Man. We're almost there, huh? Don't any of you dare spoil the rest of this season.

2Ker

True, I watched this show in two days, S1 and the next day S2. The end of the seasons were heart-attack material.

Seven of Spades

So two thing 1. Prince schneizel was the one who pre-approved Euphy's plan 2. its actually pretty common and "normal" for monarchies to keep their love life in the family

Jerr Carr

Pretty sure yall got this, but just to clarify: Lelouch is saying that no matter what choice he makes regarding the Special Zone, it's a lose-lose. If they side against it, it's as if they are against the idea of reforming Japan, and against the Japanese who are in favor of the zone. If they support the zone, they're only getting scraps, or like Sheera said, a little portion of Japan

Zeiss

Remember, Shneizel approved of that idea. She isn't doing this all alone.

Hughjass

Guys theres a new opening for 24 & 25. Hope you dont skip it. Also clown shoes lmaooo

Viela Guay

Also the fact that euphy and especially nunnally were super young at that time period so it's along the lines of little kids "playing house"

DogBless

Cornelia going WTF IS THIS is so on point

Zhehao

the fuckery that is to come

Jacob Wolf

Super excited for next 5 episodes, dudes, when you hit season 2, dont watch the intro until at least episode 3 or be prepared for big spoiler

Danny

Euphemia doesn't have much power since she's never been involved in the politics before but Schneizel approved of it, so unless the Emperor himself challenges this, then it actually will go through. Of course, you can change the law but people's hearts are different. It won't be easy for the regular citizens to change but we see time and time again that even among Britannians, there are people who see past the discrimination (such as the studnet council minus nina) so it's not impossible. Euphy's idea was simply not Lelouch's plan. Lelouch's plan was to wipe out Britannia altogether. He didn't care too much about the freedom of other countries, his fight against Britannia was personal and obviously by destroying the empire, he and his sister can live freely. So Euphy's plan completely screws him over (unintentionally ofc, although schneizel agreed to this plan precisely because he knew the effect it would have) but Euphy's intentions are good and that I think someone in her position, this was probably the best move they could have done.

kai

“Quick Slip under my dress” LMFAOOOO😭

haywood banks

Its barely mentioned but Schneizel is the whole Prime Minister, he runs the Britannian government in the name of the emperor as well as the 2nd Prince of Britannia and he supports the Zone so like someone said above the only person above him is the emperor, and technically the 1st Prince but we haven't seen or heard from him yet. As long as Schneizel supports this and the emperor continues to not give a shit, as he's done all show, this is totally happening and there's no one alive who can stop it.

Artem Kondratev

yo, sir, be careful what you are wishing for.

Leaky Peach

Lmao! This was "six degrees of separation" the episode

J. J.

Man, are you guys not minorities as well? How do you know not understand why Suzuku is having the influence he has on the MINORITY population of this country? They're seeing one of them rise through the ranks, giving them hope about their positions as well. You guys seem very narrow minded on this and completely miss the mark about breaking barriers..

J. J.

Wait, you guys are against giving people equality and basic human rights back? Wtf? You guys do understand Lelouch is mad because he IS a terrorist right? He doesn't give a fuck about Elevens, they're essentially pawns he can use against Britannia because their oppression is easy motive for him to manipulate. He's mad because Euphy just took that away.

Anonymous

bro, chill, you're not completely bias free either. meanwhile, tell me what college degree you got, since it gave you the rights to tell a MINORITY!!! what to think for themselves

billy

everyone is saying this, but DONT WATCH SEASON 2 INTRO. enormous spoilers

Jason Lupas

I'm pretty sure other have pointed it out already , but Lelouch is angry at Euphemias's proposition is because it essentially makes the Black Knights Obsolete . Dont forget he is doing this not because he wants to free the japanese but to exact revenge . So he either joins euphy and lose the black knights or oppose it and lose the trust and support of the japanese . Thats why when people bring up suzaku being a hypocrite they forget to mention lelouch is too

Kaz Z.

If Lelouch stopped going to school and revealed he is part of the Black Knights, it would put Nunally at risk. I think it is her safety that he is most concerned about. Suzaku would be the least of his worries at that point. Also, Lelouch mentioned it a couple of times that he is doing this all for Nunally so bringing her into the chaos defeats that purpose.

Kaz Z.

I get what you're saying and it is totally fair. However, given the nature of their country.. I cant quite agree about them being narrow minded. Britannia blatantly commits genocide and treats all those they conquered as secondary citizens. Sure some of the Japanese can become "Honorary" Britanians it can't dismiss all the atrocities they cause. Think about it, if you were a minority, not your people are treated as second class citizen but are at the risk of genocide at the whim of your oppressor. Then you see someone like you who sudden rise in rank wagging his tail to your oppressor. I don't know about you but Id see that guy as a traitor to his people.

