions now. I have given up on the story coming together cohesively and providing a satisfying ending. You can just tell they keep adding story elements that go nowhere just to waste time. We spent 3 episodes this season and last season on Julie's story walking for it to go nowhere. Haven't heard from the lake of tears since episode 3. I can see them dragging this for 6 or 7 seasons tbh.

Idk why y'all clowning on Victor's dad so much. Poor guy literally lived a full life in the worst way possible - losing his wife and kids. After years of grappling with that loss he then gets transported to a town that follows Grimm fairytale logic. There he's reunited with his dead son but finds out he can't leave. Plus, he's been poisoned/under the influence of the most powerful humanoid entity we've seen on this show so far. Ofc the dude is desperately clinging onto a plausible lie.

I know the entire point is that the town's people don't know anything and that adds a level of suspense and tension but I'm feeling a HUGE hole of that dopamine "can somebody accidently come across this girl acting strange already". Also… everyone in this town has acted “weird”. They’re in the most horrific unique situation…. So someone doing things that look a lil off, while everyone is fighting their own mental break… isn’t gonna stand out to anyone much unless it’s something glaringly obvious. Sophia hasn’t really done anything suspicious publicly for the characters to be alarmed by. Us as the viewers are only hyper focused on her actions or facial expressions because we know she’s the MIY.

Tabitha was intent on not letting Ethan learn because she didn't want to mentally accept that possibility. Is it the responsible thing to do? No, but she's not exactly a responsible parent. She leaves Ethan and her Julie alone every episode then gets desperate when they're missing

The scariest thing about Jade plan is the boy in white warned Victor not to cut down that tree. Though it's more likely that the MIY is just trying to scare Tabitha. He may be telling the truth and he really doesn't know what happens if they dig up the bones. The town always seems to punish them every time they make progress and this would be a new step thats never been done so the punishment may be crazy and he just wants to watch.

I think people should give Henry more credit for believing. It'd be easier than you think to convince yourself you're in a coma. The day he took the acid, to him, would essentially be the same day his mind began to dream his wife and kids left and never returned.

Like the entire point is that EVERYTHING has been in his mind since he took the acid with his wife. So, the life before he got pulled into Fromville would be included with that.
