Refreshed at the right time fuck you call of duty my nigga Roshi posted

Alright y'all, just subbed and wanted to get in early for 3 Haikyuu disclaimers/reminders so this season doesn't give y'all a stroke (nothing spoilery, all stuff you know or have seen from episodes to this point): 1.) I personally think Ushiwaka has some form of autism. Anti-social to an extent, doesn't understand jokes, takes sarcasm seriously, hyper focused on one thing, seems almost robotic at times, etc. I just bring it up because I think people think he's an arrogant asshole, when in reality I think he's showing strong signs of being on the spectrum. I think Tendou (spiky red hair) knows this and it's why he's always explaining things to Ushi in the show. 2.) Remember Superbad? This is a reminder that McLovin, Jonah Hill, and the other one were all SENIORS in high school in that movie. Asahi = Jonah Hill, can't tell if he's 14 or 40. McLovin = Sawamura, goofy but smart. Daichi = the other one, keeps the other two together and is present. These kids are drawn like college kids, but they're still gangly high schoolers, and Hinata, Kageyama, Tsukki and the Gooch are all 2 years YOUNGER than that. Boys ain't even got a full set of ball hair yet, so they're growing when it comes to stuff like reading defenses and getting over their nerves. Especially Hinata who's only really been playing/learning about competetive volleyball for like, 3-4 months. 3.) Karasuno's defense is shit. They know that, their coach knows that, and other teams know it. Aside from Daichi and Nishinoya, their ability to receive is, at best, slightly below average. The reason they're successful is because they lean into it and say fuck it, let's just attack until we win or die trying, while using creativity to mask their defensive holes. Think of it this way: Most other teams are a sword, but Karasuno's a spear (and Hinata's the orange tuft at the end, distracting people just enough to help you stab 'em). They're not as well rounded as a sword, and their defense is flimsy, but they have better range. Mix that with their scrappiness, never-say-die attitude, and willingness to try new things, and they're surprisingly strong. But if you get past the tip of that spear, they're fucked, i.e. weak defense. That's why teams are surprised when they do stuff like a 4-man synchronized attack. It's insanely reckless, because if you don't score then you sold out on offense and left almost nobody to defend. But Karasuno can win because they'll try crazy shit like that when other teams won't (but that's mainly because other teams don't have to). Anyway, don't even know if y'all will read this, but wanted to put it out there to help you enjoy your viewing experience more (or less, idfk).

A whole season bro, A WHOLE SEASON!! building this mofo just for this moment, shiiid! I get goosebumps every time I see this, Character development at his finest 👌🏽👌🏽🤫🔥

Devin B

They were really setting up his development since S2 for this one moment for him to be hooked on volleyball and it was worth it

Devin B

I really don't know who has the better character development Tsukki or Zuko

cassherms

That Haikyu essay. 🤪🤡🤡 TSUKKI’S development a worth of 2 frickin seasons!

KS Neelesh

I dont understand why people say ushijima is an asshole. What did he do?🤣 this guy plays for Japan U-19 hes the top three spikes in the country hes won three championships in a row, ffs the guy is allowed to be confident. Hes competitive otherwise what's the point if you dont want to be the best in the sport ure playing at?Hes just got faith in himself and his team which you need as a player otherwise ure not going to get as good as him. Michael Jordan was confident cuz he won championships like COME on🤣🤣. Imagine you being a guy whose one of the best players in the country and all of a sudden some no name first year tries to talk shit to you. Ud be like Who TF is this guy?

Valhalla

Word!!! In my case I love Ushiwaka he’s a fucking cheatcode as a player of how good it is 💪🏽💪🏽🔥🔥

KS Neelesh

also when ushijima says that "I hate confidence that has no basis" all he means is that hes a player who has worked hard to improve his skills all of it not just spiking, receiving, serving everything. Hinata is a player who's only just started the guy is only good at spiking hes trash at everything else and he needs to improve himself. All he meant is that for one to be so confident he needs to be able to do everything not just be a player that's only good at one thing otherwise ure not going to improve as a player.

Devin B

I think it's cause of how much people like Hinata and how often we see his epic moments that they tend to forget that as a volleyball player he has some flaws when it comes to basic techniques and experience.

KS Neelesh

Exactly it's the exact reason why ushijima respects Oikawa because he himself knows how good oikawa is and is the best setter in the prefecture. Oikawa makes everyone on his team great that's why ushijima respects him hes an all round player that even ushijima wanted on his team because he recognizes how good he is.

