I think there was a fan theory about Josuke traveling back in time and pushing the car himself. It sounds more than believable but they never confirmed if it was or not I believe.

No, Araki did confirm in an interview that the guy who saved Josuke was just a random high schooler that represents the golden heart of Morioh, he never meant for people to think it was Josuke going back in time.

The Flashback is a plothole. It was meant to be a plot point that Araki was later going to incorporate into a "certain" stand but he gave up on it. lol

No, no, you guys are wrong, the manga explains it more thoroughly, the flashback is told from koichis perspective, all he knows is it was a man in the same jacket and josukes hair cut, so of course it’s going to look like josuke, with the face blurred out, because koi chi didn’t know what his face looked like.

Also the guy that save josuke's life is not josuke in the future. It's just a random stranger showing a random act of kindness which taught josuke kindness in his life. They say josuke looks like the stranger because he admires him so much that he didn't just copy his hairstyle but his clothing too.

It might just be that because Koichi was telling the story. So from his perspective "looking like Josuke" is taken literally since he doesn't know to what extent Josuke took after the look of the guy.

That guy who pushed the car was a random good Samaritan, and thus Josuke became the kind person that he is. He just styled himself to look as close to his hero as possible.
