Gobta was named by Rimuru, Rigurd had two sons one which was named Rigur by Gelmud who was killed by the direwolves, Rimuru then gave Rigurd’s other son the same name and gave him the same name as well just with a “d” at the end.

One of the personal gripes I have with Slime is that when it comes to the whole "names = evolution" thing, it more often than not makes the monsters appear more human (and fuckable). I mean, as sexy Shion is, I would've preferred it if Kijin looked MORE monstrous compared to Ogres.

I know the reply is late but the monsters that Rimuru names assume near human form as they evolve is because of Rimuru's love for humans (since he hasn't forgotten that he was a human before). He himself told them that during the arc where Clayman makes his move.
