Devin reid

Someone gotta hit Jake with a swift stone cold stunner every time I rewatch this episode he pisses me off

xLithion

Poor Robby. This man needs a vacation STAT

jordansamuel

Jack abbot man, I need me a nightshift season like yesterday bro

Devin reid

By the looks of it it seems like season 3 is starting with 3rd shift

Charkie

straight up- like i get he grieving but yo dont you see Robby dealin with all this shit TWEAKIN

Devin reid

Yeah tunnel vision buckle up for season 2&3

vagabondhalogen

The way I wanted to punch Jake every time he spoke this episode like FAM DO YOU SEE ME COVERED IN BLOOD TRYING TO SAVE LIKE 30 PEOPLE?!

Bria A.

On the other hand, trauma aside (and I do understand what he was *trying* to communicate), "I'm gonna remember Leah long after you've forgotten her" was an unnecessary snipe from Robby

Devin reid

No it was necessary cause they will both be traumatized from this but Robby will have to carry it with him in a different more direct way since he’s the one that tried everything he could to save her and failed Jake was not thinking right due to his trauma and just wanted to hurt Robby with his words

Afrobushidohub

Im saying, S3 will have more Night Shift, but they need to just make a full 15 on top of the 15 we get with Robby's crew...Give me 30 episodes like Mel giving 30 pints of blood

Afrobushidohub

To answer the last question about do they get days off. Nope, remember they are understaffed, as you saw with Abbott about to jump in episode 1, but back in for night shift to deal with...this...Essential workers get paid really good money, but deal with alot of stress

Mervyn Larrier

I hope once he was a little less traumatized his mother told him how absolutely fucked what he said to Robbie was. Like, yeah, he couldn't save her. How the fuck do you think that makes him feel?

Wes

What? Yes they do get days off. It’s either a 3days working 4 days off or 4 days working and 3 days off. Or some do 7 days on and 7 days off. Do you know how impaired they would be if they have no days off and dealing with that level of stress daily? Heavy research into burnout from healthcare professionals are out there and as one myself I can tell you that we need more days off and better pay and staffing 🫩

DIOR

Jake the snake

AJ Shihouin

They do get days off but Docs hrs are diff than nurses & support staff. It could be 3 days on and 4 days off but Doc hrs, I’m not sure of but I know it’s crazy lol

Teejay

I feel for every patient and doctor.

Joe Crammond

scary to think that Robby would have been at PittFest but Leah got his ticket instead

Gib

It depends on the hospital I think. At the hospital by me the ED and Surgery are beefing constantly b/c the ED docs "only" work 20 days a month, and so is considered a relatively good schedule.

Seth Aasland

“Burr hole” oh boy, I’m getting flashbacks to Greys Anatomy

ccochran80

Imma Jack Abbot enthusiast

Raymond Terry

Respect to Noah Wyle. I never watched ER like this back in the day, but man. What an emotional ride.

User10101

Give Robby's actor all the Emmys. Phenomenal actor!

NiToTheNah

Its funny to think they saw Abbot in Ready or Not 2 before The Pitt

Joni

Damn the convo between jack and robby at the end was sad. I get jack is just shocked n sad n feel responsible for his girlfriend's death but wt he said to robby was not fair but i also get he's a kid n he's not thinking straight he will regret saying those words when he get his senses back

Squaler

The fact the actor that plays Jake is not very good at delivering his lines and dialogue also plays into the fact he comes off as a total write off character who no one likes.

Gib

Oh, they did!

Brittanie Malan

Am I the only one that agrees with Langdon about Santos? She’s insufferable. She is a FIRST year resident. As someone who works in health care administration, 3rd year FELLOWS aren’t as know-it-all like how she is. Her overzealous antics is going to get somebody killed.

Lin Fei

i completely agree. Santos is a very good doctor but her personality is INSUFFERABLE BRO and it angers me so much that she was right abt langdon im ngl. Langdon still the goat and he does need to apologise bc he was indeed addicted but Santos is the most annoying person in this show next to Javadi's mom.

andi

langdon doesn't like santos and vice versa because they're getting a taste of their own personality through someone else lmao they're both arrogant and overzealous and like to crack mean jokes. langdon just has more experience and thus more reason to be confident. it's cool that we get a character like santos who can be annoying but the narrative doesn't punish her for it by having her constantly humbled. i love that she was right about langdon stealing meds too just so people can't shit on her for that lol

Magical Drinking

One of the best episodes of television I have ever seen.

catfootprints

But to be honest that’s a kid who is losing someone important to him in that moment. Yes, he’s being irrational and hurtful, but it’s understandable.

Anime4Life

Didn't Jake just meet that Girl for like a Day basically a stranger!

Lin Fei

Thing is though with Santos, wirh what they've shown she always needs a mask or to put someone else down to make herself feel like she belongs or make herself feel like she isnt doing "bad". Its so aggravating and i dont want her to constantly humbled but humble her ONCE for being an annoying mf like bro PLEASE oh my days

hokeypokey

Think they missed the point that the reason they don't use that throat thing isn't cause it's old or dangerous, its because it cost more, they would use it more often if they had the budget.

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨❤️‍🔥

i see where both of them r coming from and none of it was necessary, its just deeply unfortunate all around. also tbf jake also did everything he could to save her - he was the one holding pressure on her wound the whole way there, which is as much as he knew how to do. id say thats still pretty direct. and on top of having a personal connection to her, as much as one can mention robby might also have compounded guilt due to providing the tickets for them, jakes also clearly the one who asked to go with her instead and did so. i dont imagine it was so much a thought process of 'i want to hurt robby' but just the natural 'y is life so unfair? y could u save others and not leah?' in which hurting robby was the obvious side effect

Rabadan422

Fr surely he should have seen he has like 15 missed calls from Robby and the hospital showing that Robby was worrying for him and his huzz the entire time.

ViralCorgi

lol I love how Santos is getting under people's skin in the comments but I'm personally enjoying having her around 😅😆 She makes things interesting. Not everyone can be a bleeding heart Golden Retriever, it's nice to have some Black Cat energy in the mix. She's arrogant but has the skills to back it up, and you can tell she's acts emotionally detached as a defense mechanism but does have a strong moral code and isn't comfortable with getting too into her feelings. Obviously she has a lot of room for growth, and that's exactly what makes her interesting.

Jeff

Man there sure is a lot of rational thought in these comments for an irrational scene. Yall this wasn't conversation, this was shock talk. Ain't nobody thinkin, just pure feeling and grief. Cornered animals swinging best they can at what they can to try to save themselves from what their body is experiencing. If you're judging either person even remotely then you are not understanding the scene.

Carrie Love

I get Jack is grieving but that was so wrong of him to blame Robby. Robby literally kept going even though he knew she wasn’t coming back.

roguegabe

Everybody LOCKED IN this episode on the fly. Can appreciate thinking in the spur of the moment

Yazeed

Yo I swear that Jake guy should not be an actor because why is he ruining this great episode by his mediocre acting

Ekko08

This episode was just devastating, seeing all of these people injured and knowing those who could be saved now have to live with this event in their minds is heartbreaking. Robby's breakdown nearly got me, and it makes sense. You save so many lives, but the deaths are what you remember

Raider

Heavy episode…

Kris Barnes

Good to see Dr Robby breaking down. That was so heartbreaking but god great scene. This show is an 11/10 man
