Coco
>>51656364

That's the thing though, people on both sides are the way they are because of the same people Reiner and his crew, along with Gabi and her crew were both straight up brain washed.

Oscar Barcelo

Next episode is going to be awesome

Asante Upshur-Benson

Eren said “So anyway, I started blasting” 🤷🏾‍♂️

Flare

I'm fucking weak lmaoo this man Roshi really said ''Udo caught the black Friday special''. Poor kid got trampled :(

Yo I was squeezing and un-squeezing my pillow and I had to remind myself to breathe a couple of times because this episode was just that amazing. And can I just say, Eren is my best boi, and I will die on this hill. People can complain all they want about it but this episode was just *mwuah!*

Anonymous

I’m still wondering where is Armin. He can just transform and blow everything up

Miguel NoName

been waiting for this all day!!! XD

EA

Damn bro why you looking at me so hard 24:39

Jay rellim

and the cycle continues. ppl talk about marley getting their karma for attacking paradis as if they're the only ones who deserve it but they attacked paradis bc they were murdered and killed by eren's ancestors (according to their history). so like they have their justification too. both sides just take turns being on top so lowkey eren will basically have to kill everyone to make sure eldians (edit: wall eldian. aka the eldians that dont want eren and paradis island gone) arent on the losing side of history again

kody mike

yo levi standing there like fucking batman

Jose Iglesias

Hammer Titan : “brother...you fulfilled your duty” *Transforms Lupa: “It’s the maid!!” 😂 Her being Willys sister is probably why she’s so pissed and forgetting about eating him and just tryna kill him

Otter Mane

its impossible for Eren to send letters overseas, they had to have been in Marley

Ted Cali

I do not get how everyone is hating on Tybur at the beginning. The man was basically Commander Erwin: "I am willing to sacrifice myself, everyone, their mother, and my mother if it means we have a small chance at victory." The whole point of the season thus far has been showing how there are heroes and villains on all sides of the conflict.

Jordan Odle

They may be brainwashed but what Eren just did justified it to them right here because right now Eren and the rest of them are acting like the devils they were proclaimed to be. They killed innocent people and children just like how everyone believed they were going to do and you can say whatever you want but at this point Eren is no different then the Marlians because as you can see Eren doesn't care about other peoples lives and that ideology is spreading to other soldiers. While Mikasa is wondering why we had to be the monsters that we hated for. So right now begins the fact that both sides are most likely equally as terrible it is just which one you appearance wise like.

Ruben

Willy was not faking anything. He was using Magaths logic to convince him to stop hesitating. He is himself an eldian but for the sake of Marley is willing to sacrifice himself and other's in order to get the world on their side. He's literally pulling an Erwin

Jev Cor
>>51657915

He cared until the moment Willy chose war, or did you sleep through the entire episode last week?

razgrizraven

"Can't they see I'm a Titan" Porco, They grew up and were specifically trained to kill titans. Y'all picked the WRONG fight.

Tay

yoo lmao the peoples elbow on the bleachers sent me

J. J.

You guys think way too one dimensionally, always biased with the protagonists, missing the complete point of this arc.

Ranginald Vagel

Crazy that the Survey Corps are using the Anti-Personnel ODM gear, never would have imagined that when it was introduced last season. We've gone from swords for everything to guns for people and rockets for Titans damn.

J. J.
>>51657586

Did you miss the part where this is staged in the Intermitent zone? He is literally killing Eldians.......

Gigi

yes there are parallels between the attacks and between gabi and eren but i hate the way ppl act like they're the same and are like 'keep the same energy for gabi as u did for eren'. like no, we've been through three seasons with eren as the main character and the entire time, eren has fought for freedom not just to kill, whereas gabi is a war hungry brat but naive and brainwashed. they're two different things, and fuck gabi for what she does. sasha should have finished her off smh or she should have died instead of zofia :(

Cleven Anthony

My personal opinion is I’m with Eren all the way lol. They were already confined to paradis island with no knowledge at all; the assault they launched for the power they wanted turned those kids into brutal warriors but eren most of all changed the most his mother the betrayals. All this is right here is a repeat of the day the armored titan destroyed the wall and allowed many many ppl to die and I think it’s justified. They inflitrated them took their love ones, before all that sentence them life on a island of titans with no say in ppl say eren is wrong but Marley fucked the ppl and their ancestors from paradis island TWICE Anyway aside from the kids cause they can still be broken out of the brainwashing I’m not sad for any of the people in Marley or the Eldians that work under them

Devin B
>>51658625

What Gabi does is kinda messed up but I can't blame her cause you have these people come up out of nowhere and start attacking your home and her people. Of course she doesn't know why they're doing this since like the many others in Marley they genuinely believe that the Paradis group are devils and them attacking like this is just reinforcing that idea into her head so what she does I can't blame her for it.