Don A.

The Tsukki moment reaction is so priceless haha

Infinite Ree

The episode when Tsukki became One Touch Man 😌

Anonymous

love y'all <3

Taliesin Martos

19:36 he did scream lupa, you were too busy laughing and screaming to hear his epic ass yell, after he threw his fist in the air.

Damion Middleton

Tsukii: *blocks one of the best spikers in Japan. Karasuno: *silence Tsukii: *Shows emotion* Karasuno: REAL SHIT?!?!

Damion Middleton

No matter how many times I’ve seen this episode, I’ll get Hyped while tearing up. GOATED moment!

allmight_stan

My heart still accelerates this episode even when I've watched it a 100 times lol. The high pace struggle for 2 points and the wonderful payoff plot wise and backstory wise always gets me. Tsukki did good and finally got his hooked moment, hats off to him!!

Bhuwanake Manukulasuriya

Seriously, why do Sheera, Roshi and Lupa all hate Ushijima? LOL Y'all are being petty af to someone who has earned the right to speak HONESTLY because he's won so much

Nikki C

TSUUUUUKIIIIIII!!!

KS Neelesh

Exactly. The guys is just confident in his team and himself. If your not going to be confident then what's the point?🤣 theres a reason why he plays for the Japan under 19 team, hes the top three spikes in the country and hes won three championships in a row for his team. Michael jordan became the GOAT cuz he was confident and he won championships if some rookie player tries to talk shit to him u think hes gonna like it? Of course we all want karasuno to win and hinata to win but hinata is still a rookie first year he sucks at everything except spiking. Ushijimais third year who has developed into a complete player good at everything not just spiking so if some rookie first year with no background experience, who's won nothing, who's got no background or clout to backup his talk, whos terrible at everything but spiking tries to talk shit to you of course he has a right to be confident.

botanbutton

I don't think Tsukki was second-guessing himself at all this whole match. He was thinking the whole time.

Lychee

Rewatching this scene made me cry again.

Sunshine Hall

He said "The optimal settings for slamming this 30 yr olds recieves is to cause the chaos, wade in it, and wait for this bangs bitch to mess up" Lol Shirabu was fucking pissed.

DevilMayCarter

Surprised Roshi didn't make a "We Be Steady Mobbin" reference!

Cablemonkey

I’m watching this with headphones on and my wife still knew when tsukki’s moment came just from how crazy my breathing got when it happened 🤣

J. J.

Animation in this episode was unreal, the cut on Tsukkis face when he sees the set was insane. Then there's S4.

Andee80

Did I just cry on accident ..... Sheesh, I love this shit!

VlSch

Lupa and Sheera must be clapped, permanently

Kaeldra3

The character building <3

peak

Haikyuu has no "bad guys". At least try to be more understanding of characters like Oikawa and Ushijima, before calling them a dick or an a-hole. This is why everyone complains when you guys do this stuff lol. Much love though I love the reactions, keep it up.

Mr. Toastman

why does that scene give me shivers every single time

TrackHoodie

It's ok guys. Even though our roshi fam here may not be the perfect Haikyu reactors, you can always go revisit Ayolaxxzone's Haikyu reactions :)

Reign

its the diff between normies and people who actually compete you can't really blame them lot of people think and act like this have you ever watched soccer/football fans react to things lmaoo

Reign

you know watching this back its actually crazy tanaka is the only one who doesn't struggle and scores majority of their points but yall know later on what happens and the fact he didn't get picked over who did kinda annoys me now.

Stephanie Chavez Avalos

Baki Baki ni ore, Nani wo? Kokoro wo da yo〜 Konagona ni kudake, Nani wo? Seishin wo da yo〜 Tendou Satori, Haikyuu

Phil Astar

That is one of my favorite moments in this show. Tsukki is one of my favorite characters.

LJ

Watching this season back makes me realize just how much better Ushiwaka is compared to his other teammates. Homeboy put the team on his back for 3 years.

