Little detail Rui was scratching her arm because she gained that habit from Subarus memory of his bad habit of doing that. She gained his trauma response.

Ok so to explain two things. 1. The reason Rui threw Rem's memories away is because the memories that gluttony eats actually affect them, so when she was going to eat subaru's memories Rem's memory wouldn't let her hurt him which is why she threw it away. 2. What happened in that moment with Rem wasn't him getting his memories of Rem back, it was his authority of Greed activating. Remember he got invisible Providence from killing sloth and last season he killed greed so this was his greed Factor activating, they cut a line of him saying "come, Cor Leonis" the star that greed was named after (you can also see the Leo constellation behind him during the scene) I won't explain what it does as that comes later.

It will be obvious if something major changes. Its never easy. Getting rem back isnt that simple. Gluttony just threw that memory that was making him dear to her away.

It's a bit ambiguous, but the thing with him clutching that glowing thing will be explained in the following episodes. No memories back yet I'm afraid. But yes Rem did manage to spark a reaction in him despite him not remembering her, which does add some nuance to the whole "lost your memories" aspect as some element seems to stay with you even if you don't remember it. Rui's goal is to find the perfect life to live from the one's her and her brothers have been eating, and she's fixated on Subaru because he has the ability to redo, which in her eyes would make it possible for her to live an absolutely perfect life by retrying until she gets it right. So she wants his life. Also Emilia and Satella are both silver-haired half elves, so Emilia is discriminated for her race because of Satella's actions as the Witch of Envy. No-one knows they're literally identical, so it's just prejudice. As for why they're identical, I have no fucking clue lol.

Rem goaded Subaru so hard into not chosing a or b, but both and together with saving and being with absolutely everyone, it triggered his greed factor. Best part is, as opposed to sloth factor which always causes him pain because of incompatibility, greed will not cause him any harm because subaru has been greedy since the start of the show.

20:01 no, he's been thinking about all of the relationships he's made since he lost his memories. He is conflicted about whether or not a Subaru who lost his memories is the same person as the Subaru before having them eaten, and if not, whether a Subaru who has forged relationships with all these people deserves to exist. Rui told Subaru about the selfish thoughts he had about Emilia and Beatrice, about how, deep down, he used to pity them for the circumstances they were born into, and how he thought he deserved their loyalty for it. The Subaru of the past always tried to act like the hero for Emilia and a companion to Beatrice, and those two snubbing him at every turn until roughly the same point I season 2. This Subaru doesn't remember that, but he remembers falling in love with Emilia after her heartfelt speech to him in ep 11. If he regains his memories, the way Subaru sees those two will chance, and how much it'll change, he doesn't know, but he knows that he likes the relationship that they have now and he doesn't know if he wants it to change.

There's one flaw in your theory that Subaru regained all his memories of Rem. What Rui tossed on the floor was Rem's memories. They were making Rui hesitate trying to eat Subaru because she could remember loving him so she pulled those memories out and tossed them. So now I guess Rem's memories were litter on the floor of Od Lagna and they manifested and appeared before. She didn't nothing about other people's memories of Rem, and for Subaru, his memories of Rem are locked away with the rest of the memories that Rui ate. I guess what he felt was more like the feelings he had towards Rem, despite not remembering anything about her. Perhaps he got a feeling of deja vu of a time when Rem inspired him just like she did just now, but he doesn't remember him yelling at him last time.

Damn that memory dilemma is just like Hajime's in Danganronpa 2 with the whole going back to the real world but his Hajime persona being overwritten by his Kamakura persona, effectively 'killing' who he is now ( in theory ) and the only solution was to just have faith and hope it all works out in the end. I assume Rem appeared cuz Gluttony throwed that blue gem (her memories) away in this cradle to eat Subaru memories, basically as you guys said at the end. Which probably means his memories are too much for her to eat with someone's else (or perhaps they're enough to fill/satisfy her) so she did that to only eat his. idk this is just assumption. So at least we know (maybe) now that OG Subaru read Reid book that time and Gluttony ate his memories which caused all this, and.. she started to control him perhaps ? leading him to kill Milli and the other crazy stuff he did.. idk too many questions!

Yeah because Gluttony eats the memories of people who are alive, they’ve never eaten a memory of dying. Subaru is the only person who has died and come back to life, so he’s the only person who has memories of death.

The "Stand Up" Line is also a throwback to season 1 when they were fighting the White Whale. They did cut out the whole thing in the anime though and so the only throwback for the "Stand Up" Line is in season 2 when Subaru saw Carmilla the first time in disguise of Rem. Sucks tbh cuz I really love all these scenes and the fact that they cut that all off makes it kinda look weird here in this episode. People might get annoyed of Rem repeating this one line over and over.

The author intended for you to know this, the show is cutting pretty key details and they have been basically every season. It wouldn't matter much if they actually just switch the order that things were revealed, but they don't, they just never circle back.