Erd'na

You got too comfortable binging the series Welcome to the weekly cliffhanger.

R3APER
>>51657478

Collosal Titan (at least the special one) is so huge it can't move much (or at least Bertolt's couldn't) maybe Armin is like the last resort? Plus he'd probably accidentally roast his friends from the heat it creates

Alan

How Eren said so anyways I just started blasting XD

Erd'na

Also i have to say. Even though Marley has been in war, they had the Eldian and Titans to do the dirty work. They stand no chance in fighting the survey corps. They are harden veterans who has been fighting titans.

Viela Guay
>>51659380

"No you can't just negate my experience with the advancement of weaponry" "Hahaha machine guns go brrr" Honestly all it'd take is one decent flak emplacement to down the entire survey corps

scottrager

damn y'all don't pay attention to shit lmaoo, i still fuck w y'all tho

Anton

wheres dr. stone at😤

Viela Guay

One thing I love about comment sections on AOT stuff is just how much of perfect example they are of why people can't break out of cycles of violence, someone will always feel the actions are justified

magentoe

I LOVE how they snuck in that shot of Levi watching over Eren from his own little assassin's creed perch, during that mashup of the scouts waiting for Eren to eat the War Hammer. And its shown just a couple seconds before he swoops in and slices Galliard's jaw. Perfectly placed, epic asf, and I didn't even notice until my 5th watch. Fucking. Brilliant.

yasmina C
>>51658256

I think that's where most people are at this point; in order to see the other side, they need to see more -- like Gaby does, so it makes sense to be on Eren's team side currently.

Dell

23:13 same reaction I had lol!!

afrodude

Man soooo many people miss the point of this show and this arc specifically that it hurts. Have we not been paying attention to what Eren and Reiner have been saying the last few episodes? People in Marley are not getting 'karma' or 'whats coming to them'. There's good and bad people on BOTH sides, everyone is just acting from the circumstances of their situation. Nobody is a good or bad person because they were born on one side of an ocean or the other. Killing civilians and children isn't justified just because you think your side is 'good' or 'right'. It's very tragic to see in comment sections and discussion boards people illustrating the exact cycle of violence and hatred that Isayama is trying to depict in this series.

Devin B
>>51661304

As much as I feel for Eren and the rest of the Paradis group this kind of attack is definitely unnecessary when you get civilians involved. Just like how Reiner and them prompted the Paradis group to get revenge something might come from this meaningless slaughter where Marley will up their game and retaliate. At this rate the fighting is never going to end.

Immoral Mortal

but are they really war crimes, they live in a different world

Mason Scott

Not a fan of the cgi im not hating and its not bad just compared to the other seasons its ehh wish it was more hand drawn

Charles Liu
>>51657673

I also think she can't eat him because her main body is a crystal that doesn't look like it has a mouth

matchaa

love how in s1 ppl were scared of titans and now these titans are scared of humans lmao

Exiova
>>51661538

If you go back to episode one of this season Gabi mentions the "rules of war" so I would believe war crimes would still be a thing. I mean outside of paradis and titans everything else plays by real world rules.

Dune

That man in the beginning who just sat there waiting for death already knew what was up.

DabnDab

Goblin Slayer is right, kill the children so they cant do it again. Wipe em all out, fuckers let titans eat people living in peace. The marley deserve nothing but fires and death raining down on them. Even if they were "brainwashed" they knew what they were doing and how they were treated and did nothing when they held all the power with being able to become titans. Seriously how ignorant of them to not just ursurp with the titan power and take over smfh

Reign

in hindsight whats happening to marley is wayyyyy less than waht happened to eren and the gang. Not only did they wipe out an entire city basically they killed nearly everyone inside the 1st wall layer from poverty/hunger and titan attacks as well. This is nothing.

