Haikyu!! Season Four Episode 1: "The Pull-Up!"

Devin B

Hinata has definitely improved to the point that he doesn't need to depend on Kageyama as much as before but his individual capabilities aren't enough to put him on the level of above average players which is what Shiratorizawa's coach was basically saying.

Ky Williams

at this point hinata definitely couldnt mesh with any team

Kanta

I swear every Haikyuu OP is a banger Can't wait for them to hear Super Beaver (No that ain't a joke that's the band name)

It's still stupid to not invite him to the camp at Shiritorizawa. The point is to level up first years, and a player with less experience than Hinata was invited. If you want to level up first years, why wouldn't you invite Hinata?

The secondhand embarrassment I felt when Hinata showed up like that smh, that's my mc

Thalia Thamsir

Ohh lord i literally cried after 'that' scene because we know how hard was the training for hinata. I hope they respect my boi. Proud of him 🤧

Bry Chi

Keep in mind that as an all-around player Hinata is trash. His serve is trash, his receives are trash, his blocks are trash, and he still lacks a fundamental understanding of the game. He never got to properly practice or play in middle school until the very end when he managed to pull a team together but then to get folded by kageyama. Yes he is a beast, full of talent and potential but the boy needs so much work still. But all of that, just fuel to the fire lets fucking go Hinata.

Chibble

I love Hinata just as much as the next person, but he has a long way to go from this episode till he is "good overall". Just keep the belief in the boy though, he wont ever give up.

His offense is to good to be called a bad player though. Defense is bad while his offense is ridiculous so I put him comfortably at okay.

Mr. Toastman

I think a lot of people are tricked by the amazing animation into thinking that Hinata is a good volleyball player. He's terrible. He's a freak athlete, which allows Kageyama to use him effectively, but that comes at the cost of his own skill development. Ukai admits that he's partially to blame for that as well.

Mr. Toastman

They also redid this scene because it was like 3 years between season 3 and season 4

Was it really that long? If so, I’m glad I got into this anime late

Jesus, hes not terrible. he just lacks discipline and technique which the show points out many times

Stanley Labissiere

LOL I just realized Tsukki was about to say "boke" like Kageyama, realized it, and decided to call him "baka" instead XD
