About the soul eater reference from last week, it's not in the same universe only cause when the dude in the club talks about his daughter he called her Makami instead of Maka and they called him Scythe-san instead of Death scythe-san

The way the 8th just abandoned Maki was tough to watch for me. She was literally the first person The captain and lieutenant recruited and they didn't want to hear anything about her staying or what she wanted to do. I understand where the general was coming from but the captain and lieutenant's response surprised me.

I want to believe there was a reason why Hinawa said what he did. I feel like there's gotta be something there, other than trying to protect her and whatnot. Idk, maybe they felt some kind of way, because this man was really worried about his daughter, maybe they didn't want to risk antagonizing him too much, idk. I'm hoping we'll get some insight into Hinawa and Obi's thought process next ep.

All the talk about the eighth being family and looking out for each other seems like just talk now to me. It was clear that Maki looks up to and respects both them mfs and they kicked her out. She was ready to flat refuse the request return to military and Hinawa just 'go back to being daddy girl'. There's no point staying with people who don't respect you, and that's what the actions of this episode portray. If they so worried bout members safety they need to get rid of tamaki, sister, and the engineer. Hell Maki could take out any1 of them besides shinra in a fight. Hinawa and Obi trash, which pains me to say cuz I really liked them both. But they trash for this

I disagree with them being trash. They both obviously wanted her to say but ultimately there would've most likely been some unwanted consequences from her not going. Plus we can already see that her dad thinks hinawa lied to her about what the job entailed to get her onboard so if they just said "fuck that letter" her dad could possibly have disbanded the whole 8th. I mean I'm not sure if he has that much pull but I'm sure he could have that happen.
