Norio Wakamoto is a fucking god when it comes to voice acting and his voice fits so well with Charles. In the recap movie, his range for his first appearance speech was probably one of the best voice acting I've ever heard.

The black knights here remind me of metal gear solid where they are essentially a PMC used as other nation's military forces so avoid some responsibilities but still have strong power.

The way the United States of Nations is similar to how the USA came to be. They were before nations with different militaries until they formed 1 nation under 1 military. A bit oversimplification but who cares. They also have 47 nations, almost as much as the number of states in the US. And they're fighting britannia, the worlds greatest superpower, just like how the US fought against Britain to gain independence.
