Spike would be completely frozen too once he left the ship since space is also cold as fuck

That's not how heat transfer works. Space isn't a cold -fluid-, so you shouldn't think of it that way. You'd lose some heat due to infrared radiation, but without low-energy particles to take the energy from your high-energy particles, you might as well be insulated. The bottom line: lacking heat is not the same as being cold, at least not in the sense you'd normally think about the cold. There isn't cold MATTER in space to actually freeze you. By the way, the "air pressure" wouldn't NORMALLY have killed him, either. I say "normally" because he made the incredibly stupid decision to plug his ears and hold his breath, the exact opposite of what you should do. You need to let the air OUT. Think of the effect of rising too quickly while scuba diving only far worse. Although the most painful part would likely be that, with him keeping his eyes open for sight, the moisture covering his eyes would've boiled pretty much instantly (boiling and freezing points decrease as pressure decreases, so it's impossible for water to remain as a liquid, much less freeze, in space unless there's a lot of it, plus dust for it to condense on in the first place, enough to form a gravitational field, as in a comet). If he EXHALED as he was leaving, he would've been in bad shape, but he could've survived as long as he was rescued within about 90 seconds. P.S. So... how does an obviously gunpowder-powered firearm work in space?