Chelle
>>51662299

First of all, that’s not how brainwashing works. Brainwashing is mainly caused by propaganda. There was plenty of that against Eldians from the get go. And kids are especially susceptible to it. So no, they don’t know what they’re doing. We know that even Eren recognized this but he didn’t care. Second of all, what good would attacking Marley do to Eldians? They’ve said so many times already that Marley is the only place willing to keep Eldians around, everywhere else wants them gone. And other countries have already started to develop anti-Titan weapons. So of course the non-Paradis Eldians are going to defend Marley. It’s not them being ignorant, it’s basic common sense lmao.

Chelle
>>51663674

You really think that Eren is going to stop once he’s got the Warhammer? He already said he’s going to destroy all his enemies. And how many enemies does he have again? That’s right, the rest of the world. Not exactly “nothing” then, is it? And don't go saying they all deserve it either, because that's not even close to true. Plenty of them likely aren't even involved and are just ordinary citizens, and others have just been fed false information. Not that Eren cares tho

Chelle
>>51661673

You do realize how long it takes to hand draw animations, right? There were single scenes from WIT that took months at a time to complete. It would’ve taken 5+ years for this season to come out if they’d done it hand drawn. And WIT had terrible CGI so at least they switched over to MAPPA for it

Matth Miranda

I'm sorry for my English, I'm Brazilian. But I think that the vision that we have to have about Eren's actions going forward, is exactly what was said in the conversation between him and Reiner. Eren is a product of this chaotic and selfish world we live in. He basically has no choice but to continue fighting against his enemies, people did not choose peace so why should he die and choose peace too? Gabi didn't even spend 20% of what Eren went through.

Baraka Minja

Eren didn't send letters to paradis island. Think about it honestly would Marley deliver letters to paradis island? lol...

EZ

Anytime I see them use CGI for these early fights, you already know they are saving the 2Df for the good shit

Chelle
>>51665017

“Gabi didn’t even spend 20% of what Eren went through” 1. She watched her friends die 2. She watched innocent strangers die 3. She watched her home get demolished by the people she’d been led to believe are evil This episode was basically Gabi’s episode 1. The moment everything changed for her. I bet she’s going to go through a lot worse too, just like Eren did. The main difference between the two currently is that Eren is aware of the fact that the people he’s killing right now aren’t evil, whereas Gabi still hasn’t learned the truth. And now she’s fueled by hate, the very thing that used to drive Eren back in the very beginning.

Staus
>>51666133

That is what I keep telling myself, I'm still trying to get into the CG, but since the investors refused to give them another year to work we'll just have to enjoy what we get, there were some really cool 2d panels this episode so I can't wait for the big stuff

YaBoyRoshi
>>51659692

This is a great comment, people in the comments are upset because they think none of us “get the point” but this is EXACTLY the point. We’ve spent so much time with our protagonists its expected we will side with them, even if they are doing equally fucked up things. Having us spend time in Marley was a set up to get you close to some of these characters before the attack to begin blurring the lines. Lupa was clearly conflicted at one point. What Attack on Titan is doing here isnt some novel idea which is what folks dont understand, a lot of shows have done this or something similar in the past. The way we continue to side with Eren while hes committing terrible acts personally reminds me of how we continue to side with Walt in Breaking Bad even after he’s crossed certain lines.

Buzzlitebeer

The difference that i see with Eren and gabi is that gabi was already in the war previous of them getting attacked also she did some war crimes to the thing with the tank in the first ep

Christina

anybody else have an issue with going into full screen? or is it just my laptop or something?

Rudy Strother
>>51672902

True she did do war crimes but knowingly killing innocent civilians, especially children, is also a war crime. So they seem the same to me

Thamor

Funny still that they ignored the most goat anime of recent years. At least now they are all on the train hype of this show with rest of us.

Aizen Sosuke

war begets war. an eye for an eye makes the world blind. can't wait for the rest of the episodes!

Ben2730

this episode is 10/10 imo ffs what a crazy ride everytime i come back to AOT it makes me feel how superior this shit

sam

and the cycle continues... at this point there is no bad guy this is just the consequences of war and brainwashing, i don't agree with what eren is doing and i also didn't agree with what the marley side did to paradis, at the end of the day all i can literally see is this ending horribly lmaoo

