Late reply here, but I don't really see where the evidence of Narancia and Abbachio's death not happening is. Rolling Stone's ability is to stalk someone who is fated to die soon. And, if you are not in the stone's sculpture, then you will not die anytime soon. But, the only thing it does while stalking the person who is soon to die is it just slowly changes shape to match how they'll die. The sculptor's speach at the end implies that it will never, ever, ever change shape. Mista didn't actually do anything to the stone, but stop it from offering our loveable Bucciarati a peaceful alterative to the horrid death he would have. Had it been able to pursue Bruno and give him death, it would have soon after turned into Abacchio, and then Narancia. Mista breaking it didnt really change it's shape, but just showed the viewer that they were already destined to die soon.

Really good. Just Part 6 now!!!

THANK YOU :')

Slime.....?

Justin

Slime? Dr.Stone?

MakAttack G

To quote Roshi on the discord server "Just to clear it up we 100% are watching Slime season 2 and Dr Stone, just waiting until a couple things are wrapped up so we can fit them in without getting overwhelmed"

King Uma is life

This is the part of Giorno's character that nobody gets and is why he makes the perfect boss. His role this whole part has been him basically in the back making shot calls and winning fights providing support for other people who do most of the work. Giorno was already operating from the shadows and being a better boss than Diavolo this whole time. His character wasn't supposed to shine or overshadow everyone else cause he was already acting from a leadership position from the get go. Just like Dio back in Stardust Crusaders. Remember in part 3 when N'doul said the evil need an evil savior. Giorno was basically that for the gang. He gave them a mission to believe in.

Mason Scott

So basically musta broke the stone and change fate to kill all three of them instead of just one

Yo

They need to react to the newest ep of rezero

mitch anderson

Idk how to use discord, but would someone be nice enough to to recommend Talentless Nana to them on the discord? Obviously it wouldn't be for now but I think they'd like it

Francisco Rodriguez

Something that I find interesting when watching this episode the first time is how the sculptor has a bit of similarity towards Jesus Christ. How his character design has a half crown of thrones and how he try to warn others. Also what took a the cake was when he got shot he weirdly got shot in both hands in the middle. Probably more connects and sub text with dialoged he spoke but that's all I notice. Hope that's a little more insight or just guess from me for yall.

Soda

Hopefully part 6 later this year

Harrison Crandall

You should watch ascendance of a bookworm it is an incredible anime with suprise intrigue cute moments and a suprising amount of action and thrill

Jay rellim

yes exactly - if he didn't break the stone he would have died to diavolo (or some other means) or he could have committed suicide there too but everyone else would have survived regardless.

Gab Lad

Part 6 has a good chance of getting animated this year with the special event in April

mitch anderson

Adding to my earlier comment about recommending Talentless Nana, could you also push Bungo Stray Dogs?

Yo

Talentless nana pleaseee

Big Daddy Dre

Stray dogs is a dope show but it’s in like this weird space where you can’t tell if it’s popular are not...nobody talks about it but it got a movie and it’s spin-off just started airing

None None

One minute in, and they immediately understand why Gold Experience Requiem has been brought up in EVERY discussion about the strongest anime character for the past two decades.

MoJo

Thinking about it; if Bruno died back then odds are they all would've died. Fugo would have gone and met Giorno instead, and likely melt him with Purple Haze. The rest of their team would end up guarding Trish under Polpo's orders and without Bruno and Giorno they'd likely die to the Hitman Team. Trish might survive, but who knows what they'd do to her - and it's over if she meets the Boss. Mista might feel some guilt about their deaths - but his actions may have saved them all.

Matthew Osteen

watch thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan. It's an ova about Rohan and it manages to bring out the best of him. It shows what the new part 6 artstyle might be like.

Nigihaso

no abbachio and narancia werent supposed to die. Had bruno touched the rock, he wouldve died alone. Bruno was the 1 in the statue originally. So in a way, mista was the cause of abacchio and narancia`s death lol

Ben Suh

bruno's original fate: dying alone in the clock tower, mission over. changed fate: more people died but hey, mission success!

aesopf

Ayy someone tell them the time I got reincarnated as a slime is back.😐

Fing3rP0P

While the theme is neat. I can understand people not getting it at the start. Especially with Mista essentially cheating death so many times due to Rolling Stones effect. Which for most going from start to finish would think it's Copout writing. But it does kinda work knowing the context.

Joshua Pate

Yeah Dororo is Really Good

Melvin

Dororo is the goat <3

Why are people suggesting things? They are going to replace this with slime or dr stone that is airing this season. They are already apparently booked with reactions so they are gonna replace this with one of the series they are already watching.

Devin B

Just to add to this, whenever anyone from Buccellati's group was in a situation with Giorno and they make it through it they would make remarks about Giorno like how things tend to go his way before you realize it or how his actions makes you want to trust him. Even Mista at one point made a remark saying how Giorno was more like boss than Buccellati so I think those moments kind of hinted that Giorno would assume a leadership role in the future.

Jordon

I haven't finished the episode yet but after rewatching, I finally noticed something about the sculptor. The thorn crown, the holes through the hands, his pacifistic attitude. Def Jesus.

