To be fair, 4 in Japanese (and I think in Chinese as well?) is "shi", which is the same pronunciation for death (死), so 4 is usually read as its alternative pronunciation, "yon". It's considered an unlucky number due to that, so I think that's the idea behind Mista's superstition. I don't know much about Italian culture, though, so maybe there's something there too. Too bad, what with 4 being my favorite number and all.

ALL of the stand names in this AND part 4 were either band names, artists, track names, compilations, or album names (or, as in the case of The Hand, puns on one of those). Gold Experience is the name of an album while Crazy Diamond is the name of a box set of albums that is named for a song "Shine On You Crazy Diamond." Many character names are also puntastic references to artists.
