Storywalking is clearly a very strong ability that's why they are trying to push it off until the final season. I think the conversation she had with Ethan about him being so afraid is gonnaotivare her to start again. She still needs someone to pull out of the ruins though. I think that was the biggest issue, when Randall decided not to help her again. And rip if we see Elgin back in town instead of Sophia lol

Okay, I'm personally giving the From team the benefit of the doubt because the writers and creator wrote and developed this story for five seasons of television. This season did feel odd as a season of television and they definitely could've given us a little more of a cliff hanger in this episode, however, if it is a literal 'chapter' of a book, it fits very well for the penultimate chapter of a five chapter book: the big revelations for the main characters was the last season finale and this season was a consolidation of the events in S3 E9&10 and the added man in yellow fuckery to destabilize us along the way, but it also has set us up (hopefully) for absolute carnage in the final chapter. I'm staying patient and let them cook. We let Dark cook and when it was all revealed at the end it was worth the patience, confusion and odd cliffhangers.

It's weird seeing media with adult rating and they do nothing with the actual content. Humans being stuck in a town and they act more sane than people with bad wifi connection. It's weird they haven't showcased any "flawed" characteristics among our protagonist. Had Elgin died because of Boyd, we would still like him, because we understand how dire the circumstances are. Even having Elgin behave like an outcast after kidnapping Tabitha which resulted in him committing suicide, another heavy topic fitting for adults. There is so much they could do but it feels like a kid's show..

For instance, Jade's death will be more impactful, especially after he thought he couldn't make out of the cave alive, he even was giving Tabitha a farewell. I think the issue everyone is having with this finale is that its the first time a season ends with unresolved arc. Season 1 ended with the radio plot failing, season 2 with the ballerina monster defeated and season 3 ended with Fatima giving birth to the monster. This season villain wasn't defeated or even challenged really

So it seems like BIW and MIY are playing chess, which makes sense from how the story has gone. Elgin finding the photo, finding out Clara is in with the MIY was such a nothing burger. Julie not going back to story jumping was so stupid this entire time because why was she in such denial for so long. Ethan not finding the lake of tears which is going to bring back people from the dead, it was mentioned in the first season. But damn so much could've been avoided that really felt like it was only done to prolong the season for another one to come in.

Yeah, this is unfortunately the weakest season, ep 5 and 6 were peak but that's it. So far, Season 3 is still the best season, followed by Season 1 then 2 and then this. I wouldn't say this was trash, it's okay but Season 5 is the final season, so that makes me nervous that this might end up like The Boys, a lackluster end with a lot of plot holes. The least they can do is up the episode count and at least have the final season better than this one.

I think next season will be fun wish there was a bit more of a bang this seasons end. though I was initially upset with the finale alot still am a bit, since idk alot of the stuff I liked (Julie storywalking, and marielle hearing dead people) kind of got sidelined or cut off. All that said I’m still hopeful maybe season 5 will give us a nice conclusion Now some theories, I think Jasmine (the monster who tricked that kid to let her in colony house via a long con) may have been the Fatima of the prior cycle given she says “I didn’t choose to be this way” etc… Also bit of a random theory about Donna and Randall potential pre town backstory which they may not even cover at all but given they are more important side characters especially Donna I’d like to see it. I think donna was a criminal on the run with her sister irl and part of her doesn’t wanna get back to the real world (that’s why she’s a bit more reluctant about chances of leaving compared to others ) I don’t think she’s a mole or nothing (like those of roshis fleeting congregation think im for one not such a zealot in that regard but she is sus in ways) my whole theory for why Donna was kind of iffy about Randall and Randall was how he was with Donna is cause idk “game recognizes game” (or whatever) and a Randall is an ex con (just going off their vibes for that theory but I think it would explain both their behaviors and like Randall’s sort of outbursts in season 2 and such well) My final theory is more relevant to the miy and biw: This theory came to me cause I was making parallels to some other mediums mainly LOST but also soulsborne My theory was maybe the miy is the biw but they are split into two halves good and evil or chaos and order or something like that . I’ll copy paste the theory and its basis below . so miy say to biw “i like your optimism and growth” earlier i complained about biw and miy not having as much nuance as some other similar interpretations but what if the biw is the miy what if hes like two halves a dark half and a light half the light half having the innocence and naiviety of youth and the dark half being that of a man. In Soulsborne (mainly elden ring) there’s alot of divine entities splitting themselves into two halves so that’s kind of where the latter speculation came from could easily see the biw and miy something like that, a yin to a yang so to speak

i actually didnt agree much with how a buncha people were already saying nothing was happening earlier in the season, but def think the episode was super lackluster for a finale. imo it kinda feels like a lot of characters and their relationships were watered down this season (as kinda mentioned with ellis and kenny to start), and its true that the sheer number of plot points just left hanging feels kinda weird. also agree that elgins death (tho i think him refusing to assist the miy and praying again spoke to his character) and victors confrontation with his dad felt very anticlimatic. like elgin was such a backround character this season and was just magically killed off hella quick at the end + while i dont want anything awful to happen to him ofc, i feel like a bullet coulda at least grazed ethan somewhere in that little tussel to add to the tension and stakes of the scene, further reemphasizing how real the consequences wouldve been

I don’t get why people are calling Marielle’s death random or abrupt. Back in Season 2, Marielle dreamed that Smiley walked into the clinic and killed her. Fast forward to Season 4, Episode 10….and that’s exactly what happened. FROM has been foreshadowing events through dreams all along. If that wasn’t just a coincidence, it raises a bigger question: are the characters’ dreams actually glimpses of the future? If so, we’ve probably already been shown major spoilers without even realizing it. Y’all need to pay closer attention instead of criticizing.

its on par with season 1 - dare i say better. We literally learned that the boy in white and man in yellow are essentially demi-gods or demons playing the same game over and over again for their even higher being. (red lightning storm) It reminds me of D2 lore and how the gardener and winower play their game with life. Fatimas transformation CGI was amazing. We actually lost someone vital (Mari) and there WAS actual management with a consistent background character out of left field. This season was great.

You guys mentioning all the plot points at the end made me realize, jeez this really was a gap season lol. Especially with the story walking point. Elgin plot actually made me mad lol. Perfect set up for the "found information he shouldn't have" and they cut the head off before it could even grow. Most pointless screen time ever, unless they plan to do something with his death next season.