TyyT

Mista changed fate. Since bruno didnt touch it and ultimately die there he then would go on to meet giorno annnnd the rest is history. Who knows what wouldve happened if bruno died there but I know one thing, WE WOULDNT HAVE GOT THE MASTERPIECE THAT IS PART 5.

RavinFox .

Its crazy how many returning shows we have in just one season. I'm sure a bunch of people knew about it already, but I'm pleasantly surprised and cool with holding off the crazy suggestions for now.

RavinFox .

Roshi calling Golden Experience Requiem the "nah" stand lol

NV32

It seems like the Sculptor's stand worked like "hey, this is how you're gonna die in the future OR you can touch Rolling Stones and die painlessly right here". It wasn't that Abbacchio and Narancia were still fated to die anyways, but that they died *because* of how Bruno survived that day. Bruno said earlier that Fugo would look into the Leaky-Eye Luca incident, and Fugo and his Purple Haze would have absolutely clapped Giorno. Since the stone showed Bruno getting Swiss-cheesed by Kind Crimson, it seems like he might have tried to betray Diabolo regardless and failed because Giorno was out of the equation. Alternatively, Bruno touches Rolling Stones and dies then and there. No Bruno and Giorno means no Polpo death, no capo status in Bruno's crew, no mission to escort Trish, no betraying Diavolo — Part 5 basically doesn't happen. Also, the Sculptor is totally supposed to be Jesus Christ, with the holes in his hand like he's crucified. Figuratively, he's kind of Bruno's savior from a different life in which he doesn't do the right thing in betraying the Boss and saving Trish.

Devin B

Don't forget when the short old man gave Bruno the Capo status he said that he had to finish jobs that Polpo left unfinished and that was to guard Trish. If Bruno died from the stone Polpo would've eventually told the rest of the crew to do the job and they all would've most likely died.

Escape_Reality

The series is over....feels really bad man

Theo Traumato

The whole point of this arc was to reflect on the main theme of the story, what it all meant, and what you should take away from Part 5. It's obvious that Part 5 is about Fate/Reality (they are somewhat interchangeable) and facing it, but one could be forgiven for looking at most of the story and thinking that it's about fighting against fate and changing it, especially with the final fight. That's where Rolling Stones comes in. Rolling Stones tells us that that is not what the story is about, but it is instead about accepting fate and how we deal with it, with the stone being an obvious representation of fate. Like the stone, there are three ways you can deal with fate. Youu can just accept it, follow along with it and be at peace, like the Florists daughter. On the other, you can be like Diavolo, someone who acknowledges it, but runs from it and reject it, which is why he has the ability that he does. King Crimson allows him to skip past the fate/reality he does not want to accept. However, as Epitaph and Rolling Stones shows, some things are fated to happen, and no matter what you do they will happen. To reject it is to not live in reality, and does not bring about any true results, which is why Diavolo recieved the end that he did. Lastly, you can be like the main cast. The are people who accept reality, but do not allow it to affect their decisions. While that may seem like defiance against fate, it's really not. They accept that what happens happens, but they still do what they believe they need to do. This is demonstrated by Mista, someone who accepts Rolling Stone's power, and by doing so knows that he will not be killed if he smashed it like he did. And just like how the Mista changed the shape of the stone, the story is telling us that if you approach fate this way, while you may not stop what you wanted to stop, in fact you may make things worse, you may also have a chance of creating a better outcome through that struggle. As for why it's a flashback and why it takes place where it does, it both helps to cool things down after a bunch of intense arcs and moments, while also helping to reframe the story. Since it's the end of the story, you're probably going to think back on the plot already, but this arc not only encourages that further by taking place right before the beginning, but also makes you rethink the plot with the new perspective this arc gave you on the theme. [this is stolen from reddit}

Skebaba

Yeah, he's lowkey got the Crown of Thorns as well, as you can see

Zachary Provenzano

i liek to think that when mistah shot the boulder that was the finishing touch for how bruno dies fully.

Harrison Crandall

You should watch ascendance of a bookworm its great

Zandorum

The Manga is currently on Part 8 so Part 6 and 7 will be animated with time. We'll see how long until Part 6 though. The Manga is an "Ultra Jump" manga so it's 1 volume per month instead of per week so it'll be a bit before Part 8 is done and ready to be animated.

Mid_Nite_Crisis

Ya'll missed Bruno's zipper next to Polnareff at the end. A little token to his late friend.

grodon909

If you think GER is OP, wait until you hear about The World Over Heaven

K drago

cant wait for the rohans OVAs

The Pebble

I doubt they're gonna hear about that game that even only 30 percent of the Jojo fandom know about lol

Senjioh

No I think the sculptor was telling the truth when the stone was broken they prevented Brunos death at that moment which caused him to start events that would lead to the battle with the boss if Bruno had died right then and there none of that would have happened and Narancia and Abbacchio would have lived.

PimpDaddy

The JoJo pillows are so sick

The Endless

So for correction, no, Narancia and Abbachios death was not originally going to happen. The only way to change what was going to happen was to break the stone but he never said that breaking the stone was going not make it happen, it just was going to change the outcome and it did. It made it worse. There was no way to stop what was going to happen bc his Stand wasn’t what made it happen it was merely a prediction of what was to come so killing the user wouldn’t have had any effect either. So essentially it’s Mistas fault the others died.