Tim Kane

No offense, but it comes off as presumptuous to say "You're an x, so why don't you think this?". Even in universe, its shown that people can interpret Suzaku as an example of social mobility or as an Uncle Tom doing PR for an oppressor. So who are you to say that someone needs to think this way or another

J. J.

It's not hard to use a brain when watching a show, it's sad when people are too stupid to actually see the reasons why this show is good and just hur dur the protagonist is always right.

Kaz Z.

Pretty sure you took that too far. They not against giving people equality and basic rights. Roshi and the crew are just skeptical of the means and of the people giving them those rights. Britannia's oppression isn't just the typical racist, misogynistic, can't vote kind of oppression. They are literally committing mass genocide.(IE. Shinjuku, and that place Cornelia massacred to get to Zero) I'm not saying that Lelouch's goals and means are justified but to Japanese in this reality would see him as a hero rather than a terrorist.

J. J.

If you can't see from both perspectives, you're narrow minded. They don't have to agree with the ideology of social mobility but to not see how it works in comparison to terrorism is embarassing. The payoff of this show is neither ideas will work without compromise.

Devin B

To be fair they've seen the shit that Suzaku has to deal with while trying to create change from the inside. Britannians keep belittling him despite him rising in the ranks, and the military takes advantage of him when they get the opportunity to do so. Even when he does good for them all they see him as is an Eleven. So it's not that they don't agree with social mobility but it's the fact that they've seen some of the results of him using his ideology and all he's done is make enemies with the Britannians that disapproves of his status and some Japanese calling him as traitor to his race. Even though he might inspire a few Japanese to do better it's still a little to be gained for everything Britannia is doing to him. So I can't call these guys narrow-minded since they've been seeing firsthand how his path is going.

J. J.

It's the same in real life though, pioneers of social mobility face discrimination from their some of their peers as well as criticism from some their own people but pave the path for equality. How exactly do you think the early days of multi cultural societies were? Sunshine's and raindows?

hokeypokey

'I'm busy trying to run a school festival and coup d'etat' is such a great line.

Devin B

Bro obviously not but like you said "pioneers" as in more than one person has attempted the idea of social mobility instead of resorting to violence for change. Suzaku is the only person fighting using that ideology so of course it's gonna seem like it's a hopeless venture compared to becoming a terrorist and forcing change. If more people were to follow in his footsteps then it might not seem like a lost cause but Britannia would just put a stop to it if they saw that it would threaten their livelihood and just continue doing what they're doing. Also another reason multicultural societies were formed was cause both cultures had individuals that had a desire to coexist but Britannia barely has people that think like that and the few Britannians that do want to coexist like Euphy doesn't have the power to actually change anything so that makes social mobility seem even more hopeless. Not saying it's pointless but against Britannia it kinda looks like it is.

None None

I don't even think the issue is that they're getting scraps. Britannia obviously can't de-occupy the country at this point since so much of the population is western. Giving them their own land so they don't have to live in the ghetto is a good first step (and Shizaku's been making Britannians go "hey, maybe 11s aren't so bad"). It's not much, but it's a HUGE first step toward getting the 11s and Britannians to co-exist peacefully. Lelouche is just mad because he doesn't actually care about any of this. He just wants to kill his daddy under the pretense of liberation.

peak

people in the comments are doing the same thing they did with Yamaguchi in Haikyu. I get that you guys are excited (and I'm excited too) but when you're hinting at something to come, it's kind of a spoiler for them.

Alex

people in the comments with your "subtle" spoilers are so fucking annoying, can you really just not help yourself that much? "bUt iM nOt tElLiNg tHeM wHaT hApPeNs cHiLl bRo"

Alex

Alex bro just wait until next episode, you're gonna see what I mean!! I'm totally not inferring what's going to happen!!

Thamor

Time for the real shit show to start. These last episodes are wild...

XerBlade

Well... killing his daddy is A goal, but it's a secondary one. His primary goal is world peace so Nunnally will be happy. It's just his stated means of achieving world peace is "if one side wins, the fighting will end."

billy

schneizel, the most powerful man after the emperor (as we know of now) agreed to euphy's decision as yall saw in a small scene right before the festival started.

Jordan

They are angry because they want Lelouch and his Black Knights to achieve their human rights/equality their way. They are mad the same reason why Lelouch is mad 🤦‍♂️

MrNoor114

U guys were saying that why doesn't lelouch leave school. Cause he doesn't want to leave nully alone and targeted.

