My biggest issue with this season is there's never a sense of urgency. why were they walking when they should've been running.

Shaw

Part 4 is just us yelling at Jotaro to use ZA WARUDO! The author fucked up by including Jotaro in this Season

Dry Lyo

Lol, love the reaction at Okuyasu being taken.

Something i just thought about while watching. Isnt The Hand supposed to erase and then close up the space it erased? Why did the ground stay open?

Well, I think that Jotaro was a fine addition to the cast of part 4. I think Araki messed up by not emphasizing the shorter duration for time stop until right after this. Jotaro mentions that he was only able to stop time for half of a second during his fight with Josuke.

Hypemaster

how is that plot convenience

Because Araki needed a reason for Red Hot Chili Pepper to get away. Had the space closed up like it was supposed to, RHCP and Akira would be dead. As you go through this part, pay close attention to The Hand. Its ability tends to fluctuate from time to time.

LMAO ROSHI! "Ya niggas suck!!!" after Okuyasu got sucked in with red hot chilli pepper hahahaha. The frustration was real lol

That trope of the distance not closing for so long between the help running and a character in a pinch. XD

I rather enjoyed this season. It would NOT have been enjoyable if Jotaro was able to just Za Warudo his way through everything, and the new characters didn't get a chance to show their stuff. The little time it can stop is only useful in certain situations, so it would be a waste for him to use it all the time. Imo that's a good thing for the sake of the development of other characters.

I think that there are probably limits to the hand. if he erased part of the earth, would the ground nearby just move to "fill in the hole" or would that shift the entire town of morioh just a tiny bit since it's one singular object of land? I think it makes sense for something like the sign in the josuke vs Okuyasu that is one singular object of normal size to "zip back together" but not the earth since it's one huge solid object and he only erased a tiny fraction of it

if it helps you visualize it, think about this: in the josuke vs okuyasu fight, what if okuyasu only erased the top corner/tip of the sign instead of erasing the middle section from top to bottom? would anything "fill in the gap"?

Eh by that logic he should have erased the entire gate and not just the sign. The only other explanation I could think of would be they can control the effectiveness of the stand which would have to be the case because 90% of the time when they use their stands especially in this part the situation always changes something different. I don't really want to make that assumption since it was never explained but it feels like it I guess another name for that would be a retcon, plot convience, or asspull

side note but we see a number of stand users control the strength (power emitted) and effectiveness (controlling the range of their ability's impact) of their stand. esp bc it's linked to their life energy (magicians red, oasis, etc)?? ofc there are counterexamples where a power is just "on or off" e.g CREAM, aerosmith, etc

The one thing I hate about jojo, everyone watches then tries to do something when it's to late. But then again talking is basically a free action.

I know it’s for the plot but it’s still so extremely frustrating when everyone just stands around and watches while a friend gets hurt badly or even murdered. Like Roshi said they suck 😂. Edit: Especially Jotaro, this guy’s supposed to be the most experienced in the group but still sucked
