One of my favorite things about this show is all the little bits they teach you about Ainu culture, that is so cool.

I mean, there are very little reactions to this as it is. I'm glad it's getting more exposure honestly. The studio really stepped it up in the later episodes! You can tell that they're really passionate about this series and want to deliver the best they can despite their limited staff and resources. I'd say this was a good choice since it's underrated too. I think they'll really enjoy it. It's certainly one of the more unique anime out there right now.

Be impressed that the author went so far as to go to the literal source to learn all the Ainu culture facts he adds into the story.

He'd deff die from losing that much skin, there's multiple ways to die from losing too much skin, I think if this were set in modern times it'd be different, but in 1904 he's essentially dead. but this is also anime so they'd find a way to make him survive it if they wanted to lol.

Wow man with a mission intro nice

Ainu are basically the indigenous people to Hokkaido Japanese took over Hokkaido at some point. They are basically like the Native Americans, tribal people who lived in areas of Russia and Hokkaido until Russians/Japanese took their lands over. Look it up. This shows actually based on all real life cultural shit and places/things.

Reign

also love how they drop Hijikatas name like that and these 2 fools with no history or cultural knowledge dont even bat an eye XD I was like ohhh shitt.

cassherms

I know they’ll loved the Ainu culture and of course the dark humor of this show! So hyped for them to see this! But i hope they could watch also the 3 OVAS of this anime as well

Shiraishi is definitely one of my favorite characters in this show and hopefully you'll see why as it goes on

Also when you guys get the chance watch the ending, I think it's a straight banger.

This anime's lack of quality animation is an insult to the manga.