FragZone

Lmao they don't have nightmares, only daydreams. It surprises me that no one else laughed at Lupa's joke there lol

Runner Up

I think in Euphy's position she did the right thing. A small step is better than no step. If there's a zone where people are treated equally, eventually it will spread across Japan. Whether Lelouch should believe this to be the best possible solution is another issue, but as far as Euphy is concerned, I think she did something good, and something that no other Britannian in power has proposed. Anyways great reaction as usual!

Nana

^^Exactly so I don’t understand why people are dumbing his goal down to revenge

Nrock23

What show is Roshi watching now that he finished FMAB?

Marvs

Man the next few episodes can't come soon enough! SHT IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN!

Rene Sanchez

If you guys haven't already seen it you should watch Hajime no Ippo. Great anime about boxing so tons of action. Also I love your content!

Tan Vu

So chances are you might not have noticed this during the reaction.... but Milly (the student Prez) is from the Ashford family, Ashford is Lelouch's mom side of the family. So technically, Milly and Lelouch are cousins. BUT if you didn't notice so far, Milly likes Lelouch even though he is her cousin, but he never notices her like that. Secondly, when they showed the robot making the pizza, that robot belongs to the Ashford family cause it used to be piloted by his mom (Marianne the Flash), who was also an Ace pilot. So Lloyd wanted to marry Milly not because he likes her, but because he wants to get his hand on the base model knightmare (Pizza mecha) cause apparently it has technology that can help Lloyd improve the Lancelot.

Gabby Boakye-yiadom

Because in the beginning it is just a personal vendetta for revenge. Nunnally of course is his first priority but he doesn't go about the whole world peace goal until much later on when he reaches his epiphany and goes through his development. For now Lelouch wants to just get back at his father and take everything away from him for abandoning him and Nunnally.

XerBlade

You know, back when they had the "Lelouch's bride" conversation, they were small children. Kids that young talk about that kind of stuff all the time without really understanding any of it.

Jason Lupas

I dont think they are related . The ashford family were very close supporters of Marianne. So when Marianne died they had no one politically strong backing them anymore and thus them losing their family interests and reputation

Jason Lupas

Its always been a personal vendetta though . He even said it to C.C in one of the early episode . That even without Geass he was planning something . Geass just made his plans more achievable in a much shorter time .

J. J.

Marianne is not an Ashford.... they were family that supported her and developped her Knightmare which was famous in the past. They have a close connection with her which is why the took in Lelouch and Nunnally.

Ian Edwards

I wonder if it was a coincidence they made CC love pizza. like CCs pizza chain

John FD Lobrano

Speak for yourself, I grew up with two younger sisters and they NEVER talked about that stuff. The only boys my youngest sister ever had a crush on was Justin Bieber and Edward Cullen

XerBlade

That is so unlikely the chances might as well be Zero. Cicis doesn't exist outside of the USA. On top of that, Cicis back when this series aired barely had any locations, and they're STILL a really small chain. Even the less prolific fast-food giants dwarf Cicis by 40-50 times as many locations. The big ones by 80-100.

XerBlade

BTW, at the time that Lelouch and Nunnally were exiled to Japan, Nunnally and Euphy were 6 and 8 years old, respectively. Their exile happened early that year. The reminiscing happening here was likely referring to a time when they were even younger than that. [Lelouch was 9 at the time of his exile. Many sources, including the fan wiki (which--as is the case of all fan wikis--fans treat as gospel for some reason), state his age as 10. But those sources are your average idiots who just use the year-minus-year method of determining ages while ignoring the person's actual date of birth. Note that Lelouch's birthday is December 5th.]

Peter Uzoegwu

bro lol wtf my nigga said SHOOT HER lol wtf bro

関口信玄

Pretty sure that's exactly it, Viela. Honestly can't understand why that particular instance would be interpreted any other way tbh, just the way they talked about it was just looking back on it kinda gave it away that it was a little kids playing house vibe.

JsnSkg

Imo the biggest concern here is that okay, so things are chill for a while. But I doubt the Britannians are gonna put up with it for very long, and eventually there will be another war, and they'll be back to square one.

RavinFox .

Biggest tragedy in this episode was C.C. not being able to eat her pizza. Change my mind.

CRuEL_WOrlD

The tragedy of this episode is C.C. Not getting any pizza I like how Euphy smiles after her speech thinking shes done good xD

KimKaiRen

Damn comment section is heated. I do like how political this show can get but remember it's still fiction and only reflects the surface of any real world issues.

JD

I don't think I've ever seen Roshi say "awwww" and it was for CC missing out on pizza. This man only has sympathy for people missing out on food lmao

C-Bridge

Me and lupo were on the same page with a these anomalies

Tyler

Did no one catch that wild line from Lelouch, "Christ, this is getting r*******."
