The best part about HxH battles is that even at a high level, you still see your basic nen skills usage. For example, Feitan's Kou backfiring was exactly what Biscuit taught Gon and Killua back in Greed Island. Focusing all of your aura at one point is too risky for the most part. This "Queen" was legit pretty skilled in her aura usage, it's too bad she picked the wrong opponent.

Notice how Feitan pulled off the same Rhythm Echo skill that the Zoldycks use? Remember that people in the Meteor City at times develop that same skill naturally. This was mentioned all the way back when Canary was first introduced in her flashback episode.

Yeah but Rhythm Echo isn't a Nen ability. It's something anyone can be trained to learn, it's just a skill. People don't just naturally develop that, Netero even said it's a skill those in the underground learn so it's not even a Zoldyck specific skill.

Episodes like this really put the power of the chimera ants into perspective especially since they are all relatively new to using nen. I'd consider all troupe members to be nen masters except for a few who are around for their abilities like Kortopi, Shalnark, and Shizuku. Just looking at Zazan who is just a squadron leader we can see that she is probably right under the power level of a nen master. If she was fighting Shizuku, Shal, or Kalluto she probably would have won. It really makes the royal guard and king feel that much more imposing.

Yooooo, i marathoned all 93 episode reactions the last 3 or so days. Finished watching episode 93 episode today. i come back home and i see four more Hunter x Hunter videos. I am sooo thrilled. Thank you, Roshi.

Roshi, Kalluto Zoldyck is a boy. There is a relatively common misconception that Kalluto is female because of his clothes and delicate appearance, but Kalluto is a boy: Kalluto has referred to himself using the normally masculine pronoun boku (ぼく or 僕) multiple times. His older brother Milluki Zoldyck calls him younger brother (弟).

The Phantom Troupe are far and away my favorite enemy faction in all of anime. Bunch of nasty powerful motherfuckers but whom you can tell have strong bonds. I love the teasing at the end and the fact that Phinks gave up his gown to Shizuku so she could cover up.

Ahh man I love these 2 episodes it's so smart to use the Lower chimera ants to show power leveling and further develop the troupe

Man Feitan just needed to warm up a bit 😂 Only problem I had is I wish they showed Nobunaga in these two eps as well. Felt like we didn't get enough combat from him during the YorkNew City arc, especially since he's more of a 1v1 fighter. Just a nitpick tho 🔥 either way 💯

Canary didn't exactly develop Rhythm Echo through intensive training though. People outside of Meteor City may not lead lives that would lead to the natural development of Rhythm Echo, but surely those who live the lives of scavengers would.

Did you notice? The queen was vain of her beauty, "sexy stinger" etc. And when her beauty was marred by Feitan, she sacrificed it all for power, ripping off the afore named stinger as symbolic of that. She got enough power to take zero damage from Feitan' s Ko. If Feitan didn't have Pain Packer he'd probably have been whittled down to death.

Yeah, HxH has some crazy nen abilities. You can see he took some inspiration from Jojo Hamon and Stands. Feitan is a problem. The more damage he takes, the stronger his Pain Packer becomes. This one was THE SUN (remember that Jojo Sun standv in the desert?), what other forms does he have?

HXH was definitely inspired by the creativity of JoJo's powers but I consider Nen the superior power system simply because it has a clear set of rules that are open ended as well as balanced. JoJo's power system is basically random superpowers (creatively applied) combined with Pokemon.

it's been confirmed numerous times in handbooks that phinks is by far the most powerful out of all of them since Uvo is gone. you can use how much they struggled or lack there of vs the lowly solider ants and a mere captain to judge their power level... they are actually pretty weak compared to some of the major players in this arc. People got this weird fantasy that if troupe showed up to the king fight they woulda beat him or any of the guard... they wouldn't.. they would be chewed up and spit out.

Phinks is the most physically powerful, not necessarily most powerful. I'm not sure what the long exposition about Spiders < Ants was about. I never started the topic? Chrollo vs Meruem would have been an insanely interesting fight, though.

Feitan is my favourite troupe member and my favorite character in the show beating out Killua, Gon, and Hisoka. i love everything about him from his design, his calm soothing but eerie voice, the zero fucks given with his expressions and dialogue. The icing on the cake is his face when he and Shal were making fun of Phinks. I love Phinks, Shal, and Machi but the Troupe Trophy goes to my boy Feitan