Matthew Elijah Brown

I’m not going to say there’s any one way someone should react to something; everyone is different. Haikyuu is definitely written to draw empathy for people on pretty much any team. Even teams that are characterized as punks like the team Karasuno beat early in the qualifiers or, if they watch the movies, Nohebi are given moments to humanize them and make you understand them as competitive more than villainous. To this point, from a writing standpoint, Aoba Johsai and Shiratorizawa, even in a small sense Dateko, have been given purposefully villainous roles, but the author is good at showing them as people as well. Showing the respect given to Hinata from Aone (Dateko) and how their third years react and come back to support their juniors despite no longer being on the team. With Seijoh, you get two particularly nasty players in Kyotani and Oikawa that get their own special music and symbolize a kind of boss encounter scenario, but both of them have very human backstories that show them more as highly devoted to the sport and frustrated at their previous failures. Oikawa’s rivalry with both Ushijima and Kageyama is a bit more pointed and problematic, but they stem from a point of his own weakness. Shiratorizawa is definitely the most “boss level” team Karasuno has gone up against, and characters like Ushijima and Tendou are set up to antagonize Karasuno. Ushijima does say some things that are pretty shitty about Aoba Johsai and Karasuno, but he doesn’t say them to be an asshole or to rile anyone up. He just is confident in himself and his team, and is stating things as more of a matter of fact based in his experiences than being cocky. Oikawa and Iwaizumi even comment on it in season 2 when they tell Ushijima they’ll

Matthew Elijah Brown

Be going to nationals this year. Ushijima responds by saying “but only one team can make it to nationals”. They remark its worse because he’s not even saying it to be mean, he just believes it to be a statement of fact. I’d say, if anything, the thing that irks me more than making villains out of every team just because they are a problem for Karasuno is the lack of appreciation for the dramatic timing and scenarios this show puts you through. Roshi gets it a fair amount, but there are times the entire couch is up in arms at every little action that happens on the court and it hampers their understanding of what is happening. Any time Shiratorizawa even touches the ball they think the world is ending and any time Karasuno doesn’t it’s always somebody’s fault. It is a game and they have a right to be like fans at a game and cheer for the team they like. It just seems like they don’t separate that before it is a game, it is also a written show that follows a story, and even when the team doesn’t do well, it is almost always done for a reason: to build anticipation, to give hype to a player on one side or the other, or to show that things don’t alway go the way you want them to like in real life. I have to acknowledge that I also appreciate certain things much more than my friends and many people I watch online. I absolutely love when a villain (or opposing team) does something spectacular or sneaky or downright terrifying to get ahead. It’s not because I don’t want our team to win or I think every story where the hero makes a comeback is just the best thing ever. I just appreciate when a villain is worth watching. Some of my favorite moments that I watch over and over again are when something bad happens or when the villains take out an important character because these things become obstacles for the characters to overcome, but that’s just me.

TyyT

TSUKKI YEEHSIRRRRRRRRRRRRRR MY BOY FILLT DAT BAG UP WIT DA WANCHIS THEN ENDED IT 😤😤😤

Austin S

facts 😭 every reactor always screams over that part lmaooo the yell gets you even more hype smh

veryohno

if wakatoshis an asshole you need some mental strengthening

LateVibes

If folks don't like the way they react, they can simply 💫 unsubscribe 💫 Why stay and pay if u just gon complain?

LateVibes

Anyways the old guy in the hat yall keep seeing in the stands is important in a way because he's one of their fans who's been watching them since they were a powerhouses school and is one of the very few who still kept coming to games even after they descended into a fallen powerhouse. He's pretty much witness their glory, fall from glory and rise back up to glory

Arindam Pani

Watch Death Note after you guys are done with this. One of the best anime's ever

Kanta

it's good but definitely not one of the best ever

Thalia Thamsir

I join patreon for the first time only to see them react to this eps

KimKaiRen

Omg u guys get me so hype I swear 👏👏

Temeculous

They Mob other birds? That's fowl bro.

Zi Liu

So late to this reaction, I agree with the comments, I have no idea why Ushijima is an a-hole..? Lol, I find everything that Ushijima said to be just...the truth. Even Oikawa said himself, Ushijima doesn't say things to purposely to upset others but he base his opinons on facts. I also don't understand why he needs to be humbled, I think Ushijima is actually quite a humble player, he recognizes talented players, and he works his ass off himself to be the best. He is confident because of what he has achieved, while Karasuno simply does not have the record to stand up to Shiratorizawa at this point, of course Karasuno has to prove themselves first, else is just gonna be empty words. What Ushijima is saying are all true. And I certainly appreciate Ushijima as a player, and a captain that has lead his team to 3 straight championships.

christian thomas

Right now Ushijima is kinda being an a-hole to people who have not seen more of the anime, the end of this season and season 4 gives some insight of why he feels so uneasy around Hinata, though I think the manga gives even more insight then the anime IMO. You just have to let people continue watching and form their own opinions without spoilers.
