But goddamn, Rie Takahashi's voice acting is so fucking good. I swear her performance in this scene deserves some sort of award. The emotion in her voice is so powerful. Like, you could really hear the toll everything is taking on Emilia. From constantly failing the trial, to Puck not being there for all that time only to come back and leave permanently, and Subaru leaving her side in the middle of the night during a time when she was mentally vulnerable af. Granted, he didn't explicitly say or promise he was gonna be there, but for her in the state she was in, he pretty much implied it enough to the point it was as good as a promise. On top of all that, she has these old memories rushing in.

Yeah, so far in the novel it hasn't been confirmed that the repeatedly "I love you" from subaru to Emilia, being a hint of subaru to be satella or worse, that she is slowly changing him, but now this is going to be a very interesting loop. Look for it.

Damn. Really compared Rem to a dog. I wouldn't take it that far. Rem is fine as his mistress or wife. She loves him the same way he loves Emilia. The way he professed his love for Emilia on detail is just like how Rem described all the ways she loves Subaru. Subaru would still be a trash person without Rem. She changed him for the better regardless of whether he chooses her or not.

Not really for no reason. She did save his life at least twice and accepted him when almost everyone else either didn't trust him or wanted him dead and even gave him a home in an unfamiliar world

What I really loved about this episode is how Emilias reflection was in Subarus eyes the wohle time while Emilias eyes were drawn with this kind of cloudy shade over them and the way he only appeared as a reflection in her eyes after he basicly says that he wants to be her reason to keep going.

Would have been funny if Subaru actually showed viewer how much he was in agony talking there. He was inside the temple without it's approval, Echidna removed his right for the trial. Earlier episode it was shown when Subaru tried to go inside anyway he got back instantly puking his guts out. Good feeling to confess your feelings in that kind of feels in your body :D

Nice reaction, the constant jokes during an important scene was a mood killer but that 5:30 busting through the wall joke made me burst out laughing around 1 am in the morning. I’m also glad they are holding back the new opening because I would hate for you guys to get spoilers from it.

I think Satella and the Witch of Envy are different people. The Witch of Envy persona is a stalker with bad vibes personified but satella we see in the Witch part is different. If anything shes more subdued, her "I love you" felt more out of concern than it did with Shadowy Figure Witch Envy which feels more selfish. Also Lupa getting jumped scared brings joy.

Yeah, we can only assume that Satella and the which have SOME kind of connection. Wether or not it's time travel, alternate universes, reincarnation, we really don't have any way of nailing down what exactly the deal is just yet. Keep in mind, the author LOVES using red-herrings. So not everything that seems like a clue or a connection will work the way we think it does. Trust me, there's still A LOT more to this puzzel.

I much prefer Rem and Subaru's speech in S1 Ep 18, but his talk with Emilia was quite nice. They finally got to sit down and work some things out at least. Not sure if the relationship they are building is exactly the healthiest, but hey, it's what the two want. I do love the nice touch where they show Emilia's eye's at the end, and how at one moment, they are dark and murky, because she doesn't have anything to believe in. But then she closes it, and then it starts reflecting Subaru. At the same time, in Subaru's eyes, Emilia is clearly shown in the reflection. Both of them have each other as a "Reason to Believe". Might be an unhealthy codependence with each other, and might push Subaru to his breaking point, but we will see. Why couldn't Rem have gotten that kiss though? :P I bet Rem would have had Subaru in her eye's reflection. She already planned out an entire life and family with Subaru after all :)

Subaru and Emilia don't have co-dependency with each other, Rem and Subaru actually have co-dependency with each other and it is bad. Emilia was about breaking out of her co-dependency and Subaru ended up having co-dependency since he came into the world but it got really bad when rem gave her speech since he no longer had any self worth in himself

lmao no wonder they miss things and don't understand sometimes. Not complaining and I know they already saw everything but like this series dialogue is soo soo important. If you're not focused on the Subtitles you miss stuff. Oh and I can't remember which video it is but man that Game of Thrones line has me thinking, this writer is planning to wait like 12-15 years or something to ACTUALLY give legitimate answers to things with 37 loops and red herrings and Witches and Archbishops, like holy crap man. I know the writer is really good but part of me is really afraid this is going to be one of those shows that's REALLY good(just like GoT was) and he won't stick the landing or he'll throw some timey BS that doesn't fit right or has some holes in it and it's going to make the delicately built up house turn to glass and shatter. I reaaaally hope not but I almost wish the series was almost over and didn't have half the damn story left(as of this year or last he said it was at the middle).
