The Wildly Demonic Ban-Kai Nozarashi (‘Weather Beaten One/Exposed to the Wilds’) Much like Unohana’s shikai/bankai, Kenpachi’s has the same name and double meaning. Derived from the imagery of a skeleton or skull exposed to the elements in a field, now fleshed out into an Oni (Demon) able to slice through or devour nearly anything. Thematic Meaning: The name reflects his raw, primal nature as a warrior. Instead of a refined technique, his Bankai strips away his rational mind and turns him into a mindless, bloodthirsty berserker who relies entirely on instinct and sheer destructive power. It grants him immense physical strength and a level of cutting power so absolute that it can cleave through nearly anything, though the immense strain causes his own body to break apart if he is not careful. Now much like Shunsui’s Bankai that is an adult play, Toshiro’s Complete Bankai is the adult/inverse of his incomplete one, already one of the strongest ice type Zanpakuto’s that could freeze nearly anything now he can freeze concepts like Hope itself, possibly the most broken ice user in fiction. Shikai Hyōketsu (Four World Freeze) This is an ultimate technique used by Hitsuguya. Despite the name containing "Shikai," it is actually an absolute ability of his mature, fully-completed Bankai, Daiguren Hyōrinmaru. Freezing the Elements: Hitsugaya freezes everything within the space he steps across in four paces. It halts the four fundamental elements of earth, water, fire, and wind. Function Nullification: It does not just trap targets in ice; it completely suspends and stops the "functions" or properties of anything frozen down to an atomic and spiritual level. Instant Activation: Once his true adult form matures and he triggers the command, everything in his designated path is crystallized and neutralized within four seconds. As for Gerard, once cut down and pushed to the brink of death he becomes “Ashtonig” (‘Divine Authority of God’) resurrected by his Quincy Schrift as the heart of the soul king allowing him to miraculously come back from seemingly anything. Byakuya’a ultimate technique “Ikka Senjinka” (One Bite, Thousand Bladed Flower/Bite of the Thousand-Bladed Flower) is the result of his training with squad 0. And finally at the end with Ichigo accepting both sides of his powers, representing the true msg of Bleach of self acceptance and parallels of the world.

Fun Fact: The VA is Yuki Kaji who voices Eren in AOT. Bleach TYBW Episode 44- “The Perfect Crimson” Keyword Page Bankai "Daiguren Hyōrinmaru" (‘Grand Crimson Lotus Ice Ring’) “This is the Bankai of Hyōrinmaru, the Zanpakutō of Tōshirō Hitsugaya, captain of the 10th Division of the Gotei 13. It is the strongest ice-type ability, generating ice wings and a tail on his back and freely freezing surrounding moisture. Next week is the 10th anniversary since the original end of the Bleach manga. There’s no question This is anime of the season. Ain’t nothing competing with this. As I said last week, this along with the next few isn’t just the best in Bleach, but in anime & TV history and I was proven right as the studio understood the assignment.

Toshiro is too young for his body to be able to contain the enormous spiritual pressure his bankai injects into it, which is why it ages him up now after training in a cave (he mentioned this last arc). Toshiro is really 13 years old in human years, which means that he is such a prodigy that his body is hard locked from using his true power until he matures. Considering he accomplished this in just 2 years, he'll surpass Captain Kyoraku much sooner than Shunsui himself predicted. The OG anime's portrayal led to many misconceptions about Bleach due to the amount it deviated from the source - especially when considering the filler. When taking into account his CANON performance we see that he constantly bats above his reiatsu weight class through his technical genius, analytical mind, combat IQ and of course his incredibly deep connection to Hyorinmaru. His win/loss ratio is good, and even excellent when taking into account all he has achieved for his age, and how massively hampered he is.

I remember when they debuted Zaraki’s Bankai that people were upset because it was so short and to this day we don’t know much about it. I don’t mind the fact that it didn’t last long because again Zaraki isn’t used to using shit like this in comparison to other captains who have bankai. He’s a meathead so of course he would over do it. To me I feel like his bankai is as simple as it gets because that matches his character. He just becomes a berserk demon who will attack anything in his sight because he’s lost his senses. I don’t need anything else beyond that. So in the future because we are definitely getting that Hell Arc, anytime he has to use his bankai it’ll be one of the bankai that is classified as being a danger to everyone so he has to be away from his allies when he busts it out similar to Kyoraku. Also I need that funko pop expeditiously. I also like the subtle suggestion that Ichigo’s new form is still new and possibly not complete so that’s something else to look forward to in future of seeing this form perfected

The thing with yachiru is that she’s Kenpachi bankai/part of his sword, she’s always been part of it it’s just that Kenny never heard it’s sword name till now, when Kenpachi first met yachiru he asked where did she come from and she touched his sword, yachiru is his bankai zanpakotou spirit and nozarashi is his shikai zanpakotou spirit

I'm sure a lot of ppl forgot, but if you remember Bleach lore, it takes about 10 years to achieve Bankai, with the exception of people like Renji, Ichigo, etc. And then even up to 100 years or more to fully master it. It makes sense that Zaraki wasn't able to maintain his bankai for too long. To date, he's the only Captain who's achieved shikai AND Bankai, back to back, with no training (which is an ridiculously insane feat within itself). Also Toshiro has the most potential to surpass Yamamoto as he's a genius prodigy. Him and Zaraki are going to be absolute one shot units if we ever get to see them in their final form.
