Aangs master was a G, the only body still at the temple surrounded by dead Fire Nation scum lol he put in some work! Also for clarification what was that all about at the temple? Did he fully "awaken" or something along those lines?

Old Lupa is kind of hard to handle. Bro cracks jokes after EVERY thing. He's a lot better now but damn he's a bit much in these old reactions.

anyone else noticed Commander Zhao's earthbending stance during the Agni kai

Markus Bryant

I just noticed that Zuko is fighting up in experience. But he's also fighting up in weight class. Zhao probably got like 20-30lb on him. Blow for blow, Zhao has more force behind his hits than Zuko can put out. And Zuko has less tanking ability than Zhao does. Interesting

Yeah, but firebending comes from the breath not the muscles.

Zhao also has control issues...but that will be discussed at a later time! Not gunna spoil anything here! Just know that they do a good job on explaining it....if you guys have already seen it...you know.

23:25 I just realized that while Momo, Abba and Aang are the "last" of their kind so is Sokka and Katara. She is the last waterbender in the south pole and Sokka was the last fighter in the south pole

Yes, firebending comes from the breath but that doesn't mean that muscles don't have any effect on what you can do. If you look at episode one when Zuko is training on the ship. He uses mostly his muscles instead of his breath we know that because Iroh told us that in episode one. During the training, the soldiers he trained with were able to stop his attacks. The moment Zuko said he needed more than the basics the soldier couldn't stop his attack. You can see in the move he made that he used a lot of muscle power. So I think that scene shows us that even though fire bending comes from the breath, muscles, and emotions have an influence on it.

He didn't awaken. Him glowing like that triggered that room in the temple, which triggered the other temples you saw. Can't say more because I don't want to spoil anything.

Zuko has some of the best character development in american media hands down

Dude who voices Commander Zhao is Jason Isaacs, the guy who played Lucius Malfoy (Draco Malfoy's dad) in the Harry Potter movies. And man oh man does he manage to make you hate this bastard.

Nick Heiney

This nigga with the glasses needs to stfu when the characters are talking about stuff.

Lot of interesting and famous actors surprisingly have VA roles in Avatar. I won’t say who else to save the surprise, but I wonder if they’ll notice a few of the big ones

this is the first comment I see after subbing to the patreon 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Fun fact Jason Isaacs plays Zhao. He's the one who played Draco's father, Lucius Malfoy, in Harry Potter. He also played Captain Hook in 2003 Peter Pan. The voice actor for the Fire Lord, Ozai, is Mark Hamill who played Luke Skywalker and who's been the voice actor for Joker since the 90's. The voice actor who has played Robin in Teen Titans plays a few side charactes in this show. And the voice actress for Catwoman and Thorn from Scooby Doo, amongst others, plays Azula, Zuko's sister.

J Valentine

Don't remember if it was in the commentary or elsewhere but the creators discussed the dropped subplot that Momo was supposed to be the reincarnation of Monk Gyatso, Aang's guardian. Which is why he seems to be almost supernaturally smart and immediately dedicated to Aang. Eventually they just left him as a simple animal but for a good portion of this first season you can see the strings in Momo's actions and how they could be read as an old friend trying to help out even if he can only do so as a pet.

Love the Lion King 2 reference at the end lol. 😎 It's funny cause there were so many "Not one of us" amvs for Zuko at one point lol.

Ougi

thats crazy so monk gyatso was like 'we pacifists...but ima body yall anyway'