Anonymous

10/10 episode for me...this episode is very reminiscent of the very first episode and Gabi is literally kid Eren. Even when Gabi said that she didn’t understand why her friends had to die, Eren had said the same the the last episode when he asked Reiner why is mom had to die. Once more, the cycle of hatred has began anew. It sucks because I kinda wish that it could’ve ended peacefully...like Eren killed children and innocent civilians...don’t get me wrong, Marley did the same thing when Reiner bussed through the walls of Paradise Island and I completely understand where Eren is coming from...tbh I probably would have done the same thing when I really think about it...I just wish it didn’t have to happen this way but we all know that could never happen because the hate runs so deep. This can be very evident in the survey corps because it seems like some members aren’t trying to kill civilians while others just don’t care and want to kill them all. I have 2 questions: (1) Mikasa told Eren to come home.....so how long has Eren been there? (2) It seems that Marley had no counter for the 3D maneuver gear but, in season 2, zeke took the 3D maneuver gear to study it...so did zeke not tell Marley about it and he has his own agenda or did he tell them but they were so far up their own ass that they didn’t listen. This show is fucking S-tier dude🔥🔥🔥🔥sorry for this being so long lol

Anonymous

Also I don’t think the soldier from last episode is Armin. I looked back at the last ep to look at the soldier’s face and it looked too feminine to be Armin...like it’s definitely a woman. But I do think Armin is there because in the trailer, he is in a boat so I guess he is going to take care of all the ships that are suppose to be coming

Foni
>>51688027

Zeke hasn't told Marley a lot of f things, seems like he has his own agenda.

Francis Alicka
>>51666522

they have a kill la kill pillow, ive seen new pillows after they finish a show. So what I think the case is, is if they have a pillow for the show, they seen it.

Brady

"IT JUST STARTED" lmao

MancunianProphecy

Willy Tybur be like "To the enemy forces of paradis-- a declaration of war...." *Rains of Castamere bellows in the background*

Dune
>>51702023

2hrs in and he'd still be like yo it just started!

Carlos

My guy Porco felt real pants-wetting fear for the first time hahaha

allmight_stan
>>51685167

haha this is exactly how I felt and still feel as a manga reader. All that is happening is literally consequences upon consequences. That's part of why I consider this one of the best plots ever. Isayama (the mangaka) made the setup as conflicting as possible (Eldian ancestors being so incredibly cruel to the world but descendants have done nothing wrong) so the hatred from both sides is way too deep for a better outcome as of now. I'm glad to see a fellow neutral here and I also completely understand when people take Eren's side or don't.

allmight_stan

I love how this show makes people question their morality. Innocents of Marley are being slaughtered... but they came at paradis first... however because they were fed the false history of Helios... by King Fritz's decision of die-for-peace because of the sin of their ancestors who were demonic as hell.... but Grisha/revolutionists did not care for the lack of action from Fritz in the walls, Marley based eldians were being oppressed and treated like devils, his sister was chewed on to death, hence Grisha usurped the founding titan... but now peace is no more an option, the rumbling cannot be absolutely prevented since Eren is not of royal blood... but he understands but he chose not to die, it's either this or wait for an end on paradis... The freaking mental and emotional wrestling does not end! And damn it, that makes this show 100/10 for me. All you can do is strap on for the ride.

KenniB

This episode was absolutely phenomenal! The hype, the tension was so real! As usual y'all reaction was great! Can't wait to see what y'all think of next week's episode. It's gonna be even more epic.

Tyler

Im with Eren, kill em all

Christopher M

I PRAY that Reiner explains to Gabi that this is his fault and I want to see the reaction when she finds out Reiner did the same thing to them. She WONT have anything to say.

Tyler Moon
>>51657786

Really? The guy pointed out they were the power behind Marley and were the ones who sent Reiner's Warrior team to Paradis in the first place. Other Eldians get treated horribly and he knows it, yet he stages a large production for everyone to go to war against Paradis instead of helping. Erwin was fighting against the threat of the titans under the impression that humanity didn't exist outside the walls. Their situation isn't even comparable.

Trell

Gabi is about to be the most hated character on the next episode bruh.

Senjioh

Wait shouldn't it be called the creation titan seeing as it can make many different weapons? The war hammer is just one option so why name it after that?

amberrr
>>52034680

maybe because the war hammer is it's special weapon. and war hammer sounds better than creation titan lol

amberrr

reloading gang wya

ANK

I honestly can't take erens side in this. I know they are feeling the pain that everyone on paradis felt all these years. But I just can't bring myself to side with anyone here.

Philbo

porco seeing how the scouts were coming towards him with the intent to kill and him confused because he is a titan. gives me chills everytime lol
